  1. And that really changed Gaara. I didn't expect him to apologize to his siblings right after.
  2. Oh, that's another one of the parallels played between him and Gaara, and then like Kakashi/Obito. There's a lot of those similiarities between characters, and it's pretty cool. I don't know much about Obito, but I really like he's basically Uchiha Naruto. His relationship with Rin was also really cute, and it's heartbreaking how things end up.
  3. About two weeks ago, I was coming back home, and I realised a woman smiled right at me, and I realised a second later. Like, I looked behind me at first just to see who was behind me, and she might've taken that as a sign I was into her or something, so she smiled right as she was passing by me. But, silly as I am, I was looking at what was behind her, and it might've seemed as if I was ignoring her instead. It was funny, and I feel silly and a bit "rude" (whatever word fits this situation). Granted, I wasn't into her (she wasn't bad, just not my type), but it felt humourous, and I also felt bad I didn't want to ignore her.
  4. I haven't watched much Naruto, but I spoiled myself a ton about it. One thing I really like, is Kishimoto's play on character parallels, and especially with this rivalry Naruto/Sasuke dynamic with multiple characters: Kakashi and Obito Rock Lee and Neji Orochimaru and Jiraiya Also other parallels, like Naruto reminding Tsunade of Nawaki and Might Gai's story because a lot like Rock Lee's. The underdog story of hardwork overcoming inborn abilities is the most inspiring thing about the series, and you can feel the heart in it.
  5. yeah, well, that reminds me of the time you didn't have a weird ass baby avatar >:,v
  6. They're 14 and 15 respectively, but they look like 18 or older.
  7. I always felt a lot of the Naruto characters looked a lot older than their current age. Only ones that look kind of their age are like, Naruto and maybe Sakura. Most of them look like 3 years older, namely characters like Sasuke, Gaara's team (especially Kankuro & Temari), the Sound Team (Dosu, Zaku & Kin), and especially the random genin in the chunin exams all look like they're 20. Naruto's the only one that really feels like a 12-year old. Don't know if it's something with their voices or the way they draw them or what, but it's not like they're jacked and super tall or anything.
  8. I mean, why else would he kill his girlfriend and follow him to every world.
  9. Never even tried skateboarding, but reading this alone is somehow curious to me. Wonderful. Funny enough, I had a skateboard since I was 8, but it's basically just decoration.
  10. That Walhart is a Risen that can reproduce and that anything weird or completely fantastical is acceptable because it's a world of flying horses and magic. v:
  11. I also like the amount of twists in the Chinin Exams tournament, like when Shikamaru fought Temari. The fight might come off as boring from the outside, but you really have to appreciate the amount of stuff Shikamaru can pull off on her. There's also the scene when they're chasing Gaara, I'd seriously never expect Shikamaru teaming up with them, and him of all people being the one playing hero. Then there's also how Shino really made himself get respect, going as far as to get back at Kankuro for forfeiting, which gives these side characters their time to shine. Lastly, I'm really rooting for the old man The Third. Didn't think he'd be this powerful, and Orochimaru is always throwing low blows at him that affects him at psychological level. I was really liking the foreshadowing of the events a few episodes prior, too.
  12. I haven't watched it since 2007, back when it was airing in CN. Here in Argentina, they only aired up to about Chunin Exams (right when Naruto meets with Jiraiya), and then they kept repeating from the start. But now it's on Netflix, and I've started about 2 months ago. Naruto is about to fight Gaara, so it's almost towards the end of S3. The series is as good as I remember it, save for very few scenes (namely in S1) that it feels a bit dated, but it's not that bad. The series does a really good job of making you feel the emotions and the thrill of the underdog story, of never giving up on your dreams. The fight with Neji was specifically a very motivating dilemma, as well as anything regarding Rock Lee. Rock Lee doesn't give himself enough credit, I still think he claps Neji, Sasuke and Gaara. Thanks, plot armour. : D
  13. That's funny, because I think Family Guy is the only thing worth watching nowadays. v:
  14. That was a fun(nny) read. Can't say I agree with everything, but it was nice hearing some of old half Year 1 anecdotes. I just don't feel there's any possible way this game could be a chore. I really enjoy it, and it's not like I have to spend hours a day to sustain and succesfully thrive on it. F2P life has been very generous, and I'm sure you'll agree. The only requirement is putting in some effort, but nothing it doesn't pay off in the end. And, if anything, F2P life is a sure way to never get bored of the game, and have a healthy balance with it. I've gotten most of the characters I wanted, and I'm always looking forward to fully completing and maximizing them, as well as the expectence of new surprises in seasonal banners or just new characters and skills in general. I'd never thought I'd get as far as I did with my characters (i.e my F2P +10 Bride Charlotte), and I completely surpassed expectations of them. And just the other day, Libra's (my favourite character) new refine came out, getting me even more enthusiastic.
  15. I'm talking more about the negative connotations, like watching anime suddenly makes you a weirdo that watches hentai every day and is in a filthy room filled with anime girl figurines and posters.
  16. There as a point where I wouldn't really watch anime, I only watched a few of them throughout my years. But as of now, I have watched some here and there, and I started watching Naruto like two months ago. I feel like some people still have that stigma towards anime, and I really don't agree or relate to that anymore. I used to somewhat feel that if I said I do like anime, but it's just partly that I never grew into a habit of watching them.
  17. I wouldn't say "stellar", but Hawkeye is certainly pretty damn good in my book. If anything, I used to think he was somewhat underrated. And even though the Sain comparison isn't meant to put him down, it's just comparison to a unit who does his own strengths a lot better. Hector is a closer comparison, but he's basically a Knight with 5 Mov. and axes. If Dorcas was at least somewhat tanky, he'd be comparable to an extent. Dorcas isn't bad, he just doesn't seem to stand out or shine. I guess he can do something with a Brave Axe or Reaver, but it's very niché.
  18. I always liked Dorcas, and way before I even knew he was part of a silly meme. I just genuinely liked the character and wanted to make him good, but he doesn't really have all that much going for him. I guess he's supposed be "strong" and have a lot of HP, but it feels like he doesn't even stand out as much. Sain has as much Str, if not more (between bases + join time) and not only outclasses his movement, but even manages to double at some point. Then you have someone like Hawkeye, who's just a better version of him- in almost everything. Similiar Str, Spd, but has way better durability (can tank physical and magic attack)... and even has crit. bonus to top it off. If he at least had better durability or promotion gains (Warriors gain 0 Spd v:), he'd probably be a lot better.
