The Fire Emblem 3 Houses General Questions Thread
Hauke replied to Captain Karnage's topic in Fire Emblem: Three Houses
When does the game ask you? I don't have this when starting a new game... -
This update changed Bernadetta's support with Byleth
Hauke replied to Jedi's topic in Fire Emblem: Three Houses
Because the spirits didn't indicated anything which happens at all, while the new scenes are supposed to represent what happens. -
The Fire Emblem 3 Houses General Questions Thread
Hauke replied to Captain Karnage's topic in Fire Emblem: Three Houses
Eh... are you sure? Or are you just confusing it with the question 'do you want to use a ENDGAME file for a NG+?'? -
I like how every one here completelly ignores the profiles which means technically we have more than 5 slots... even if it was already mentioned. We have 5 slots per player/profil. In Fates we had 9 safe slots for everyone who uses the cartridge. So if you have a sibling or wife/husband everyone will only have 4,5 safe slots. If you have two other people everyone will only have three slots.

I think there are so few maps because the existing maps are very detailed in the 3D third person view. But I really wish there would have been more.

This update changed Bernadetta's support with Byleth
Hauke replied to Jedi's topic in Fire Emblem: Three Houses
Maybe they changed the Felix/Annette because she is NOT high up in the scene. It's weird if she stays right in front of him and he is telling her 'You're high up' -
What would you like the DLC story to be? (Full spoilers)
Hauke replied to DefyingFates's topic in Fire Emblem: Three Houses
I hope it's not a new house with new students. That would drestroy the whole world building. The whole world is already established. Shoehorning a new house with new characters into it would feel way to forced. Why didnÄt this characters already existed in the world? It would just feels wrong to force something like this in an established world -
Did Byleth REALLY have to be a Professor?
Hauke replied to Naoko_Akamori's topic in Fire Emblem: Three Houses
Byleth is a famous mercenary who even has a nickname called 'The Ashen Demon'. Doesn't sounds like a noob for me. And they also said ingame, Caspar did, that they thought Jeritza would be the next teacher if Byleth didn't show up. And if Jeritza can be a teacher I think Byleth can it too. -
Did Byleth REALLY have to be a Professor?
Hauke replied to Naoko_Akamori's topic in Fire Emblem: Three Houses
Because it's a military academy and not a school. And as mercenary he has a lot of experience in military stuff. He he was a mercenary becoming teacher in a high school I would agree with you, but he is teacher in a military academy. -
This update changed Bernadetta's support with Byleth
Hauke replied to Jedi's topic in Fire Emblem: Three Houses
It's not the same line and context. It's obviously dumbed down. And I don't see anybody calling for bocotts here. But it's a stupid change. -

I'm not sure it's Nintendo of America. The change is in the European version too (at least in german which is what I can confirm) -
She is nothing of that. She want's a new goverment were positions are given out by talent. She even steps down on her own after completing what she had done and gave her title away to a worthy successor. She doesn't want to rule dictatorial. She want's to introduce a government where everyone can participate and the most talented people can get the fitting position in government, regardless of crest, status or money. How is this selfish, egoistical and dictatorial? Also it's not about 'loving crests'. Even Hanneman and LInhardt do agree that crests can cause trouble, did you read their supports with Lysithea? Crests are a bad thing in the society. Or do you nsay we should still be ruled by nobility just because they are born nobles? Also she DESTROYs those who slither in the dark because she hates them. She doesn't tolerate their actions because they are allies. She tolerates their actions because she can't do anything against them. How should she stop them without them nuking the capital? She has no choice.

Is it true that the death knight uses a rafail gem in this chapter? If yes the horse slayer would be useless anyway.

I don't think he has. It's just an animation which the dataminers reuse for different models not an unique one. You can especially see it with sothis where her model is totally unfitting for tea time but she still has the animation. At least as far as I know it's just a generic reused animation Rhea and Jeralt have unique dialogue for tea time on the other hand

How do you feel about the quality of translation so far?
Hauke replied to Timlugia's topic in Fire Emblem: Three Houses
So it's okay for media to portray homosexuality and transsexuality as something negative and bad? Okay. I totally can understand why they changed it, I have some gay and transsexual friends and they don't like stuff like that, because it doesn't help them to get respected in the society if they are allways downplayed as something negative in media. -

Hauke replied to Timlugia's topic in Fire Emblem: Three Houses
It's more about the context and the reactions of the other people. And the japanese term which is used. I think it was Otokonoko? Which is quiet controverse. In Japanese it has a different meaning behind it and not a harmless "he mistake that guy for a girl". The reaction from Ingrid and the audience would be "You hit with a guy? YOu are sick! That's not normal!" In the localization Ingrid just says "You dated a Scarcraw? That's not normal!' -
That's mostly not true. In some things yes but in general there was progress. But during the renessance there was a big movement by the humanists to blame the Middle Ages for everything and make some stupid claims about them.

Hauke replied to Timlugia's topic in Fire Emblem: Three Houses
I think that was just cencored because it had a very homo/transphobic touch in Japanese and they didn't wanted to bring this meaning into the English version? -
"Addressed the incorrect character design in event still images." So... does Hanneman has his beart back in his S Support image?

A lot. Not as much as the last 100 years in our world, but enough.

Is Edelgard responsible for *Spoiler's* death
Hauke replied to HeartTranquil's topic in Fire Emblem: Three Houses
There is no "evil" in three houses. Maybe the TWSITD. But neither Edelgard or the Church are evil. But the church is against everything Edelgards wants. Do you really think Rhea would say "Oh of cvourse Edelgard. Let's get ride of the crests."? And I never said it weren't lies. But she does beliefe the lies because that's what her family had passed down for centuries. Would you believe a church which clearly tells lies more than your own family? It's totally understandable that she believes this stories. Everyone would believe them. Except the allmighty internet people who never believed a lie in their whole life. People are judging Edelgard by some higher standard which theyself never could fulfit. -
Is Edelgard responsible for *Spoiler's* death
Hauke replied to HeartTranquil's topic in Fire Emblem: Three Houses
That's a stupid argument. She does believe this stories because they were passed by her family for generations. Also she IS true. The church does nothing against the crest system. Also of course everybody her would rather believe Rhea in RL, right? Also the church is lying too. If Edelgard sides with the church how would this get ride of the crest system? Rhea would NEVER help her get right of the crest system. -

Hauke replied to HeartTranquil's topic in Fire Emblem: Three Houses
It was basically a way to tell 'It doesn't help if you are down, you have to keep going' Also she didn't ally with them. At this point she was still a puppet of them. They control the whole empire and her father. Do you really think she has a choice? She wasn't Emperor yet, she was just the princess of an empire which is under their control. Thy created her. Which "power" does she have before her coronatioN?
