  1. Dimitri has clear suicidal tendencies by mid-game and desires to rush imperial troops towards Edelgard. He's extremely reckless and constantly needs to be reigned in by the people around him. If he didn't have them, he'd be dead, which is exactly what happens to him when he's left alone in another route which you may or may have not played.
  2. Yes. I'm now questionning whether you paid attention when you played the Blue Lions route.
  3. Dancing battalion can affect more than one unit at a time but I feel it's better used on another unit so that two units can refresh (and this way you can even refresh your dancer).
  4. If she's on the game's last map, saved on last day of calendar, she probably doesn't have the means to do other side battles anymore. She leveled up her units oddly with level discrepencies that are higher than 10 between highest and lowest. She loves Sylvain but maybe she should have allowed other units to get some experience. That wouldn't help if she intends to throw everyone in the middle. Some weaker units will not perform well enough.
  5. End-game Dimitri is most certainly a better person than mid-game Dimitri. That said, I'm not sure remorse is enough to redeem him. He didn't only kill in self-defense and even if he did, it wouldn't explain why he seeks to do it in manners that would cause the most pain possible. Btw, I love Dimitri as a character and he and Edelgard's ending at the end of the Blue Lions route imo was the best written piece in the entire franchise.
  6. It is pretty clear that Dimitri seeks out imperial troops indiscriminately and that he seeks to kill them and do so in manners that would cause the most possible pain. Yes, he does got out of his way to kill and most certainly doesn't only do it in self-defense. He pursues a quest for vengeance. He was a straight up psychopathic murderer and acknowledges this much himself. It was enough to disgust some of his own allies, Felix particularly. He is less morally redeemable to me than Edelgard is. I'm not sure why he's getting a pass on only killing imperial troops rather than civilians considering Edelgard does too only wage war against the soldiers of the Church and Kingdom/Alliance. Why not talk about "the end justifying the means"? Wouldn't you support the overthrowing of tyrannic regimes? Most modern western civilizations have actually had this very same class revolution against the nobility system and it spawned what the western world is today.
  7. From her perspective, the benefits of her new world brings about net gains. There's a world, a current paradigm, that victimizes people and it needs to be changed and she sees no other way than to do it with war. Some sacrifices for an eventual world where less of them have to be made. For a fairer world. Overthrowing an evil system is what she sought to do and that comes with bloodshed. Dimitri needlessly killed and tortured.
  8. The problem I see with Miklan or Dedue turning into beasts is that they would need to turn to beasts and back all the time and that wouldn't make much sense.
  9. I challenge this assessment and I'm not trying to be mean but anyone with Fire Emblem mechanics experience should steamroll through Three Houses normal difficulty. I'm shocked that you're struggling but a lot of it comes under light in the manner you use Divine Pulse. My opinion is that is quite clearly the easiest game in the entire series. I remember playing this map very defensively and backing away and only leaving a single of my unit in range of a single enemy to lure one out at a time. Use the grid that shows the reach of enemies and don't put all of your squad in the middle of it. I don't think it's a good idea to try to kill as many enemies as you can from the get go. Isolate them instead.
  10. Fought a war for her ideals. Got very desperate and bitter at the end when she was losing and her dreams were being crushed. To me, she's beautifully and realistically written. Perhaps people should hate Dimitri more instead. Dude went on this crazy murder spree and tortured people. Camilla was second in CYL last year and that's after being beaten out of the top 2 in the two previous years. I understand what you mean but I expect Edegard to be first this year, by a large margin, on her first year of introduction.
  11. Edelgard may be hated by some amongst the fanbase but not "by the fanbase". I think this will be made clear when she'll dominate Heroes CYL4. I expect a complete blowout.
  12. Yeah my first run was on normal/classic difficulty and it is the one map I'd be concerned on doing again on hard/classic. There are a lot of monster enemies lurking in the fog.
  13. Yeah what happened in BL with Edelgard was a shock for me. I expected more of the same as what happened when I played Golden Deer. She is such a great character.
  14. Don't see why he'd lying to you so it must indeeed be a different Gatekeeper in post timeskip Black Eagles.
  15. Then you're not using Divine Pulse correctly. It is far from useless and in fact, it is pretty much broken. It doesn't reset the rng, the idea is that you re-organize and do things differently.
  16. Honestly, I played the entire game without noticing Lysithea had grown taller. I thought she was one of the characters that changed the least.
  17. Agreed. For them both, I would have been satisfied with even just one on-screen appearance, like what happened with Edelgard's father and Duke Aegir.
  18. Gharnef's makeover makes me believe they want to stay way clear of physically repulsive characters. I don't think we'll ever see Solon.
  19. Making all dark magic red and all light magic blue was a pretty bad idea in my opinion. Wish they went the Tellius double magic triangle route instead.
  20. I suggest developping Ashe and Catherine's support convos for more background on Lonato. Literally all we know about Acheron is : "he's a minor Lord of the Alliance".
  21. Black Eagles route, actually. Lonato has a cut scene, a character background, a story and important ties with one of the students. I don’t think that’s good enough for a GHB but he’s a much more fleshed out character than Achelon.
  22. Miklan will never make it into Heroes but rather than give him the Lance of Ruin, which should go to Sylvain alone, you could always have him transform into a beast? Cornelia and the Flame Emperor appear like prime candidates to me. These two are the only ones I believe have a chance. Thales works but the evil dark mage archetype has been largely ignored thus far in Heroes (outside Gharnef, the original) so I don't expect him to make the cut (even less of a chance for Solon).
  23. Annette and Flayn because they are adorable. Lorenz because he's a fantastic character. Manuela because she needs a man and I don't mind an untidy heavy drinker. I'll be her knight.
  24. I'm on Dimitri's route, second to last chapter and I intend to recruit the Opera battalion and understand I can just send Dorothea or Manuela there to get it (none of which I trained but I'll pick Manuela to go, as she'll at least be able to lend healing support on the way). Then I saw the church, which mentions Seth and Flayn have memories there. I hadn't heard about this one before. Do I get anything by sending any of them over there? I haven't trained them either and I don't want to pick too many units that aren't trained if there isn't anything there for me to get other than perhaps a line or two of dialogue. Is there another battalion there?
