  1. Look, I'm just saying a lot of what happens in Celice's story happens as a result of Sigurd's. You wouldn't have Celice's story with Sigurd's story, cutting out one would only give you half the story. Just because Sigurd is unfortunate enough to die doesn't make him any less important than his son. All of Seisen is a two part story, and just because Celice finished the story, doesn't mean Sigurd didn't start it for him. EDIT: Also Sigurd wasn't the one who gave birth to Celice dude
  2. Yes this, this is good
  3. I don't know if that qualifies him as 'more important' though? Without Sigurd, Celice wouldn't even be alive.. In a game that splits their chapters half and half, they're both equally important to the story, so it doesn't seem fair to label one as more important than the other.
  4. Eliwood is also a main character who shares the spot with two other characters? Sigurd was the sole lord during act 1 of Seisen so he's just as entitled to a spot as Celice, and Ike is the only character in FE9/FE10 that had the Lord class soo... Just wait it out and let's see what IS throws out next, with their pattern, RvB3 had to be a female lord but Eliwood's lacking the proper parts unfortunately :T
  5. The RvB DLC set was releasing female lords, so unless they dressed up Eliwood in a ballgown I think it's obvious why he wasn't there. But I would have payed for that DLC so badly.
  6. God Lyn looks like such a badass, I love her DLC art. I was worried that if they brought her in they'd throw out her Sacaen clothing (which is pretty visually defining) but they kept it! Happy days to all. As for the whole argument over further DLC maps, I still think it'd be a flawed idea from a money standpoint to stop releasing DLC before all the lords have been brought back (especially since Eliwood and Hector aren't around? They're both pretty well known in the states) And Ike isn't around yet either, but he seems more slightly likely than Eliwood, Hector or Sigurd to show up in LvD3 But at the same time, coming up with these many maps and hiring so many outside artists for redesigns must be taxing and I wouldn't blame them for stopping after LvD3. All we can really do is wait and see what shenanigans IS tries to throw out next time I guess.
  7. Serge is a badass, if Sairi wasn't around she'd be my number 1 girl (but Soiree is awesome too)
  8. Woah man you're awesome, thanks!
  9. I'm marrying everyone at some point, this is a thing I decided (there's very few characters I don't like in this game so far, that's a new record). Though I feel awkward going after the children characters so I'll just pair them together as I get the chance over and over. But main list of sheer importance: FeMU: Sol, Krom, Gaia, Frederick M!MU: Sairi, Serge, Soiree, Mariabell My love for Sol and Sairi is ridiculous considering I haven't gotten to see much of them so far, whoops
  10. Celica's design is actually a fairly decent mash up of her old design and the Awakening style to me. I wish she didn't look so young, but that's more of the artists style so not much to do there (also lack of proper shirt? At least she's covered up). Over all this is probably my favorite of the female DLC arts though. On the subject of the other possible characters to get released though, I think there will probably be more scenario's after RvB and LvD finishes, based solely on the idea of IS still being a company. They seem to be doing well with DLC so it wouldn't make much sense to just stop making new scenario's and cutting out more well known characters? At least from a financial POV. That being said, I have no idea what they would do in terms of keeping their pattern's going and staying solid with the difficulty rises though, so maybe they will just stop there. Also like another person said, they could just go the Eltoshan route and release them in stand alone scenario's, but Eltoshan wasn't even redesigned, so who know's. At the very least, as much as it seems like there won't be anything after RvB and LvD finishes, it also seems just as likely for there to be something else just off the financial perspective. Other games will keep cranking out DLC for a long time after it's been released, so, to me at least, it wouldn't make much sense to stop now when Awakening's only been out for 2-3 months? (But I really just want to see all the Lords as DLC characters) tl;dr It's really a 50/50 shot on which path IS decides to take. They're either going to stop after LvD and RvB finishes because of how they ramped difficulty each time and they may want to stick to their patterns, or they'll keep making other scenario's because they're still a business and it wouldn't make much sense to stop now, when the game is still so new. Only time is going to tell at this point.
  11. This seems like a pretty solid idea and would require a lot of grinding yeah, but I'm just curious.. Can Sumia even marry Viole? The support section in the Awakening page isn't finished up yet, but it lists Sumia as only being able to marry five different men in total (this is including MU)? I'm curious if this is just because the page isn't finished yet or if Sumia is actually that limited compared to the other females.
  12. Canon pairings happened more in the original 5 games, with just about every lord (save Celice) having an actual canon lover, and some other characters along the way as well, so long as both characters survived I think? (Though things like Levin x Fury and Leaf x Nana were only confirmed as canon in Thracia while they were left ambiguous in Holy War I believe?) I wouldn't count anything that doesn't happen on it's own as a canon though, even if it's the only possible pairing that could happen, such is like, everything from FE9/10... Only because it also means that it won't happen if you don't put effort into it. It's implied, but FE is still ambiguous enough in nature in that aspect that you can have the game go anyway you want. FE13 is like FE4 and is gonna set up/already set up for shipping wars.
  13. Quite possibly. I only found it odd because Oscar is a fairly common name in the west, so Kevin wouldn't have been out of place with that. Oh well, he was hilarious anyways. Yeah I like Sol's name, but it just seems like it might because there's a skill of the same name in game, but maybe they won't change it after all? Only time will tell. I suppose so. I'm not saying I want it changed, I'm just thinking that her name is going to be strange as is when brought to North America, and knowing how localization works, she might be a prime candidate. Trying to think like a developer is all.
  14. Name changes are bound to happen when a game gets localized, especially with a game like Fire Emblem that has a few odd names here and there (Nn being the biggest stand out in Awakening). I imagine since they want to make this as appealing as they can to a western audience, some names are getting changed (like in all previous FE's, though some of the name changes were completely odd while the original's were normal (Kevin -> Kieran?) I definitely think Sol's name is going to be first in line to get a change, and not because is name is inherently odd, but more or less because of the skill Sol. They're probably going to want to avoid confusion there yeah... Frederick's would hopefully stay the same, just maybe it might get romanized to Frederik? A couple letter's get lost in translation. And then there's the Vake -> Wycke thing, but that wasn't started by NoA so we'll see there I suppose. I doubt I'll get upset, but I will get kind of weary if the more common names like Brady, Selena or Jerome get translated oddly. Curious to see what they do with F!Mark's name though. EDIT: I also think Tiamo's name is going to get changed somewhat, but we'll see.
  15. I know a lot of people that don't, but I wouldn't really see a problem with it.
  16. I think I would die happy. It'd be great if all classes were open to everyone, seeing male dancers and male peg knights would be fantastic. Also life needs more female axe users. I never understood why the troubadour class was female only though. It seems like the most logical class for there to be males in that's a restricted class?
  17. Brady is a priest, and Libera is a battle priest if I recall facts correctly?
  18. I don't think I could stop laughing at the awesome that would bring. If I knew how to hack at all I would go for it..
  19. If they put in a Groom class, the sheer ridiculous factor would be hilarious... Awakening really is waifu emblem, even FeMU called Libera her bride. Maybe Bride should be an everyone class instead, everyone is MU's wife, let's face it.
  20. Yeah, the dress itself I would have assumed was one of her ball gowns she wore during parties and maybe important meetings too if her class hadn't been named Bride. Eirika was very regal in my opinion, so it at least seems in character for her to wear.
  21. Haha yes, the area I grew up in in my later teen years/some early adult years was kind of like that... I think maybe only twenty girls from my graduating class weren't mothers already, but we really didn't have anything that educated... anyone on sex ed. I was definitely the odd type for not being married or having kids at my age either (I got out of there finally though). Assuming this gets ported to North America, I'm pretty sure they'd end up changing the class name, since America 'tries' to be more politically correct. Tries.. Even though her outfit will stay the same, a fair amount of people would probably not change their opinion on the game itself for it (though some of the good people of tumblr really flipped their lid to the point of not wanting to buy the game at all over DLC??? Makes no sense).
  22. I honestly can't remember if it was or not, I want to say it was, but was put back into affect or something... I'm pretty sure it's still a part of our law. Anyways. That dress is beautiful, there's no denying. Staying firm to my opinion that the art is nice, the dress is nice, the class name is unfortunate and kind of makes things weird, but the class versatility itself seems to be spot on (I'm a sucker for healing/physical weapon combo's, FE4 princesses are my second favorite units),
  23. Ah yeah, I'm in California, a state notorious for being free for all and then changing it's mind because 'THINK OF THE CHILDREN' aka parents don't ever want to talk to their children about life so let's just ban everything.
  24. It really does. I live out on the west coast so I rarely ever meet any genuinely sexist people. But I've been to the south before so I've seen how bad it can get. Some northern states are just as bad too, and I have no idea about most of the east coast because I haven't actually been over there for long.. EDIT: Oh, some of the original states on the east coast are just as bad as some southern states.
