  1. What Armchair General said. While a good chunk of 3H characters are certainly not any less tropey than previous titles, they have reasons for being the way they are, and development over the course of the game. I bet folks will gladly forgive Framme's fangirling about the Divine Dragon if the game explains why she thinks so highly of them, how she was raised to worship them, and maybe show she will come to respect the Alear as another person, not literal Dragon Jesus, etc.
  2. It's unfortunate that most reviewers have said the same thing about characters. I can only hope now that characters aren't too one-noted, tropey doesn't mean they don't have any complexity at least. Actually, on second thought, I'm fine with tropey characters. Except annoying tropes, since, well, they're annoying. I just hate it when supports of a character feel too samey to each other, like in Fates. It gets old real quick.
  3. Came here as soon as I saw Mika Pikazo's Vander pic. Vandad's fan, we stay winnin'!
  4. Shy and narcissistic is quite the combo to say the least. However, my interpretation is that while she's also timid, unlike Alcryst, she loves herself and is not afraid to say that to other people's face.
  5. Logically, someone has to stay back in that village to treat people, and that someone can't be a kid in training. But emotionally, yeah I want Sean in my army too.
  6. That's a British accent? I thought he just has an accent because all villagers do
  7. Oh yeah, good question. I'm interested to know if there are any natural promotion for male flyer classes if they cannot ride on Pegasi too (basically what is male's class to promote into Griffon/Wyvern Knight)
  8. I think his Bow could just come later with higher bond
  9. Thank you very much! Also, you said that you were talking to the info source, but can you tell me who they are? I can't seem to find who is providing these information
  10. Some Sync skills are not inheritable, for example Micaiah's Cleric (the skill that grant Staff usage) Anyways, does anyone know what the skill "Stalwart" does? I've seen it a lot on bosses. At first I thought it negates Break, but there's another Unbreakable skill already Well that's a lot of Sword... As expected, I guess A little disappointed that Master Lance is not localized as Meisterlanze to go with Meisterbogen I also realized it's interesting that Hortensia gets huge stat bonuses with Lucina, while Ivy only gets like Bond 1 level of bonus with Leif And Flying apparently gets type bonus for Adaptable. I wonder what it will be. Also looks like Ivy doesn't have Leif's Engage Attack, what's up with that?
  11. Speaking of weapon rank, I really hope S rank weapons are not trash this time, seeing that weapon rank is the only thing infantry units have over mounted ones (seems like mounted classes have better bases for some reason, and Chain Attack while looks cool is kinda minor). In most games, they come to late for players to have fun with them (not really a problem though, since not many units would reach S rank, and they are really useful for the time they are in), while in Fates, they are just straight up trash.
  12. Trickster with Dagger/Staff. It could be a special class this time, seeing Thief is not promotable War Master with Body Art and Sword/Lance/Axe Some kind of Armored Mage. That's the one I'm hoping for the most. Still salty about Edelgard's personal class not being able to use magic Dread Fighter with Dagger and Tome. In Awakening they can use Tome, while in Fates they swap that for shuriken. Dark Flier because I love flying mages Valkyrie - classic mounted Tome/Staff users
  13. I mean, that could just be his natural rank. That's an infantry unique class after all, gotta have something over others
  14. I want to add that seems like Staff is the exception, as in the main weapon rank can still be boosted to S if the other weapon is staff. Griffin Knight normally has A rank Sword/Lance/Axe, but in the "My First Fire Emblem" video, Chloe has S rank Lance, so I assume her natural talent in Lance can still boost it to S
  15. That's like 3-4 pre rendered cutscene for chapter 1 only. I'm positively impressed
  16. Have to agree here. While I like the magic trinity, its effect on gameplay has usually been marginal. Though I would love them to bring back Dark magic with niche effects like in Awakening. Not in any magic triangle, just a special type of tome for certain classes to use Also Armor mage is dope and should be a thing. Edelgard's personal class could have been one smh
  17. I remember there's at least one video that says he plays on hard mode, with sub 100 hit and respectable damage, so I'm not too worried about Hard difficulty at least Normal are usually tailored for first timer and casuals anyways
  18. I like Lapis's Swordmaster outfit, which doesn't seem to be inspired by Asian culture like previous games
  19. Holy shit didn't even realize it I guess adding Jean to Firene, and the nations' cast is complete Sombron is fucking ripped
  20. That could be the case, but man the male pegasus denial is stupid. I'm just gonna headcanon the reason they do that is just to prevent players from having too much fliers early game, since there's no other logical reason, even "gender-restricted class" is not valid since there's (seemingly) no male-exclusive one.
  21. Wait, where is that? Isn't it just removed from inheritance completely?
  22. Some more gameplay for anyone interested I like the female Armor boss
  23. I'm actually surprised that queen Eve actually survives the encounter with Zephia, not that she has much chance when Firene is on fire though, lol
