  1. WARNING: As with v.1.2, moving ANY unit on the map in chapter 8 caused a Game Over. This has been fixed after hours of trial & error... man, it was such a nasty bug this time. Please download the new v.1.2 that I've just uploaded in the first post if you've experienced the issue. V.1.3 will come out in the next days and will grant you access to skirmishes. By the way, I'm curious, what are you expecting from skirmish battles?

And you can also recruit Menmus in a cutscene if he survives chapter 2. So basically, if you have both Cattleya and Menmus as enemies roaming the map at the end of the chapter, you'll get both. Indeed I scripted it. Back in 2013 I didn't know how to change the basic palettes of animations, so I scripted it again with the new palette. ...Yeah, that's dumb. I just kept that animation then, and while I was at it, I created the Wonder Pupil animation. Sure, but not now. I'll let you know if I need any help. I'll do that in the next days! I plan to showcase my new promotions system anytime soon. also because I need a ton of animations Bahaha of course it was intended! And yup, you're right. Cattleya will promote into a Swordmaster or a Spellfencer. Yes, there'll be an Afa's Drop-like item later in the hack.

Andre's last promotion will be the Horsenichet Sage, and he will be able to use all kinds of magic and axes. ... Actually, I just scripted his animation wrong. I'll fix it and the other animations that need fixing soon. @Ranger Jack: As for now, no.
  5. That's nonsensical. He's supposed to be a slow unit. You're basically asking to buff Hector's speed or Lyn's strength because they aren't good enough in those stats. Menmus is strong and useful in his own way. Also, the Agile Hasta makes up for his lack of speed. Lol, good to know that. But why are you quoting GabrielKnight? He did the weapon icons. The portraits were made by Regina. Yes. That's intended. She's also bulkier than any other Myrmidon, check the growth rates of myrmidons. ;o She's slightly slower (she'll cap 20 Spd most of the times anyway) but she has bulk. And that kinda suits one of the classes she can promote into (Spellfencer).

(Also, it's strange that nobody else got the same problem so far... might it be a problem of the last patch..?) Could you please tell me what you did exactly? Did you suspend/restart the chapter? Did you use savestates? Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad you're enjoying the hack, and good luck with your project. -Yeah, the stealth mission is...kinda particular. It was an experiment, some people enjoyed it, some others not as much, but overall it seemed creative, haha. I won't make another chapter like that, I just wanted to test some events and stop the exp gain for one chapter. -I think that's subjective. A lot of people liked the story, and I like it myself. I appreciate that you think that it connects point A to point B, because it wasn't that easy to create a story like that without any contradictions of sort. I was stuck in it for quite a while... -No, don't worry, it's only that I still have to implement the supports. You can use Hellios however much you want, it's so awesome after all *wink wink* -Hm, there's a reason for that. You should finish the current patch first. ;o Also you can complete those chapters without using her much. I personally used her a lot when I balanced the chapters, so you shouldn't be too worried about the exp that she steals. DAT GARION O_O
  12. Hm, actually it doesn't. It only crashes if you try to move an unit that is *already* offscreen. Hah, I usually don't move them to negative coordinates outside the map, by the way. I suppose it also crashes if you do that.

      (wow serenes cuts my post ;w;) *I agree with some critiques (there were some that were really precious), and I defend my position against some others. I think it's just normal. I've already put a lot of thought in every single aspect of the hack after all...

      I didn't see this profile feed update. And yes I am! It's Arch's brainchild and baby though, I'm just there to help move stuff around over. :) I've learned a lot from it myself - One of the hardest parts of hacking is finding the information you need. You're probably one of the most knowledgeable FE8 hackers at the moment, so anything you want to share would be tremendously helpful!

  14. I'm glad to hear that. Thank you for your support, Siuloir. ^^ Yep. When I first made the chapter, the limit was 27 turns, and it was totally doable. Then I decided to raise it to 30. And obviously I used only Schwarz when I balanced the turn limit, since I couldn't assume that people would have recruited the other flier. So... you can beat the chapter in way less than 30 turns, especially if you have two fliers. Imo a 30 turns limit is ok. [spoiler=chapter 5]A "danger" display? What's that? I never played FE Girls... Anyway I totally agree with you on the "strategic" bit, thanks for explaining that so clearly! Yeah, what L95 said. It's better if you use a site to post your pics. and use the spoiler tags eventually, please steroidz suggested imgur, that could work. Personally, I use postimage, it's fast and you can even upload more than one pic at the same time (just use Ctrl+click when you select the images).
  15. It's a bit early for that. I'll release everyone's growths after I balance them accordingly. There are a few changes I need to make. I still don't know. I'll let you know when I create the gameplay of the chapter. As for now, I'm focusing on fixing bugs/ creating the story and dialogues / implementing the new promotions system. That never happened to me. I'm pretty sure you did something wrong there, or the emulator just went crazy. Did you suspend/resume the chapter? Did you use tons of savestates? Nobody else got that problem so I can't consider that a bug unless it gets replicated. Chapter 5 is more of a puzzle than an actual chapter, it doesn't need balancing. I also made a video tutorial just in case someone is lazy to use some brainpower to beat it-- because that's just it: you don't need to be RNG blessed to beat that chapter, all you need is logic and patience. While sometimes it might get frustrating, I think it can also be a very satisfying chapter, as many people told me. About the difficulty in chapter 6: I don't think it's *too* hard to endure the initial assault, and that's the most threatening part of the chapter too. You can restart right away if you get unlucky and/or you don't position your units carefully. It's all but impossible or excessively nasty: you have Faratrass that can 1HKO the Knights, you have the Devil Blade for Monks, or even the Agile Estoc, you have the Bonecrusher, you have the Napalm Shot (if you got it in the previous chapter). Just manage your units well, there's no enemy that can 1RKO you, I don't see a problem there. Perhaps if more people complain about that I could consider to make some changes, but as of now I think it's okay... Also: I balanced Normal to make it accessible, but not easy or forgiving. I always say that my Normal mode is harder than Awakening's Hard mode, and that's how it is supposed to be. Thank you fuzz! I'm glad you enjoyed the hack. And yes, Weiss is awesome.   18. Whoa, that speed! I'm glad you liked the hack, anyway. But... please, USE THE SPOILER TAGS in your other post! I still want to torture people a little bit and I'd prefer not to show all the recruitable units, you know Soldiers can promote into Generals or Dragoons (yeah, the same class you find in Death or Glory). And no, Faratrass will never get Anima magic. I've got something way cooler for her.

That's one of the most controversial I've created after all. ;o That dialogue plays against any enemy unit, and there's no female soldier portrait either, so I'll leave it as it is. Also I don't know how I could make Difficult Mode units gain less def/res. The stat boosts are done automatically by the game. I should use different units with different base stats in def and res and that would be... tedious to say the least. I'll balance the game accordingly someday, but unfortunately that's not a possibility. Also, do you get a better Menmus/Cattleya in Difficult mode? AHAHAH!! I can't believe someone managed to trigger that. It seems it's about time for me to fix it. Could you provide me with that save, Lindsy? I hope you haven't overwritten it yet... ugh. Thanks man!
