Just got back from running errands in town so I stopped by my gamestop and ran into an old friend from high school that works there now. He also explained to me that it's only people who pre-ordered who are going to get their copies as soon as the game arrives, otherwise he said the wait for the rest of their copies is bordering towards the end of next week/the beginning of the week after that. But when he checked the system his store hadn't received any confirmation of shipment yet, so I'll probably get my copy on the 4th or 5th. I don't really mind waiting until the actual release date but all this indefinite crap is starting to agitate me beyond belief. I feel bad for anyone who's heard the 8th or later though (Just to reiterate from the last time I posted, I'm around Palmdale CA) EDIT: An interesting tidbit, the last time I physically walked into the store, the Awakening poster they had on the wall had the 4th listed as it's release date. When I came back today, they had a 'Coming Soon' sticker plastered over the release date.

22, turning 23 later in the year and no, I have no intention of ever stopping playing video games. It's a huge part of how I was raised, and it's just silly for me to give it up because people expect me to grow out of if (my dad already thinks I'm way too old, especially for a girl to be playing still which is BS) I don't doubt I won't have as much time when I'm older, since I'm already getting a little strapped for time in comparison to my teen days, but I'll keep playing when I can.

Too much crap going on personally and then this FE fiasco is draining lol Aah I see. My friend was going to be out of town when the game was released so instead of ordering it online and then it sitting at her apartment until she got back she ordered it at my local store instead. Even if it doesn't show up tomorrow it won't be a big deal for her, but it means I have to make two trips into town (I don't live in Palmdale, I live in one of the smaller outer cities that are like 10 miles away) if it's not there :/ Just don't want to waste more gas than I have to, you know?? Hopefully the bundle was just shipped with the regular games

My Gamestop in Palmdale, CA said that their systems have the release date lifted in their computers and that they've been authorized to sell theirs as soon as their shipment comes in. Unfortunately they didn't get a specific date so I was just told to call back around 1-2pm tomorrow to see if it had come in. I forgot to ask about the bundle though (picking up my friends while I'm there getting my cartridge) I really really hope they get theirs tomorrow, ugh. This week has been too much of a rollercoaster for me

Tharja continues to scare the living crap out of me.... I didn't think it was possible, but NoA made me ship Chrom x Sully even more than I already did, that localisation of their support was aaaaawesome. And Maribelle and slang holy crap I laughed so hard Derailing back into the canon comments, but I agree with shadowchaos, just because Chrom and Sumia are shown as the placeholder couple in the opener video hardly makes them canon because in game you actually CAN change who he marries... if anything it seems more realistic to consider Chrom and the Village Girl canon because it happens if you do absolutely nothing to affect it?? And that hardly makes them canon either. (This isn't the pre-6 FE's where nearly all the lords had preset love interests is what I really mean) I dunno it just seems silly to get caught up on what's 'canon' in a game where you can literally marry any character you want and affect who everyone else marries as well just by shoving them in a corner together???

It's a no from my end. I feel really uncomfortable looking at myself in a video game where I can date characters (ironically when I ported my Shepard into ME3, my friend pointed out that with the changed customization system, she was almost identical to me in appearance whoops... didn't name her after me though) I'm in the field that likes to create my OCs and use them, or just go with a completely new kind of character. It's just easier for me to immerse myself into game play that way. Also my name is lame and would make a lame character name haha

For me it really depends on what mode I'm on. For a regular normal run,+Mag or Luck and -DEF was easy to push through. Same with hard mode. However, I found that I simply couldn't keep the Avatar alive all that long in Lunatic mode without +Spd since he could get doubled by just about everything in the demo otherwise (I tended to keep him as the back pairing for Chrom but it still made me nervous) So for normal and hard: +Mag/Luck and -DEF Lunatic: +Spd, -HP The more runs I do the more I'll probably switch it around though to see what happens

Just to clear something up: Fred is totally serious until it comes to eating what most people would consider 'non-regular meat'. Like in all the pre-chapter one dialogue from the demo, when Chrom and the Avatar are eating bear meat, he refuses to eat it? He later tries it himself and ends up screaming and running away (or something to that affect) So yeah, he's overly dramatic when it comes to things that like, that's why the dialogue doesn't actually seem that out of character.

Some of my friends that have worked at gamestop told me it's really just a release thing. The company prefers to do Tuesday releases, so I think a good chunk of stores aren't getting their games shipped to them until the 4th so they can be released out on the 5th (from what I've seen it doesn't seem to be a universal thing though??) That being said, I pre-ordered my copy of Awakening back in December almost two weeks before Christmas and my store had it in their system already, but is doing the 5th release thing as well :/ so lame

Stahl all day every day for my first run as female avatar. Then probably Chrom to be a princess and Gaius because he's ridiculous (won't necessarily do all back to back) For my male avatar depending on how quickly the spotpass DLC is released, Emmeryn would be my first choice, otherwise Sully and then Say'ri

Ah, sorry for tacking on more things to what I'm doing already, but I figured I'd go ahead and do Tiamo x Libera and romantic Lucina x M! Morgan as well. Also if no one had claimed it, the friendship support between Stahl and Donnel? Checking the first post is hard on my phone so if these are claimed already, sorry!

Everything looks good! In retrospect, the only thing I need to edit out in my dialogue transcripts is all the level up dialogue and event tile stuff I had saved in the wreckage of everything else. I'll putz around on the wiki and see if I can figure it out, but if not I'll let you know when I need help! Chrom leveling up - 1 stat level Well, that was underwhelming... -- I had that written down in one of my chapter transcriptions!

Yes. Gamestop's website updated earlier today/last night saying the bundle gets the artbook too, and so did my local store when I was there yesterday (my friend has the bundle pre-ordered)

Supports I plan on hitting up in my first run: FeMU x Stahl Chrom x Sully Cherche x Lon'qu Lissa x Donnel Sumia x Frederick Maribelle x Gaia (Gaius?) These might change around, and I know I want to try out more supports, but for now these are my main focus. Also will be attaching any family supports that come off of these to my list!

I'm up for claiming different supports too, though I don't have much planned past like, three so far (FeMU/Stahl, Chrom/Sully and Cherche/Lon'qu) and then any family supports that come off those Once a separate english support thread/claim thread is up I'll post up more supports I plan on getting EDIT: If I would have scrolled down like 2 inches I would have noticed it was already up GO ME

Ooooh, thanks! I'll go through and double check the animated sequences then to make sure I got everything right.

Another update, I finished transcribing the demo's prologue and chapter 1, but they're both based on different difficulties (I did the prologue on normal and chapter 1 on hard so there's probably more dialogue somewhere in there I don't have..) The dialogue from the animated cut scenes are especially iffy, since I went by ear, and a lot of the one in chapter 1 was grunts so... I'm not exactly clear on how to edit the wiki so I'm not sure what I should do with this dialogue, but I do have it all saved.

Actually, to update on my progress, I've got over half of chapter 1 from the demo transcribed as it is, I'll go back and write out the prologue after I'm done with this one

I'll help out. I was planning on writing down any supports I got and most chapter dialogue too if that's needed. Mostly focusing on things like FeAvatar/Stahl, Chrom/Sully, etc in my first run

My plan is to show up at gamestop on the 4th as soon as I wake up and see if they're serious about me not being able to pick it up that day and having to wait until the 5th which if that is true I'll be super mad because their website has the 4th listed and so does nintendo..... but the store I have it pre-ordered at keeps saying it's the 5th so really, has anyone elses gamestop told them the 5th??

Oddly enough, while it's a social stigma to be kissing your cousin in the US (and a lot of redneck/southern jokes are based around it), it's legal in a large amount of states to marry your first cousin. IS can get away with Lucina and Wood in the port since it is a 'period piece' or however they'd consider it. It's not like a lot of medieval TV shows/movies in the US are censored for it since it was more socially acceptable to preserve blood lines. If it were a modern FE though I'm sure it'd get censored real quick. But on topic, I'm curious, did they ever put up transcripts for the rest of the Sol/FeMU supports?

Very understandable. As for Lyn getting in instead of Eliwood so far, all of RvB was releasing female DLC, so that's the easiest reason as to why Lyn got represented instead of Eliwood. I don't think it had anything to do with being any more or less important than Eliwood during Rekka? And I know it keeps getting pointed out that it doesn't seem to be likely that there will be another map but as Arch pointed out, there are still three lords left, so the numbers at least add up to do another set. I don't want to say the will release another set since they've already hit the roof with ramping up difficultly, but I wouldn't rule out the plausibility until IS says for sure there won't be anymore DLC. Plus Hector :( I want him with shiny new art

Aaah sorry, I'm not actually trying to argue that Sigurd is the main while Celice isn't. I really think they're both equally as important and neither can really be flagged as the main, but it seemed necessary to list why Sigurd is just as important as Celice.

But Sigurd does do stuff, important things to the story, we follow him through the first leg of the game, he is your lord character through the first half of the game. If Sigurd were like Elbert where you mostly only hear about his actions instead of actually following him and playing as him, then yeah, he obviously wouldn't be as important as Celice. But FE4 is a generational game that follows a father and son in equal parts, both of whom are important to the whole lore of the story is the point I and I think Westbrick are trying to make too. I don't understand what actually makes Celice more important, because he had to fight the final boss after Sigurd had been murdered? Because he actually exhibits traits that qualify him as more of a main (if so what are they)? Because the game spends more of it's story on him (which it doesn't)? I wouldn't say Celice or Sigurd is more important to the story than the other, but I seriously don't understand what would make either of them more important to the overall story than the other.

Sorry that some of us think that Sigurd and Celice are a package deal and both had equal shaping of FE4's events?
