  1. oh god no here we go again D:
  2. This topic has made me realise just how big nerds we all are. No offence meant, of course. The difference between that and Albert Einstein's theory of relativity is that Einstein's theory is universally known. :P
  3. Stop exaggerating please. Sorry, one moment. Okay, ready.
  4. There are two reasons, the way I see it, that he left: #1: Yearned for adventure and seeing that Tellius was not the place for that. #2: Saw that Tellius was at relative peace and had enough good people in power as it was to overcome its troubles. It didn't need him any more.
  5. Having not looked at any information beforehand, let alone played Path of Radiance, I can safely say that I didn't. I was crapping myself every three seconds.
  6. Hope you enjoy it, it's worth the play. And don't give up with poor Edward now, the Dawn Brigade's only human at the start. The tutorial's meant to teach you to play tentatively, after all.
  7. If you train Edward, he'll be the best Trueblade in the game. Partly for his inherent ability, but also for his time to grow. By Swordmaster, unless he's been stat-screwed, he should rival Zihark. Nolan is just as viable as Boyd. Leonardo is also handy, but use him as an archer and keep him safe, not as a frontline unit. Aran is a very potent unit, as he'll max out his primary stats (strength, defence and skill) quite quickly. It goes without saying that you train Micaiah. Have her at nearly level 18 or 19 by the endgame, and fully level her to 20 within that mission. Also, give her Discipline (if you got it from the boss of 1-3) to train her weapon level. Don't use Sothe too heavily when attacking. For the first few missions you have him, unequip his weapons and have him tank/steal things, he'll get more experience that way. By 1-8 and/or the endgame is when you start using him. If Micaiah needs help and you want to leave their support, stick him by her for Guard and their bond to kick in. Believe it or not, this time is also vital for training Volug. Don't have him hog everyone's experience, but let him level up his Strike level - which, in a laguz' case, will increase his attack and hit power. Laura's not just your only healer, she's a good unit. If you make her a Saint early via Master Seal, start chucking about Ellight. Jill's very handy too - try using her even in the missions where she has a movement penalty, she's worth it.
  8. I was just about to do this one. :o Geoffrey's Charge was actually one of my favourites since it actually made use of your allies.3-13, Blood Contract, was by far my favourite out of them all. The outmatched Dawn Brigade trying to hold out against the horde that is the Apostle's army, with freakin' laguz everywhere. Outnumbered, wounded and surrounded, the attack's being led by Ike himself. Every time this mission is played it's numbingly desperate to simply prepare for the battle. I make it a goal to take down Ike whenever I play it, no matter how difficult it may be. Just...so much fun.
  9. I'm pretty sure 'Soron' is meant to be 'Soren'. So no, don't vote for him.Part of me wants to lean to Edward for a laidback wisdom he shows in his info conversations.
  10. I only wish I could be as surprised as you were, having missed out that nice little secret the first time. :( Those Pegasus Knights popping out of nowhere in Raise the Standard and attacking us. DX The Black Knight. THE BLACK KNIGHT. Many moments where I made moves that I thought were safe for weaker characters, only to see them get killed.
  11. Always completing 3-13 by defeating Ike and as many of the mercenaries as I can. Simply because I sympathised/favoured the Dawn Brigade and wanted to play as them in the endgame instead; it could have been done! :(
  12. Actually Edward is way more proficient in Strength and Defence than Zihark when he OH DEAR GOD NO NOT ANOTHER TRUEBLADE DEBATE DXI honestly prefer the Dawn Brigade over the mercenaries. The mercenaries have an easy ride, to the extent that their levels are too high for their opponents for most of them to get good experience from. I'm not sure if everyone actually abuses the Jeigans in their second run after knowing how few levels the Dawn Brigade have to catch up, or if they do give them an honest level up and then compare them to the other teams in the game. Though going through their missions again, I find that they're actually a lot easier than the first time. I'm not just talking experience on how to handle the units as my strategy is unchanged, but in that they are generally much easier and less stressful to handle (which is a bit of a shame, since the stress factor helped make them great IMO). But it's actually easy to overlook the massive amount of experience the Dawn Brigade can get in their chapters; never mind the ones with paragon, everyone (besides Micaiah, who in my experience cruises through part 4 before the endgame) can gain a good few easy levels in them; if you're only training a select few, then it's even easier to get them to catch up to the mercenaries. At least, in my experience.
  13. There was one other, who knew that Bilbo had the ring...
  14. There is always someone more mentally messed up than you. Fandoms are living proof. DX- If Micaiah has an A-Support with Ike, she's unlocked in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
  15. No, I used her in 4-2. And she wasn't too bad, either.
  16. *Facepalm* A nice idea for a thread, even if not presented in the most eloquent manner. - Mist joins Ike on his travels if they share an A-Support. - Shinon, if he shares an A-Support with Rolf, sticks with Rolf until Rolf becomes a master. Afterwards, he opens an academy to pass his skills onto another generation. - Mia finds her arch-rival and duels him/her. Both are silent about the outcome and never see each other again. - Edward chooses to remain a commoner despite Micaiah's wishes, but also visits the keep to proclaim good news. As well as that, he keeps in contact with whomever he had a support with.
  17. I always recruit both. Zihark because I can, and Jill so I can level her up independently of the others and get her support with Haar on time. But really, in retrospect I recruit them for two main reasons: #1: Let the Dawn Brigade get more experience #2: Make their missions more difficult/awesome.
  18. So I'm currently on a Fire Emblem high and decided to do what I usually do; talk about it with other people. Not much to say other than I'm a gamer who first came into the series through Radiant Dawn, having heard of it first through Super Smash Brothers (surprise surprise). I'm interested in getting Shadow Dragon, except when I looked around the stores (I'm in Ireland by the way) on its release day, there weren't any copies; there still aren't today. :( Other than that, I've been browsing the site and thought I'd say hi. How are you all?
