  1. I recently started playing fates again so I can join if you're still looking for people. The invite expired again though.
  2. Maybe neither. It could be something new like growth pills or something. But that's gonna be just as bad as time travel. It's sad but I don't think there will be a timeskip. I really want it but I just don't see them going that direction.
  3. I always just assumed Arvis gave the weapons to the kids because he thought he would be a good emperor, so he didn't fear any rebellions. He thought the people would be happy. It could even benefit him, Faval almost ends up fighting for him with Ichival. Seliph is an exception because he is the rightful emperor, so to Arvis he is the only one with a legit reason to rebel so that's why doesn't give the Tyrfing back right away. Maybe he found out Shanan hangs out with Seliph and that's why he kept Balmung from him. The thing about Arvis is, he's willing to do evil things to accomplish his goals, but not any more then neccesary. So betraying and murdering a bunch of people is fine but stealing their weapons just cus he can is something he wouldn't do. Also, when Ethlyn goes to the desert in chapter 5 she doesn't have her weapons with her. She left them in Leonster so that's why Leif gets them.
  4. FE9 Sothe's average stats only has one page. The old serenes had 2 pages, one for his average stats in fixed mode and one for his average stats in random mode (these are higher because blossom is better in random mode)
  5. I did some testing a while ago. Basically every time you level up in the arena there's a (pretty high) chance you get less stat growths then usual. There's a way to avoid this bug though. When you're about to beat the enemy, cancel the arena and continue. It has to be the last round of the battle. If you do this you will get proper growths.
  6. If you give a sword to a thief it turns into a dagger. If you give it to an assassin it turns into two seperate daggers. If you give it to a mercenary it turns into a huge blade. If you give it to a lord it turns into a rapier.
  7. It's not entirely comprehensible but it's better then Japanese letters, and if they can be changed them to danc and ena I think it's also possible to change them to proper abbreviations? The patch did change the letters as you can see in this pic. http://imgur.com/D7hoyw5

  10. I guess this new patch is based off the old menu patch? The thing is, that patch was kinda confusing to begin with, it used old item names (like hero weapons instead of brave weapons), the commands were confusing and the skills weren't translated (the skills are in japanese even in your new version). Wouldn't it be better to edit Shaya's patch instead? People are more familiar with that one, and then we'll also have a decent dialogue until the new one is ready.
  11. Just tried it out, some things I've noticed: Preperation screen, character status screen, armory and convoy have been improved. Much more understandable now. The commands are a little confusing now. Dance is Add and trade is EI. Some other changes as well. Some of the item names are abit confusing too, especially the staves. The class names are very long now, and sometimes they'll go over the portrait. Doesn't really bother me but I thought I'd let you know. The heroes in the end no longer freeze the game. And the combat window is using japanese letters...any plans to translate that?
  12. I think he meant that Delmud can't always inherit A swords because his father can't always use A swords (for example if Azel is the father). This is why swords are the easiest weapons to inherit, because in gen 2 you begin with two characters that can always inherit A swords (Seliph and Larcei). So for example if you pair Lex with Ayra inheritence really isn't a problem because even though Lex can't use swords, Larcei can just inherit an extra sword and sell it to her brother.
  13. When do healers get double heals and when do they get single heals? It seems very random...

  15. Just a question, will the combat screen be fixed in this patch? Gibberish like Swa, danc, ena etc. kinda makes it confusing. And what about item descriptions? Right now they are either japanese or gibberish. For me these are the two main reasons why this game is unplayable, which is really sad cus it seems like an awesome game.
  16. anything with serra, anything with larachel. Marisa, Lute and Dorcas had some good ones as well. Hector/Farina wasnt bad either, and I really liked Rath/Lyn too. GBA games truely had the best supports, the FE6 ones were abit simple but the other ones were perfect. FE09 supports were abit too serious imo, and I don't think I need to tell anyone why FE10 supports suck. Tho I haven't played 12 and 13 yet so I'm hoping to see some humorous supports like in the old GBA games there.
  17. If I had to make a living I would probably be a bandit and raid villages. I'd only raid the villages in the territory of the bad guys cus they never seem to bother killing the bandits. In fact they can't kill me even if they wanted to because we're technically in the same team. Stay far, far away from the good guys tho.
  18. Probably wyvern knight or hawk laguz, I have alot of experience IRL with riding dragons and transforming into a bird. Actually I would be a myrmidon, it sounds alot of fun being a quick swordfighter but I really wouldn't last long, unless I manage to promote ofcourse in which case I would dodge everything and crit the crap out of everyone.
  19. I like this and I do these kind of runs almost exclusively. I do have one suggestion, which imo makes the game much more exciting. No restarts at all. If your lord dies or you fail to defend in a defend map, its game over and you have to start over completely (or give up). This makes the hard chapters even more dangerous and requires you to be really careful with your lords (except Hector, he doesnt die anyway) . One little mistake with a lord and you can lose everything. It's not for everyone but imo its definitely worth a try. But it is very hard. I've never actually completed one of these runs, my last one was in Hector normal mode which went decent, but on the last chapter I kinda messed up with Eliwood, got a little unlucky and....yeah, died on last chapter. Just started again a few hours ago (Eliwood hard mode this time) and so far so good, but I'm still at the easy chapters. Also another thing I do is I don't look up where the reinforcements come from or where the enemies are in fog of war maps. This can lead to some crazy situations, in the last run at four-fanged offense I had no idea Loyd would be in the middle of the map with a sick blade to beat the crap out of my army. I even used a torch but didn't see him coming. I lost some pretty strong units there but Guy managed to beat him with alot of luck (though I later lost him anyway)
  20. Fastest: FE7 C21(E)/C22(H) Slowest: FE9 C17 edit: just did chapter 22 in hector mode and its alot slower there because of the boss position, but in eliwood mode it can be done in 1 turn.
