  1. Yep, I've been running into both full flier and cavalry teams aswell, though I find the first easy and the latter horrifying ._.
  2. Ah, same as me then. I got 4900 exactly. Can I ask who is in your team? Still Sophia and Reinhardt?
  3. @Ice Dragon I just got curious, are you going to break the legendary 5k line this week you think?
  4. Seems easy enough for now with all my Draw Back units. Those armors can't hurt you if they can't hit you! (Distant Counter excluded)
  5. First one. Second one has more defense, but -SPD is probably gonna hurt her a lot and let her take more damage by getting doubled. Third one is +HP, I'd value the +ATK of the first one more.
  6. Hit the 4.900 mark today! New highscore, quite happy. Really not regretting pulling all my 4* Setsuna's and Robins together, they're really cracking up my score.
  7. There's still 6 days left, that's 18 battles/swords, so atleast 3 full tries if you use them everyday =3. You can do it! Ah, I think I know which map you're talking about. In general, enemies will go towards units they can one-shot or have WTA over. For example, if you had Robin on the right and Frederick on the left of the middle rock in that desert map, Eldigan would probably ride towards the left on his turn, seeing as he has advantage over Frederick while staying away from the attack and dissadvantage from Robin. The enemy Cecilia would in turn swerve to the right. I'm not 100% sure what the decisionmaking for the A.I. is in this regard, but trying to split them up like this has worked for me so far atleast.
  8. Nice job! If you run into another full cavalier team (or dragon/flier/armor for that matter), they mostly have 'hone/fortify cavalry' buffs which makes them really strong. Try to split them up if you can so they don't get all the buffs on everyone at the same time. You can do it next time! :3
  9. Don't give up! I actually wanted to compliment you on reaching 3.500 before you posted this, since I know you had some troubles. That's only 500 from the max feather output for offence points. Most people indeed run mages and dancers, the first one because they have 2-range and most units naturally have lower res. The second one to catch people offguard. It's indeed not good for units like Frederick, unless he can oneshot the mages. Still, as hard as it is, if you still have a bit of fun with it, doing 'badly' (subjective) in arena is still more profitable than not doing arena at all. Ofcourse, you play this game for fun. Partly for the game itself and probably partly to talk with the community here. If you really don't enjoy playing and mostly get frustrated/sad with it, it might be good to take a break from it. If you do though, other people will probably get more feathers and skills in the meantime, so you might wind up a bit more behind if you decide to come back. Keep the 5-stars if you can. I know the 1.000 feathers must be tempting, but their weapons and skills are worth much more most of the time for inherit skill. Lastly, only if you want to, but maybe we can look at your units and team you have and try and come up with something? No pressure, just offering.
  10. @eclipse, since when do you go under the name 'Fortuo' on FE: Heroes?

Besides doing quests & missions (in the fountain on your barracks) or linking your account to "My Nintendo", none :(.
  12. Get him a Brave Sword+ if you can. Then give him something like Death Blow and Drag Back to instantly kill someone and retreat safely. C-skill is dependant on team, as is Assist Skill. Escutcheon (sp?) for defense (procs immediatly after brave attacks incase you don't kill and Moonbow/Draconic Aura for offense are good specials.
  13. Hmm, could be. But I don't have many Klein's, while I had the option of building a 4* 40+10 Setsuna that will give me a lot of Arena points, plus she's a bonus unit for the next two weeks. With the merges, she will do more than any of my Klein's could, with 95 wins and 1 loss against the average 5*. There's so many different options in skills, merges and boons/banes of enemy units though that I generally don't like using those numbers.
  14. Hmm, which site are you checking? Or are you doing your own calculations? With your build (LoD and +1ATK seal), she'll kill one more unit (94 vs 93, difference being Abel) with +ATK. With Fury 3 she'll kill 7 more units with +ATK as opposed to +SPD. The difference is small as you said, though I'd still say +ATK is indeed better, since she'll be killing more units because of enemy merges/boons+banes/buffs and so on.
  15. Alright, I'm ready for next week, let's see if this is really as good as people praise it to be.
  16. +Attack is the best thing for Kagero, she's ridiculously good with it because of her weapon. The rest doesn't really matter. She should one-shot all commonly used mages, unless they have a effective tome against colourless and good DEF, so I'd say this is fine. For your first question, I don't really know the answer, but I'm guessing it's a combination of both your teams average level and the enemy team's average level, so that you can't get the max just by putting three low levels with one fully skill inherited lvl.40+x to just run through everything. That's just my guess, though.
  17. You 'just' need to be in atleast the top 100.000 players to rank. Before the Arena update, I think that was somewhere between 4.100 and 4.200. After the update though, it should probably be somewhat higher. The defense score is based on the highest score of an enemy team that challenged your team and lost/forfeited.
  18. Considering neutral S!Lucina and Nino and no buffs, S!Lucina has the same attack and 4 more speed on player phase. On enemy phase, Nino has 4 more attack and the same speed. I'd say it's kinda even in that regard. But when you factor in potential buffs, Nino is indeed a better unit. I'm guessing they either didn't calculate in buffs since it would show favorism (though, the game is about synergising units, so I wouldn't agree with that) or they didn't see that reason enough to bump Nino/Tharja to S+ or S!Lucina to A. I'm not sure where I would put all three of them either to be honest, what about you?
  19. They have a tier list for that though, see attached =P. Reinhardt is rated A-tier on the inheritance list btw, though I personally (and seeing the comments many others here aswell) don't agree. Hmm, Nino has a sub-par A skill while Lucina gets one of the best in Swift Sparrow. It gives Lucina the same attack and 4 more speed during attack fase. Nino does have the far better weapon though.
  20. Ah, apologies! I'm not sure why the tagging didn't go through. The game has been much easier for me than before, though that was mostly because I was running Fury units and didn't have the SP to have all skills unlocked. With the new merge system, I've unlocked all their skills and I don't run into +10 units (actually ran into Ice Dragon's team) anymore that I used to before because of Fury.
  21. Thanks @Ice Dragon, @MrSmokestack & @Korath88 for the info and explanations! I used to be able to able to get top 1.000 (Granted, with 3/4 Fury users), however this week I've been pushed out of top 5.000 already while using a fully skilled team (Nino/Eirika/SChrom/Tharja with a total of 8 merges and a deathless run. Can I assume that, if these theories are indeed correct, other people have more merge levels than me? It is strange though, since I was sure I was getting more points using Effie and Nowi instead of Nino/Tharja, though it might have been just the 'luck' of finding higher points opponents I guess.
  22. Anyone else still dissapointed with the way Arena scoring works? I like being competitive, but I don't like that you're pushed towards a direction of using armors/manaketes if you want to rank highly. I can understand that merging gives more points, it gives the incentive to spend money on the game, but you can also achieve that with hard work over time. But even if you have a +10 Nino, you might aswell have used a +2/+3/+whatever Effie/Hector to achieve the same goal. If the point of this is that they're compensating for the increased difficulty of using armors because of 1 Movement, then I'd personally prefer to crank up their stats even more to balance that if it means I could use my favorite units. What is everyone elses opinion of this? (P.S. Apologies if this was already handled earlier, I'm on not here every day anymore. If I could get a link to it, I would be very thankful =))
  23. Score: 4.754 Rank: Still waiting Won't get top 1000 with this, second time since the launch I won't get it. Kinda dissapointing, but I saw it coming. Have to say though, having used four Fury 3 users before this, things have gotten so much more easier, to the point where it's actually a lot less fun and challenging...
  24. So, summarizing what has been said here: - With a team of 4*'s you can easily go up against 5*'s if: 1. Your units have more skills equipped; 2. Your units are of a higher level; 3. Your units have a higher natural base stat total than the enemy (armors > melee infantry > ranged infantry, etc. (Not sure where precisely all other things like cavalry and healers come in)); 4. Your units have higher merge levels; 5. A combination of the above. Correct me if there's anything wrong or should be added. Now, maybe it's better to talk about how fair these things are?
  25. Tharja, Nowi and Nino are some of the best units out there. Do they have good boons/banes? If you want to build your team around them with buffs, Tharja and Nino are extremely good. I personally run a team with both, complemented by Eirika (Hone ATK on weapon and Hone SPD on C-skill) and Nowi (Threaten Res) and it's been my best team so far, with no deaths in the Arena in over dozens of matches.
