There is no right or wrong answer. This is really something you should have arranged with whoever you are debating with beforehand. You should discuss it with him or her and come to a consensus. Alternatively, you can evaluate both. I wouldn't recommend just dismissing the idea of not going through LM entirely, it would look bad.
