  1. While it makes more sense than fire types, I can't see them going out and doing that without giving rain dance a boost(though electric would work) and maybe trying to improve hail and sandstorm a bit as well. But! I could see a gen 5 poke having kyogres and groudons abilities, and if that happens, I doubt they'd boost them.
  2. To be fair, maybe they should try to give grass types a 'weather' effect of sorts. It might not be easy to think of one(either some sort of wild growth or a greenhouse sort of thing, but just to give them something to power up grass moves and change up the type matchups.
  3. 25 is a late evolution - almost all of the early catachable pokemon will see an evolution by level 20 - some will see close to two by 25. Oh, and your damage calculator is suck and fail. While I may not have a damage calculator for Gold and Silver, in this gen the match up of a maxed out Special attack Pidgeotto vs. a poor based special defense Chikorita at level 5 is *31*. I know that in gen 2, the attack was based on his attack stat and that special defense IVs were harder to come by, but when I say Geodude isn't useful in the first gym, I mean he isn't useful. I mean, you'd have to pick Chikorita, flee every battle and never catch a pokemon to even be in a position of needing Geodude.
  4. Torterra is actually sorely underrated on the right team. Sub-seed after Tyranitar sets a sandstorm ruins most, worse if stealth rock is set up. And Abomasnow is probably a product of the ability to change the weather at the end of the day. Thought grass and ice matched a bit better, but really, at the end of the day, it can slow down another teams plans. Of course, seeing as how Ice is a rather bad typing(why it's not at least resistant to certain types is beyond me, much like the rock weakness), perma-hail isn't much for support.
  5. Off the top of my head, I think it only has one weakness - a quadruple fire weakness. Maybe bugs. Really, the answer to the problem is making grass super effective vs. steel. It makes sense, and suddenly you'd see more grass type moves and grass type pokemon in the mix. Steel pokemon are almost instant OUs due to resistances anyway, so they can take a hit.
  6. While they should find ways to make the game harder(I mean, I could whip up a hard mode concept in like, 10 seconds, and there's little excuse after the Platinum Elite 4 rematches), I'll at least partake. Due to the set up of gyms, I'd probably put Cyndaquil higher. I mean, with grass type being weak to the first two gyms and fire providing, at the very least, a noteworthy advantage, it's worth noting. The first gym based pokemon you'd probably have trouble with his Milktank, and if not, then Poliwrath at gym 5. Water provides no real advantage, either, and as far as stat set ups go, all three are rather average. Geodude's use in the first and third gym doesn't quite help with such a late evolution and while it's rather easy to trade Graveler to get Golem, using trading really does make this less than worthless as a list. Rock otherwise is a terrible type, and I'm not sure using him as an HM whore really helps his usefulness.
  7. Typhlosion has Eruption, which is essentially what makes him a good lead as far as starters and fire types go. Load up Special attack and speed EVs, go the choice specs route knowing he'll either knockout the opponent's lead or die, or the choice scarf route and know he can do a lot anyway. He's NU because stealth rock exists, a move that is limits the metagame so much that I honestly think it should be banned to open things up, and probably will be banned if an Ice type or water type of spike are introduced, not that the latter makes sense. With so many pokemon forced out of the Stealth Rock focused OU, the UU has powerhouses abound that shouldn't be there. Venusaur is actually pretty meh as well when it comes down to it - It's versatile as a role filler, but doesn't really have the build outside of UU.
  8. Maybe so, but that's because half the time it's the honest answer. Like now. And yet you post a rebuttle as if you have something to lose if I'm right. As if I could be right. I'm fighting for faith in humanity. What, exactly, are you trying to accomplish?
  9. I could make many a point to disecting the rest, but you clearly are so ready to get at someone that I choose not to bother picking through the logical falacy you present there, or even here. Further, ragequit or not, that is the subject matter of the topic, not your insecurities. If your truly going to try and read what and why I act the way I do, then you should start by figuring out why I chose to wait before I read what you said and chose to post a rebuttle a day or so later.
  10. Predicting what you'll write and reading what you have written are two different things. I was doing the latter, unfortunately for this statement. And thus, I refer you back to my post.
  11. You're not quite intelligent enough to pull this off, I'm sorry. For one, the extent to which I care of this particular topic limited to critiquing the type of topic and the reasoning. I was also speaking of one mod in particular, whose ability to mod posts isn't noteworthy, not the whole board. I offered you my perspective, and you didn't understand it. And to be completely fair, if nobody means nothing to people, then why do people care Haiti was hit with an earthquake/Hurricane/Natural Disaster of the Week? Simple answer is that, for most people, it doesn't work the way you suggest.
  12. Actually, Typhlosion can produce decent effects as a lead. But yes. Meganium is pretty terrible. And the game should be harder.
  13. Not trying to provoke you. It seems odd that everyone is so on edge. Simple fact is a nobody with a title is just a nobody if the title means nothing to you. If you planned on getting banned, you're likely assuming it means more to someone higher than him, and if you don't, he can't really do much to you. So why care, if he's nobody?
  14. Willingness to do the job. Literally. Because they don't keep him around to do his job.
  15. That's essentially the equivalent to trying to teach your team to Ice Skate during the hockey game.
  16. So I'm looking at the olympics hockey scores, and women's hockey is started a few days before Men's hockey. Logically. Now, it's not that the idea of Women's hockey is funny(Is is, but), but it's almost as if the only two countries who field a team are the United States and Canada. In two games, Canada's team is 28-1 and team USA is 25-1. Now, the average score in an NHL game is 5.5. For two teams. That's how sad that is. Just goes to show you that the the Americas are better at making up events that other countries women aren't good at.
  17. I remember in my day when a topic could stay on topic for more than a page, mods didn't retire after a day, and women dropped clothes at will. But anyway, this topic is missing something.
  18. Internets, serious business, yah? Well, not really serious, but treated over the top. Maybe if these personal attacks were real, but eh.
  19. Uh, dude, I think it was pretty obvious I was referring to the evolved form, as it's the one that's been mentioned as a movie appearance. The difference between Chatot and this is, really, Flying types were one fateful programming edit away from being 'bird' type. Anyway, I still think it reminds me more of a hyena. Longer front legs, As for dual dark types: LOL what? Weavlie and Tyranitar are team staples. The reason why Dark types in general are frowned upon in team building is because of terrible stats. 2 whole pokemon in the entire type with over 100 speed. Weavile came in at probably the same time Sneasle would have been above average. 7 with over 500 total base. Drapion and Houndoom are evolutions away from being valid choices.
  20. Well a pure dark type is, at the very least, fairly boring. I'd be highly surprise if, as a movie pokemon, it evolved. I do like the design, as it reminds me slightly of a Hyena. Dislike that it's another two stager, but that's only because most dark pokemon are, barring two. The type should be expanded, because it isn't a bad type, but it just seems to be that they add this pokemon every gen - Doggy dark type that hopes for better things in a later generation. Just my take on it, though. It is the intro pokemon, so maybe they'll be generous.
  21. A bit disappointing - 5x5 picross is a terribly easy game.
  22. Beleive it or not, Pikachu doesn't even have a second official art from one game. Lucario doesn't, Marill doesn't, Lugia doesn't, etc. etc. etc. I'm sure one will probably come out more official than the other, and there's a large chance it won't come up in the game. But it's an outstanding piece of information.
  23. You don't understand the dynamic difference that is the MASCOT and the worthless intro to the fifth gen.
