  1. Pretty sure she just wanted power. Nothing more. The only reason why she defends Arianrhod is because Edelgard is attacking HER. The slithers didn't know that Edelgard would attack this place and it was a attack directly targeted to kill Cornelia. As she learned about the attack she know it was targeted toward her and because of that she used the troops of the kingdom to defend herself.
  2. Another point hinting at Adrestia as the Holy Roman Empire are the noble positions. In the Holy Roman Empire t5he positions like Chancelor, War MInister etc were inheritable in a family. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prince-elector#High_offices And also some of the emperors did try to centralize the empire and failed, just like Edelgard's father and the rebellion of the six houses.
  3. The show me the facts. Show me thew FACT that the game tells you that she wants Dimitri and Claude death., It's NEVER mentioned in the game, that she hired Kostas to kill Dimitri and Claude. Never ever. Why do you act as if this are facts which are mentioned in the game? There are indicators that thos could be the case, but there are no facts. Is it so hard to understand what "fact" means and why this are NOT facts? If she told Kostas "Kill Dimitri and Claude" that would be a fact. We only know she hired him to kill "as much nobles as possible" which not necessary means Dimitri and Claude. She don't even tell him where. She could just have hired him to kill random nobles in Fodlan and he just choose the students on his own.
  4. No we know NOT that Kostas was hired to specifically kill Dimitri and Claude. Edelgard also has no reasons to tell him the truth. Why should she tell him "YOu attacked me to and that's why I want to kill you, Kostas"? That would be stupid. We don't know the exact plans she had with Kostas, so can we please stop to claim theories as facts?
  5. Would it be possible to get the tecture for the Sword of Moralta? Or a better picture of the model? I want to see how it looks to draw it, but ingame it's not that easy.
  6. Again, Kostas and the Flame Emperor NEVER said who his target was. They never said that she wanted them to kill Dimitri and CLaude. That's NOT started in the game at all. Of course she wouldn't tell Kostas the true reasons why she hired him and why she was disappointed. We only know that she called him for 'killing as much nobles as possible'. Nowhere did they specifiy that he targeted Dimitri and CLaude in her request. Edelgard could be dissappointed by him because he nearly killed HER. There are other possibilities and ingame there is never started that Dimitri and CLaude are her target. Why did she follow Dimitri and Claude if they were the target? Wouldn't it be better for her to run in a different direction than them in this case?
  7. Only if it still is easy to safe scum for certain fruits.
  8. For 2.: YOu can do a soft reset by pushing +, -, L and R at the same time.
  9. The plan doesn't make any sense. Again WHY would she try to kill them? And why did she NEVER try it again during the school phase? Never ever? Not even once? Even killing Claude would be stupid during this phase. What would happen if he was death? The family of Gloucester would be dominant in Leicester and while they were Pro-Empire during the war, this wouldn't really benefit her. It would result in a united and strong Leicester which likely could have stand against her. It would be very risky. The civil war in leicester between Gloucester and Claude is way better for the empire than a united Leicester.
  10. The wikia page is edited by humans too. So why don't you answer my questions if you're right? Really... the game NEVER says that she intented to murder Dimitri and CLaude with Kostas. Only that she wanted him to kill nobles. Show me the exact place in the game where she clearly said that she wanted Claude and Dimitri to be death in this scene. I want a normal discusion, but I don't get answers except "She tells Kostas to kill nobles this means she wanted to kill Dimitri and Claude" which isn't very convincing on it's own. Especially if I already proved you with some other informations and questions which make this assumption very unlikely in my eyes. Again: 1. Why would she kill them and bring herself in danger too? 2. Why should this be her only plot to kill them and she never tries it again in her school phase? She had a lot of oportunities to try it. 3. Why did she hire a random Bandit for it and didn't make a better plan? She has Hubert on her side who clearly would have better ideas to kill them. 4. What exactly would she tell at school? They were attacked by bandits and she was randomly the only unharmed survivor? I just want a civil discusion, but it's not helpful if the only counter argument is 'She tells Kostas to kill nobles which means she wanted Claude and Dimitri death'. What ewxactly are your sources? Why do you asume she wanted to kill them? Wikia is not exactly a good source, really. It's edited by humans with their own interpretations too.
  11. SHOW me where she said it. She did NOT say she wanted to kill Claude and Dimitri. Stop making it up. It doesn't make any sense at all, especially if SHE was the one who got nearly killed. You made this whole stuff up just because she told Kostas "Kill as many nobles as possible". This is your ONLY base for your claim that she wanted to kill them to have less opponents later. You didn't answer any of my questions at all. You just take a sentence and claim your own stuff and tell me she did say stuff she never said.
  12. Why miraculously? it was quiet well planned. 1. Ferdinand did mention, that maybe one of the three did know that mercenaries were in this area. 2. We don't know much about the teacher. Maybe he was easy to scare? So the plan was easy: Kostas attacked the group which leads the teacher to run away. The second part of the plan was to let the mercenaries rescue them, exactly as happened. You don't need a miracle for that, it sounds very easy. And of course she wouldn't tell Kostas her true plan. Why should she? He is just a random bandit she asked. There is no reason for him to know her plan. And everythink worked except that she didn't predicted Byleth to turn up and become teacher. Normally Jeritza would be the replacement teacher and she would have got her ally as teacher in the school. Perfect plan that way without any miracles needed. Also if her plan was to kill Dimitri and CLaude why did she FOLLOW them? Wouldn't it be better to run in another direction than to risk her own life too? Also why was this her only plot to kill them? Why didn't she try it in other occassions? And why would she have such a dumb plan anyway? Edelgard is way smarter than letting a random thug kill Dimitri and CLaude.
  13. Do you really think she would tell Kostas her full plan? It would have looked weird if he just attacked the teacher and nobody else. Also shje isn't emperor yet, so she has no gain from this chaos. She has no reason to tell Kostas her true plans and intentions. It just doesn't make any sense for her to kill them both and bring herself in danger there. If there wasn't Byleth she would have died too. Oh wow. That's AFTER the timeskip. During the WAR. That's not a source for her intentions during the early game before the timeskip.
  14. And where exactly does this prove she wanted to kill Dimitri and Claude? And what her true goals were? YOu made stuff up based on this textbox and assume she means Dimitri and Claude which makes absolutelly no sense at all. What would she archive by that? Also she was attacked too which clearly wasn't her plan. Most likely she wanted to get ride of the teacher and replace him with Jeritza and nothing more. Based on a statement made by Ferdinand in the monastery it's likely that one of the students did know that Jeralt or other mercenaries were there. So she know that the three of them were safe. There would be absolutelly no reason for Edelgard to kill Dimitri and Claude at this point, it would archive nothing for her. She isn't emperor yet, so what would she get from it? Also you assume she told Kostas the truth while it's more likely he was just a tool and didn't even know her true intentions and plans.
  15. I just played Blue Lions and Edelgard NEVER EVER said she just remembered that child. Do you have an actual quote for that? She pretty surely remembers Dimitri, she knows him. There is no reason to beliefe she forget them, especially since she still carried the dagger with her after all the years. She even cried after she had to kill him in post-timeskip. Also she NEVER said outright that he was supposed to kill Dimitri and Claude. Stop making up false statements in this argumentation. Do you have any actual quotes or screens proving that? Do you have any sources for your statements? Because I never saw this sentences in any of my runs.
  16. The game NEVER says her plan was to kill Claude and Dimitri. Especially since said brigand would have killed HER too. Would be a stupid plan. Why do people think her plan was to kill Claude and Dimitri? Especially for Dimitri it makes no sense for her to kill him, at least not at this point. She isn't heartless toward him.
  17. Very, very unlikely. Especially since Hubert literally tells you that he didn't like that Monica is so close to Edelgard (most likely because Monica is controlling Edelgard)
  18. I really don't beliefe she wanted Claude and Dimitri killed specifically. And bring herself in danger too. Caspar even mentioned that the new teacher would have been Jeritza. Also Ferdinadnd asked in one month if anybody of the three did know there were mercenaries in this area. So my idea how it was, is, that Edelgard ordered Kostas to kill the Teacher. But she did know that Jeralts mercenaries would be there and that Claude, Dimitri and she would be safe because of that. She wanted to get ride of the teacher so that Jeritza would take over as new class teacher, which would make it easier for her to infiltrate the school, since this would basically make her ally her class teacher. Otherwise the whole stuff wouldn't make much sense. There is no reason for Edelgard to order Kostas to kill Dimitri and Claude at all. She doesn't seem like somebody who would kill them in that way. Especially not Dimitri.
  19. DId they ever confirm that her plan was to kill the studends with Kostas? Why should she do it, especially since she would be targeted too? She would have died to if Byleth wasn't there with his time powers. I'm pretty sure she just wanted to get ride of the teacher to make Jeritza the new class teacher (which would have been happened if Byleth didn't turned up, Caspar says so in the monastery).
  20. I never had this scene. And how should Edelgard even know they both are dragons? It's not like it's known publically.
  21. Also remember that Edelgard in the BL route is WAY different from Edelgard in BE and other routes I guess. So she is a very different person in that route and already has fallen to being a mercyless person controlled by TWSITD. She isn't herself on that route and loses every person who could have safed her.
  22. Bernadetta was after the timeskip after she already lost her mind because not having a friendship with Byleth. That exemple doesn't count. BE Edelgard wouldn't do that. Also she DID wanred Byleth that it could be a trap. She surely didn't wanted him to die and she did as much as she could without getting a target of the TWISTD. She can't talk openly about them.
  23. Maybe she don't but you really think they control her by being nice to her without threating her and make her rember that she is in the weaker position? They have hands on her family and could kill her father whenever they like.
  24. Also I'm pretty sure not much people would risk their own life (those who slither in the dark would have no concerns getting ride of Edelgard or harm her in some other ways) just to safe the father of a guy they like. People don't seem to understand that those who slither in the dark are basically in control of Edelgard. She has no power to opose them. They have nukes and everything. They could kill HER father easily if they wanted itInsert other media
