  2. Hello. So, I was asked to post this here: What do you think about this? Nintendo has already released Wind Waker HD so it wouldn't be that odd to see other GameCube/Wii games remastered. While I'm a bit skeptical about petitions, I think it's worth trying to voice our opinions and show Nintendo what the fans want. By gathering a lot of signatures from all around the world, this could become something eventually.

  7. That's a great idea. I wanted to do that for chapter 16, when the two groups reunite. And, I also wanted two completely different maps to interact in a single chapter-- a bit tricky to hack, and it'll surely take me a lot of work and time (not that the other chapters won't require that), but for the (presumably) last chapter of v.2.0, I can go through the effort. That's something I was thinking about as well, but I'm unsure whether to include that in the main story or not. It will probably be one of the trials in the Tower of Trials. That's very interesting, thank you for the inspiration. That could very well be a trial in the ToT, where the checkpoints get randomized every time you replay the map. I think it's doable, I just need to disassemble the randomizer for the kid's dialogue in vanilla FE8 chapter 6. Though I really love Etrian Odyssey, I don't think that would work in a FE game. The other part about the reward for those who're within Area (X,Y) may be interesting, though. Also, while I know that doesn't break the game, it's still something unpleasant and glitchy, and I don't want it to be in MS at all, of course. Whose supports/relationships are you looking forward to?
  8. Yeah, that chapter uses a different script. I will do my own thing in any case, haha. I just wanted to see what people are expecting to see, and get some extra inspiration eventually. I will never do a copy/paste of someone else's idea, that's just not like me. That's not a bad concept. I like the idea of Sabotage, but it seems very frustrating to play, especially due to the FoW.
  9. ^ I've already been playing with that idea last year. I originally wanted chapter 9B to be an "infiltrate prison" chapter where the guards moved like that. However, there's something you have to consider, something that even I don't know how to fix: if in your script unit X would go to A5, then it WILL go to A5. And what if there already is a unit there? Well, you'll have two units on the same tile, thus breaking the game. As far as I know there aren't checks for whether a tile is occupied or not, and even if there was, that would mean having an absurd amount of possible routes for unit X. Scripting that would be impossible or, at least, very very obnoxious.
  10. [spoiler=The ending]Shhh Ahsley, don't tell everybody that the true protagonist of the game is the Demon King! In the end everybody dies, and Faratrass becomes a demon and lives forever in eternal darkness. Hmmm, once promoted Cattleya becomes one of the best units in the game, thanks to her access to both tomes and swords (Spellfencers will be a thing!). Also remember that Cattleya is way bulkier than your average myrmidon. I don't get why everybody thinks that Cattleya sucks. It's mainly because in the first patch it's full of enemies with high def (skeletons and knights) or with high HP and atk (bandits, zombies) and she didn't have any occasion to shine. She'll do her best in the second patch, where enemies gain lots of speed in exhange of some HP and defenses. Being able to target both Def and Res will also help Cattleya become more versatile and useful. So basically, faster units like Schwarz and Cattleya (or even Letruffe) will prove themselves worthy in v.2.0. What kinds of chapter goals would you like to see in v.2.0?
  11. Moonie was the nickname I gave to this friend of mine. I never had the chance to meet her... Using her characters and her name is some sort of tribute to her. [spoiler=Heavy spoiler, don't read unless you've beat ch.8]As I've mentioned many times, Weiss is supposed to replace Hellios gameplay-wise. So after Hellios betrays the army, you get a promotion item in ch.9, and voilà, new Titania-like character for ya. Yeah. I seriously didn't know about that until a while ago. I don't like staves-only classes tbh. I think they're boring to train, and that's why all of the healers in MS can also do something else. You will have another unit with access to Slayer anyway (even if I'm trying to limit it as much as possible, since it's a kind of OP ability!). That's... already a thing! I've already coded and implemented two Knights for ch.9B. One is a Noble Knight exclusive to Shiori's route who uses Burst Lances, the other is a Knight who uses axes and bows. Promoted!Shiori is the Dancer in this game. Instead of dancing, she Prays to share her life force with others (makes sense since you can't move anymore in that turn but others can move again).
  12. Promotion items will be a thing in v.2.0, luckily. Also because gameplay-wise, it'd suck not to have promoted units when we're already so far into the game. Ooooooh! Can be easily fixed by making a steel sword droppable by one of the cavaliers. - Hmmm... I don't know about that. It's not one of my priorities anyway. - Yup, promotion items will be a thing. - I can work on that. Yeah, we had already talked about culture in not-Magvel, Ashley... Back then, those suggestions of yours were extremely precious. I can't wait to be back and work with you again! Hope I'll find some time and motivation to work hard on the hack soon. I think that the new "Info" command will be awesome for this kind of stuff. But also having house/villages like that one you described is a good thing. About Rya... I was already planning something for her, but I didn't think about focusing on her eyes (which was merely an aesthetic thing brought by Moonie, aka the person who originally designed Rya and Phoebe several years ago). That's an idea I can work with, anyway. She already has boobs of steel, no need to... buff her more than that Yeah, that bothers me as well. Shiori's route is going to be more interesting than Fa's imo. Mainly because I'm more inspired for Shiori's route. That... I dunno. Perhaps? But Moony sounds cool. I was planning to change Moonie to Moony or Munie anyway. Which one sounds better? What characters or classes would you like to meet in v.2.0?
  13. Nope. I've only worked on Normal mode (which is already harder than your usual "Hard" mode in FE games, anyway) so Difficult mode is unbalanced. You can still play it though, most of the chapters are ok as they are. I should probably just revamp chapter 5x and chapter 7 (a bit too difficult) and chapter 8 (a bit too easy) in that mode. Yes, you'll get Fa back in Shiori's route, and you'll get Shiori back in Fa's route. Though... you may screw up things later and lose one of them... teh he... eheheheh... I said nothing! Thank you very much! :D Oh, that bug you're reporting was already listed in the "Read me" that comes in the folder. I've already fixed it btw, so it won't be a problem anymore in v.2.0. I'd be curious to know: what would you guys like to see in v.2.0?
  14. The waifu system itself isn't a problem, it's just that there are people who make it into a problem through all those waifu wars and stuff. I'm pretty sure that many people aren't against the waifuing itself, but the atmosphere that is brought in the communities with such a feature. Personally, I really liked it, I never cared much about other people's opinion on waifus, and I've genuinely fun discussing it with my friends/gf, so yeah, I'd like waifus to return. Same for the avatar, maybe being able to choose one of the two opposing factions (one seems to be more Japanese-like, the other one more Greek-like).

  17. I didn't like her characterisation, like, at all. But the battle animation intro is awesome, I love that insane look, and the battle theme is... well, outstanding in my opinion. I do still prefer Wally's though.

And I plan to de-Magvelize this hack asap, now that world map hacking is a thing... that will take at least a week of work, urgh somebody save me Also yeah, that's a thing too. I think I'll have an NPC in the postgame who sells the entries that you haven't gathered in the main story or in supports, haha. As I said, it's still a WIP, but thank you for your suggestion Ashley. That's indeed a good point.
