I guess this is more of a physical game question, but I bought the gamestop deal where you get Conquest and Birthright with one being a digital download code. If I redeem it will I have to download all of birthright? And will conquest recognize that I own it already?

What's the best secondary class? I was thinking either ninja, or maybe cavalier so you can keep your sword rank.

Crimson you deserved so much more. From the games at least, her comics are pretty fun, but the same. I really wish her dragon could be covered in gems though, that'd be amazing.

Oboro's art was great, but her comics were just meh. I guess it's cause her character doesn't have an easily exploitable joke to make.

Most people don't seem to use him. Mostly because at that point you'll have other better people. But that 5 free hit is pretty useful if you got unlucky with other units, so he could definitely fill in, but he's not an the greatest include like other units.

Has anyone translated Cyrus/Oboro yet? It's weird to me how this is like the only Cyrus support people didn't do.

I think S ranks are fine, since lots of games before this one basically have them, but the system needs to change. Characters need less S supports and more opposite gender friend ship supports. If everyone only had like 3 romantic supports I think it'd be a much better system overall. But children are worthless. Unless they are a part of the game, like FE4 or Awakening, they should not be there. The excuse in If is awful, and they're just thrust into the game. As for class restrictions, who cares? Having more options for characters is interesting, and it opens up the possibility of buff females like Rinka, and who can say no to that?

Does anyone know if we have any pictures of the kamuisexual hair colors? I'm curious what they look like on Kanna.

I think the avatar actually can promote to either Dark Blood or White Blood in Invisible Kingdom. So you can switch inbetween the two if you want.

I forgot that the asset wasn't HP, with HP as an asset you actually only have -5% luck and -5% defense growths, giving 1.9 less luck and 3 less defense on average, in which case a dracoshield would put you on par about, just a bit less, and your HP growth of 60 and 3 extra HP points should more than make up for the 1 to 3 points of defense lost.

Caps aren't relevant however for the base game. If we're talking about optimizing for like PVP or something than +spd/-def easily win since defense is completely useless in a PVP situation. +4 speed means you can double more units, and it allows you to make a +11 speed Kanna to double every unit, sans the +7 Midorikos or the +11 Kannas. Defense, resistance, and luck are all useless end game stats. Since, for PVP at least, if you get hit you're dead. Honestly Defense is probably the best flaw in this game. Defense gives the lowest negative growth modifier with -5 to luck and resistance and only -10 to defense. And it is only -1 defense from your base stats. One Dracoshield will cover your defense completely and end up giving you the same defense you would have otherwise gotten if you had a neutral defense nature.

But with a strength, hp, or skill asset you only lose 5% growth, which is on average 2 points lost when going to 20/20, 3 counting the one from the lower base stat. 3 points is possibly going to save you from being two shot, but its really not that much of a loss. Besides you could always feed yourself dracoshields and then you'll be equal with the average.

From what I've done, it's definitely +HP/-Def. This gives only -5 to your defense growth, and that is it. It also gives you one less defense at the start, but 3 more HP, so it more than balances out.

I'm thinking of going +Hp/-Def, for growths they basically balance each other out, so you get at base, 60/45/30/40/45/40/30/25, which with Nohr Prince gives 75/60/40/50/55/50/40/30. This gives you one of the best Hp and Defense growths on Hoshido. Silas has 10 more defense growth, but 25 less HP growth. Rinkah gets 25 more defense growth, but 35 less HP growth, and not to mention her other stats. It also only gives you -1 defense at the start which isn't really that hurtful when you get 3 free HP, which at base, puts you equal with Silas, close to Felicia and Joker when they join in CH 16, and most of Hoshido's cast and most have more a lot of levels on you and worse HP growth. It's not as useful on Nohr it seems though, since you have more tanky characters on Nohr than you do on Hoshido, so something like +Spd/-Luck would probably be more useful.

God the FE4 fighters and their stupid crab scuttle. It's why Johan>Johalva. Could I see that redesign of Charlotte? Since her bottom half is pretty distracting. Overall there are some super weird design choices in this game, hopefully they decide that in the next game the fan-service doesn't need to be on every single character. Like those with super heavy armor. It's especially distracting when someone like Oboro is really well designed, but doesn't have anything that is instantly fanservicy about her.

One note, when Finn's paired up his inventory is effectively lost. Since no child in gen 2 can inherit his inventory, so make sure to sell everything he has, except for rings you may want to pass down.

Certain characters have something called Holy Blood. Basically blood that gives them the ability to use special weapons and better growths. Some characters get the major version which provides double the bonuses. So Sigurd for example, has major Blado blood, giving him a boost to Hp, Strength, Skill, and Luck. Just press A or R to go to the Holy Blood screen. Other things to note, weapons don't really break, since they can be repaired for a very small price. Characters each have their own gold pool which can only be shared with their lover, and thieves can give their gold to anyone for 10 exp. There is also no trading, the only way to trade is to sell things to the pawn shop and then buy it back for twice the price. So if a boss has a ring for example you should kill them with the person you want to get it. There are no Jaegans in FE4, Sigurd and Cuan have better growths than Ardan, Alec, and Noish, and they are promoted, but that doesn't hurt them either. So feel free to use Sigurd as much as you want. Cuan should be used a bit less so, since him, his wife, and Finn will leave you after ch 3. Other than that you should be fine, there are some secret events, pretty much just two in the first generation that are worth getting, but everything else is explained. Listen to the houses, they actually provide good info sometimes.

FE4 is probably my favorite of the two, since I love the map sizes, and the overall story is really good. But Thracia is also amazing in terms of actual map design and it's story too. It shows how shitty living in the empire is, and you really feel how overpowered the enemy is, but at the same time someone like Sety shows how powerful a crusader is. That and it's dripping with detail, like how Leaf promotes to Prince, the class he starts as in FE4. That's just such a nice touch. Though Master Knight Leaf would have been welcomed. So basically both are too good. I kind of hope they remake FE4 and FE5 and smooth out some of the details, but leave in the incest. Cause remember incest is wincest
