  1. 135 + 73 hours put into Dragon's Dogma so far. Wut.

  2. This is such a bummer. I was hoping something would be implemented in that regard. Ah well, thanks for clearing that up, as I was curious about it myself.
  3. I dunno... Estelle got pretty sisterly with Rita over time. I think back to when Estelle was in the castle and she fell asleep on her. I thought she developed pretty solidly over the course of the game.
  4. I love them both. I actually main Pascal in Graces F. ^^ Loved every character in Vesperia with the exception of Karol and Raven. And I agree with you on Yukari. At first I thought she was going to, but she didn't. Which was refreshing. I think it's the way her and Rita both say "Let's go." that makes me smile. Yukari's personally does remind me of Rita a bit too, on top of the voice.
  5. Hey, now. Give me some credit here. D: I don't have much in the way of anime experience. I might be a little biased with Patty because I absolutely loved her fighting style. And after scouring the net for a translation of all of her additional scenes in the PS3, she reminded me a lot of Presea(Not surprising, considering they're from the same series). I found the cutscene where she discovers who she was to be very emotional, as well as heart-wrenching. Either that or the Japanese voice-acting was extremely good and/or convincing. Not to mention I found her usage of "Nanoja" at the end of every phrase to be humorous, as well as adorable. :< I don't hate Yukari. I recently got into P3P(Actually my first Persona title), and I'm actually enjoying it quite a bit. I think my favorite thing about Yukari is that she reminds me a lot of Rita from ToV(Probably because it sounds like they share the same VA, but I've been too lazy to look it up). She's not nearly as bad as the other examples I mentioned in my last post, or at least she got better pretty quick. Back on topic: I think Richt, Donny, and Brady pretty much sound like they're most likely to be scrapped by utility and fewest-turn standards.
  6. Everything about Azure completely nulls his utility as anything for me. I'd take Brady as a Hero without Lightning Speed before I'd ever think about using Azure. I think that's a testament to how serious I take character utility over likeability. My biggest complaint about Richt is that it even says in his bio, "He looks, acts and speaks like a child, but dislikes being treated as one." If you act like a bratty kid, I'm going to let you know you're acting like a bratty kid. Not too mention, I'm not a fan of "kid" characters in RPG's and the like to begin with, even though I changed my mind about Donny as well. The only exception I can really think of is Patty from Tales of Vesperia(PS3). I found her to be very humorous, and quite deep, even though she used the cheap body-stopped-aging subplot gimmick. I couldn't stand Rolf in FE:PoR and FE:RD just because of his obnoxiously short shorts. Didn't have a problem with his character at all. Just the gosh. Darn. Shorts. >< I think I'd agree with (I believe it was) Fat Bunny. It takes a lot to be a kid on the battlefield as it is, but if you're going to act like a bratty entitled kid, then I'll pass. On the whole Sumia thing... I honestly don't really mind her, or that character archetype in general. I'd take Sumia over characters like Reimi from SO4, Yukari in P3, or Cheria in ToG. I have no idea what the latter characters' archetypes would be considered(Tsundere/yandere?), but I can't stand it at all. I think after some self-evaluation of my last posts, I've pinpointed that I don't like Tsundere/yandere, kiddy kids, and perverts/womanizers. But of course, to each their own. And respectably so.
  7. Personally, I think Richt and Azure are probably the only characters I don't care much for at this point. Low-turn efficiency, optimum pairings, class options, skill sets, and other such concerns aside: I absolutely love Brady, and I'm a bit torn on Mariabel. If I find I don't like her(In the English script) when I get the game, then I will drop her in favor of Violet for my MU, and make Donny Brady's father, if not Grego or something. On that note, I also love Donny, despite having hated the looks of him when I first started looking into the game. He's adorable in his own derpy way, which makes it very hard for me to hate him. I honestly thought he was just going to be derpy in a more stupid and ignorant way. But that's probably because I'm used to being around arrogant and ignorant country bumpkins. I don't particularly feel one way or another about Nono. I don't love her, but I don't really hate her either. I do, however, adore her daughter n_n. Degel's grown on me, despite how derpy I thought she looked when I first saw her. I find her to be endearing in her own way. I find Loran to be a bit on the annoying side with the whole "I'm a silent badass but-cries-in-a-corner-because-I'm-lonely-waaaaaah". Then again that's really the only support of his I've read, so I can't say for sure if I'm not fond of him. I don't have much of an opinion on Jerome, Mark(F) or Lucina, and Wood's look kind of reminds me of Guy from Tales. Regardless of who's best at what or who's absolute crap, I'm most likely going to pair who I feel compliment each other as characters, I like, etc. All in all, I'll wait and see. But I'm pretty sure Richt and Azure definitely do not have a place in any party of mine. Ever.
  8. I see... Thanks for clearing that up. In other words... Possibly a weird time distortion-y doppelganger of Ike, or similar? Or, in FFXIII-2's terms of explanation for just about everything: "IT MUST BE A PARADOX?!" Or... He could just be a standalone character? Psh, like that would ever happen.
  9. Okay. I finally looked up OTP the other day and understand... However, I just looked up OTT and I can't find it. What does it mean? <_> On topic: I don't know much about Paris, but I'll probably just jump on the: "Yeah, Paris is probably Ike" train-wagon-yola-thing.
  10. I daresay I'm going to try this on one of my playthroughs. This could be quite fun. >:D
  11. I demand you remake it in its complete entirety in the American version. I've love to see what you came/can come up with. On topic: I see the Everyone's Room as a neat little fluff feature I will use if I remember it, but I don't plan on trying to abuse it.
  12. Oh, no worries there. Maximum rabbit is being heavily considered for at least one of my playthroughs, if not all of them. I can't decide if I want to go MUxVelvet for Chambray/Mark(F)/Velvet trio Taguel goodness(With Chambray potentially being a mage of some kind), or MUxMariabel(I'll be abandoning Mariabel afterwards) for a Mage-y trio army of MU/Mark(F)/Brady. I'm leaning more toward the former because I prefer Velvet(and Taguel/Manakete in general), but Brady is my favorite character and I would want him to have access to everything. D: Decisions, decisions. I'm not too crazy about a lot of the parent characters, so I'm still unsure of what to do. I don't care for many of the female options, especially Mariabel. But it's like CrashGordon mentioned, I'm more interested in the children characters and would like to make sure they're viable by the time I get them. Meaning I'll have to use Mariabel until I get Brady. Damnit. The irony here is that by the time I get the game, I could actually find that I like her more than I thought I would. Which I wouldn't mind at all. I like being surprised.
  13. Precisely! Given that the Taguel seem to always retain their beast attribute regardless of class, I think the same could be possible for others in games where reclassing is possible.
  14. You've got me all excited with my imagination running now. Hah. Imagine... Raven/Heron/Hawk mages. That would be a really cool idea to implement. I think it would add a lot more in the way of choice, to add classes to non-human races. Flying non-human mages(aside from dark pegasus) could add a new and refreshing alternative, among other things. And Vika would make an awesome mage, for sure. Though, at the rate that would go... Fire Emblem would become another Disgaea/Tactics game with too many choices and addition of generics. Though I've always liked generics more than main characters for some reason.
  15. Wait a minute, each MU has different supports based on the voice chosen? o.o That's news to me...
  16. I just found it humorous because I was talking about abandoning Mariabel in favor of going with Velvet, but I forgot her name. "Hi there! I know you bore my child, and we're supposed to be in love... But what's your name again?"
  17. Aw, crap. I meant Velvet. Wow, I really am a terrible person, given the context of that entire last post. xD
  18. Down with gender restrictions! My MaMu would own the dancer class. D:< Seriously, though. IS really should fix this. For those saying that having more than one dancer would break the game, here's some food for thought: Bring back a system similar to what I saw in Shadow Dragon. Put a limit on unique classes, with the game performing a check on it to prevent duplicate deployments, but make them accessible in some way or another. On topic: I did read some more of Azure's supports... He's not terrible, but I'm still not overly crazy about him. Seconded with Luchi.
  19. I know, I'm just being silly. Though, to be honest, I really can't really imagine a Marth x3/Lucina situation comfortably. :< It just seems wrong in so many ways.
  20. I considered that when I was messing with the stat calculator, but I think I'm leaving Donny paired with Nono. N_n's growths with Good Growth's are outrageous, and I want Brady to have access to every class. :3 And because I want him to have my hair color. Who does that, right? Though... I'm thinking about pairing MU with Velvet now for Chambray and a Taguel Mark(F). Taguel family trio! Not to mention I wouldn't dump Violet in a dark alleyway when her son comes from the future like I would Mariabel. I'm so evil.
  21. On the subject of Laguz, I think it's pretty cool that your Manakete and Taguel children can still reclass to other classes. I always wanted a Laguz mage in PoR and RD. Chambray's growths aren't exactly mage-friendly, but I can't wait to try it out.
