Loran isn't the most social person of the group -- Wood, on the other hand, is excitable as hell -- and it's probably hard for him to just up and accept a woman he (potentially) barely knows as his mother. There's that line about "proof". Loran doesn't actually see Miriel as his mother because she's never played that role in his life, whether due to circumstances, or choice. It's not just a desire to research stuff, but a question of breaking a huge mental block that I'm sure a lot of the kids have, but aren't necessarily showing.

I do not think that word means quite what you think it means. Unless you beat chapters without being rigid, but that sounds kinda creepy.

Not using Titania in Chapter 4 is kind of pointless, especially with the soldier hordes. Also, only Soren and Ike really have room to "grow" that early in the game, and on that particular map, so I don't get the point.

Nothing wrong with a bit of ambition. Iirc, your college application depends more on your SATs, recommendations, and essays (especially the essays). Say you were applying to the UK - a good personal statement can reduce your offer requirements significantly. In the US, I've heard of people with average scores/grades getting into great universities because they knew how to write. So, uh, learn to do that, I guess. It's a big help for college regardless. I never took APs, but I did the IB diploma, so yeah. And relax. Don't find yourself burning out too early and enjoy yourself. (Disclaimer: I'm not American, so my high school experience was pretty different from a lot of people in the thread)

Jeez, I was just pointing out that the bulk of the proofing needs to happen from Map 10 onwards. I have read the readme, and I'm aware of the issues that the patch has had over the last few years.
