  1. I totally want to ghost this draft. just put me in for the fun of the process. I'm not going to even attempt LTC or nogrinding fe15.
  2. thing is fe6 has a lot of free deployment early on so it's pretty easy.
  3. thing is that when units are being compared within their game, you take everything into account. For example, Alan and Lance share a spot on HM tier lists since it's recommended to funnel experience into one of them more and leave the other one benched for Noah if he doesn't perform well enough. I.E. focusing mostly on one cav while having the other one trail along in levels. Noah's got solid bases and weapon ranks, so using him over one of Alan/Lance at an equal level is a fine enough choice if the more neglected cavalier was not performing well. in the case of Rutger, he's pretty much essential to fe6 HM due to bullshit bossfights with high throne buffs. The second hero crest generally has Dieck as the biggest contender. However if he's statscrewed, which is possible, the other hero crest users barring Ward are generally fine enough. Gonzo gets HM buffs as does Fir. Ogier is basically just a shitty version of Raven, and Lott's an average dude with average stats that just has a lot of availability. If he's blessed then he's great because FE6 warrior promo gains are stupid good.
  4. I think the thing is that the metric of unit comparison is a general loosely defined "efficiency". when someone like Mekkah or dondon talks about unit performance, it's often in terms of efficiency since LTC/Drafts aren't for everyone. However, the better a unit is within drafts/LTC, the better they are for general use. I.E. a lot of folks wouldn't think about it much, but fe6 Shanna/fe8 Vanessa are really stupidly good if you funnel experience into and snowball into super strong units. This comes from a drafting perspective. However a 0% growths perspective reveals that, in a vacuum, they're still great due to class and timing. and yeah, FE game balance has never been good.
  5. emiya's buff is kosher.
  6. in drafts she's a solid mid-late round pick due to being early, having an uncontested promotion item, being able to get exp funneled into her, and getting a mount come midgame. even in LTC runs without seth/franz/vanessa, she's still viably useful overall as a taxi and as someone who can longbow the eggs in that one chapter, plus being able to use the brave bow to ensure KOs on certain flying enemies. she's not completely shitty, but fe8 has this thing where it's easily steamrolled.
  7. ayra's stronk but there's ways around her.... well as long as you got that blue unit for PP or EP....
  8. neimi at 10/1 ranger is basically a taxi for your lord that can break walls with brave bow and longbow.
  9. FE8 is so easy that neimi can get levels. i mean she just needs to pop speed a few times and maybe 1-3 points of strength and then she's ORKOing mages and 2RKOing fighters and shit. This lets me killfeed gilliam or whatever. so she's ok.
  10. hmn the monkeys are pretty funky. I'd probably guess that Panpour is probably the best one since it gets scald at lvl 22 and then you can promote asap after that and then get decent stats with scald+3 coverage moves.
  11. I coulda sworn samurott got swords dance and megahorn.
  12. i mean Emboar/Samurott are good due to the lack of good pokemon within the fire/fighting/water pokemon. that and they have stupidly large learnsets. Serperior got fucked over hard.
  13. I mean Emboar's competition for ingame runs are essentially For fire types Pansear, who sucks and is rare. Larvesta, who's late as fuck and comes at like level 1. Litwick, who's sorta late but does fine if you want the dude. He's a pure special attacker though Darumaka, who is great but let's be fair. Hustle is a bit annoying. Heatmor, who may as well not exist and is mediocre. For Fighting types Sawk, who's good but kinda rare. Throh who's in the same boat as sawk in terms of availability but isn't as good. Probably not worth it over Emboar. Mienfoo, who evolves late. Otherwise I'd probably say it's a worthwhile pickup? Timburr. Eviolite Gurdurr is ok and Conkeldurr is obviously great. It's just that Eviolite being locked on Gurdurr lategame means no lucky egg use unless you specifically aim for it. Still it's a fine pokemon. The Sacred Sword Trio are all fine lategame catches on their own. Like almost all of the fire types suck outside of darumaka/litwick and almost all of the fighting types bar Sawk have the issue of either being late, having hassle in needing a trade evo/eviolite stapled on them, or just get outclassed by Emboar (throh). Seems to me that Emboar is basically able to mimick the role of Sawk+Darumaka in one go by being a diet version of both. Iirc, brick break isn't too difficult to get and Emboar's pretty much a fun pokemon. I mean hey I love Emboar all around. It's fun to use with that crazy learnset. Fucking Scald is a good toy, and having easy access to a ridiculous amount of coverage is always fun. (I mean doesn't it get like head smash, heavy slam, and payback/assurance via lvl? jesus christ.) I look forward to your Liepard writeup.
  14. i mean once you break things down, Fire Emblem uses a ton of similar concepts to other well known and famous JP made fantasy games.
  15. there's no connection since dragalia's just being licensed iirc for an english release. It's got connections from Granblue Fantasy however.
  16. This is a draft for at least 4 players. The game ends at the battle with Red. Feel free to try the gym leader rematches. Starters are free. Usage of HM slaves is also free. Feel free to use a randomizer to get the trade evolutions doable in-game if you're using an emulator. Pokewalker pokemon also count under the normal draft pool. If you've got a pokewalker then feel free to use it. The draft will be for 6 pokemon per team, then enough rounds for 3 additional postgame only pokemon. Version exclusives get to be picked twice. Anyways it's not like anyone really cares about these outside of maybe Gliscor. It's a snake draft Red Gyarados counts as magikarp as well here. Teams Laura Eevee (Vaporeon), Dratini, Miltank, Nidoran-F, Spearow, Venomoth Suicune, Chansey, Kabuto Ether Magmar, Scyther, Gastly, Togepi, Mankey, Machop Zapdos,Articuno, Moltres Hylian Hoothoot, Wooper, Swinub, Eevee(Espeon), Chinchou, Paras Skorupi, Aron, Snorlax Me Zubat, Heracross, Jynx, Geodude, Tangela,Mareep. Corphish, Porygon, Omanyte
  17. how the fuck.... I'll take Ogier for another competant warm body. @Finalinsanity
