  1. Oh boy, this guy did a solo Ike Arena run (or so he claims) and got 5180 points. I knew he was OP, but this is really impressive (and probably slightly lucky) if true. And then we have the wiki claiming he's 'only' A+ tier...
  2. Depends, there are plenty of maps where at most you can have two allies adjacent and that's assuming they're lined up perfectly so that othet enemies can't hit them, which really isn't always the case. For example, the vulcano map and the castle map.

  4. Wondering what to put on B!Lucina for her B slot. I have a pretty vanilla, neutral +2 B!Lucina which will be used for buffing with Draw Back as her active and replaced Sturdy Blow with Fury 3. Now I'm wondering what to give her as a B-skill. With 40 speed, she won't double that many sword and lance units, so their respective breaker abilities could be good. Vantage and Quick Riposte are also nice alternatives or maybe even Renewal. What do you guys think?
  5. Ike is amazing and hands down the tankiest unit in the game right now. I personally run him with Aegis and Quickened Pulse paired up with an infantry user. Those consecutive 50% and 80% damage reductions are amazing. Let's see how it goes next week on a defense team paired up with a bunch of WoM users.

  7. I think Gronnraven + Triangle Adept might be better, that's what I'm using right now. If you're using a flier team that is (Fortify + Ward).
  8. I know right, but I feel it really shines on him. I would have put Shield Pulse on him aswell for the 5 damage reduction on top of the mitigation every time his special triggers, if it wasn't for the fact his B-skill is already damn good against fliers and cavalry teams.
  9. Done with B!Ike for now! It's basically vanilla B!Ike with Aegis instead of Aether and holy moly is this guy tanky as hell. I'm using him on a team with an Infantry Pulse user which makes his CD go to 0, meaning instant 50% reduction from a ranged attack and if they double, 80% reduction on their second attack while letting the CD go to 1 thanks to Ike's A-skill and weapon. My turn arrives and B!Ike attacks, and quite often kills having Threaten Defense and being +ATK, making the CD of Aegis go to zero again. I'm loving this build, I'm gonna try him in my defence team with a bunch of wings of Mercy users backing him up.

  12. Can you tell me how his A skill works with the cooldown reduction? Does he get +1 immediatly when he is engaged, but before the first actual attack? Or is it more like every time he gets attacked he gets +1 after the enemy attack, which would mean Reinhardt for example would give him +2 after the second proc of Dire Thunder? I take it it's the latter, but I'm asking just to be sure.
  13. In a way, buffing units equals the non-buffed units to be nerfed, without actually changing them.
  14. They can make units more viable by adding new skills or even new mechanics. For one, say supports will be introduced into the game and you get certain bonuses for putting a unit on the field with others they are 'close' to. Let's take Odin for example. Say he has pre-build in supports with Selena, Odin and Laslow and get's small boost to certain stats for it. If he can have better stats (or give better stats to others) from these supports, it would surely make him more popular. This way, they don't have to change the character, but still make him better.

  16. C'mon guys, don't give up! The GHB hasn't been up for even two hours yet x). I for one welcome the increasing difficulty of these GHB's, it's much more exciting and fun to try new stratetegies and learn each time and come closee to completing it than doing it in one go and go on leveling my 70th unit to level 40...
  17. Yep, I agree on the fact that it's pretty dependant on what I (will) play more. Thing is, neither will be in my arena team and both teams will be used in Arena Assault & Chain/Squad Challenges. I'm using a mage team as my arena team (S!Elise, Tharja, B!Caeda and Azura) and Ephraim will be on my second mage team (Nino, Sanaki, Linde & Ephraim). My flier team consists of Sum!Corrin, Spr!Camilla, Hinoka and Minerva, so no double brave lance, and like you, I feel brave lance does a good enough job as is (Also, I should really level Palla or Caeda...). I'm leaning towards sacrificing Roderick to Ephraim, but I'll think about it for a bit. Thanks for your help! As for Ninian, I would go for definitly go for Fury. It will probably save her from quite some double attacks that most reds will do to her without fury, doing most likely more damage towards her as they would have if she had TA. If I put in Fury in the Battle Simulator, Ninian has 35 wins and 1 loss. If I give her TA, she ends up with 19 wins and 12 losses. Granted, battle simulators are not always a good representation of a unit, but it's atleast a sign. Hmm, you might be right. Honestly, now that I think about it, I wonder what C-skills I would give the other mages if Ephraim is already handeling everyone's buffs...
  18. Hmm, question. I pulled my first Roderick today and wondered what to do with him. He's amazing skill fodder material and while it's ofcourse very dependant on my values, what would you guys consider better? Giving Rally Def/Res and Drive Def 2 to Ephraim (with mage team) or give Firesweep Lance+ to someone like Cordelia or Hinoka for Flier Emblem?
  19. Score of 4.957 puts me in rank 325. Hope this is enough to stay top 1.000, or I might need to seriously do some tests to see which of my units give the highest scores and put them in the first team.

  22. Soren has 3 less speed than Nino and they have the same ATK (both Neutral), so -SPD Nino will end up about the same as him, just with a better weapon. Sonya also has 33 ATK and 2 less speed than Nino, but she does have a pretty good personal weapon I'd say. What are Soren's and Sonya's boons and banes?
  23. Ohayo! Haven't been on here in... weeks atleast, but I was wondering about something and I could use your help :3. I recently pulled a Saber and Shield Pulse looks really interesting! I was thinking of putting it on: Bridal Charlotte/Cordelia Weapon: Brave Lance/Bow Assist: Draw Back Special: Miracle A: Life or Death B: Shield Pulse C: Open Now I was wondering, how would the interaction with Shield Pulse and Miracle be. I assume the cooldown reduction of -2 gets applied, since Miracle activates on the opponents attack. But what about the "Unit takes 5 less damage when special triggers" part? Could it be that Miracle could activate, yet could leave my unit with 2-5 health theoretically?
