  1. Even if I were willing to, I can’t use the money power if there aren’t any Book 3 (?) Fliers in focuses (that I don’t have already). Re. Azura: Oh, yeah. I think I did that for the Marth battle. It was really funny. I think I needed it on one of the LHBs in the last batch as well...Eirika, iirc. That map is evil. Welcome to the club ;) .
  2. tbh I shouldn’t be talking because Caeda’s stuck at +4. I’m exactly 40 flowers off, which is kind of annoying. If only I’d cared enough about the hot spring Fliers to actually pull for one. I don’t think she does lose the one-round Desperation, though? With 13 self-damage, she can have up to 52 HP and still be fine. She only gets up to 50 with +10 merges, +10 flowers, & Summoner Support. So unless you were going to give her a hot Squad Ace F... I was actually talking about Celica in the LHB paragraph, because she puts herself in WoM range through the power of self-inflicted pain. Now I wonder if I could do those LHB runs with Lilina. I have no Special Spiral fodder though. Which is the other cool thing about Celica, come to think of it. Give her Fury, Desperation, and a small collection of 4* Specials, and she’s good to go.
  3. Nice! Maybe someday I’ll pull a Greil and do the same (minus the Summoner Support). I dislike that I can’t Dragonflower mine past +5 without killing her one-round Desperation. Dragon Fang is the truth. On the LHB note, I think there’s something to be said for a unit that can literally wander around the map nuking whatever, wherever, because her dancer entourage is a hop, skip, and a flap away at all times after 2 fights.
  4. When you tried that, did you have him attack the Green Tome Cav? Did he have Atk Smoke equipped? If both of those are yes, I see no reason the manakete should have KO’d him. It would have 51 Atk (48 base, +10 from Atk Tactic & Sturdy Blow, -7 from Atk Smoke), which doesn’t OHKO 42 HP/26 Res, and Gjoll prevents the follow up attack. From there, a +6 buff, Attack +1 seal, and Moonbow should ensure that Hrid gets the KO.
  5. I’m safe in T25, so I spent today’s matches lazily throwing out moves. The first two were total flops that finished the remainder of my ladder charges. On the third, I made a wild guess that the Bolt Trap in front of the enemy Duma was fake, and Caeda Galeforced through him, took out the Ophelia behind him, and narrowly wiped the rest of the team on the EP with 3 HP to spare. I kinda want to see that person’s face if/when they watch the replay.
  6. @mampfoid Continuing our discussion from last time, I’m paying the price for not actually reading those patch notes: I didn’t realize that coloring the asset & flaw was a settings option. Now I feel silly. Those will start showing as of next video. Anyway, the one-turn. 3-mov Caeda is fun. I forgot that deploying her alongside Azura during Water season gives her +3 HP. When I first tried, she received the Atk Tactic buff and the whole strat flopped because copying that buff to Def gave her enough to not take 50% from the Sword Armor, even with Life and Death. I guess if she had really needed the Atk buff, I could have just removed Prayer Wheel. This has to be some kind of personal record for number of times in a row I got to deploy Caeda and Marth in a Hero Battle one-turn.
  7. @mampfoid May? What is this may business? It’s about time Congrats! Even I haven’t given her R Duel Flying. Of course, I’ve never pulled a Laegjarn, so that’s definitely part of the reason why...
  8. My team had no Flaws I wasn’t really thinking about it. I honestly don’t use the feature that much anywhere at all. I know what my units have (well...most of the ones I actually use, anyway), and don’t really care about what the enemy units have, since it’s unnecessary for determining whether my unit can deal with the enemy unit. I’ll have to think over how valuable I think the information is before I decide whether or not to start doing it.
  9. @mampfoid Putting that Darting Blow seal to work, I see. Nice job on the clear! When was the last time Roy showed up? I’m getting the feeling that it’s been a while, for some reason. My attempt:
  10. @Landmaster Nice job on that clear! Alm really got around that map, what with all those positioning skills. I forget...is Valm’s Castle the same as Rigel’s? Either way, nice themed team.
  11. My favorite is definitely fliers. I really like the freedom of movement, and something about flying has always interested me. It helps that I have a lot of them built up. My least favorite is probably mixed teams with only one or two armors. If I’m going to run armors, I’d like to have three, or even all four, team members be armored, purely for ease of use.
  12. The Celica & Refreshers clear. A rare case where Blazing Thunder is useful. I guess, given the map layout, that’s not too surprising.
  13. Celica & Co. deal with Abyssal. Unfortunately, Ninian wasn’t working out. Too many things coming in from all directions. There may be a “just don’t kill X” strategy that I didn’t discover, but eventually I just decided to go with Legendary Azura.
  14. What I really want to know is, who decided to throw that Blárserpent Flier in there. I do not like them. Duma is one tough cookie.
  15. @mampfoid Nice use of Gerome, and fitting use of Alm as well! Tibarn will probably not get Galeforce immediately, but I wouldn’t rule it out. He really came in handy here, with the unit deployment arrangement and his terrible Res.
  16. @mampfoid On my way out the door, so I’ll watch/comment later. For now, here’s my attempt. Effective damage is fun.
  17. @Landmaster Nice job on your clear there, maneuvering around in those tight quarters! @mampfoid Minerva’s back from her long vacation. Fortunately she was able to put together enough Spd to double Nephenee.
  18. I’ll group them by game, following the order I played them. I’ll keep a running total of in/not in after each. So, roughly 70%, which is decent.
  19. Noontime Nailah is so much fun to use in this mode. I maybe should’ve handed out free defense wins, but I’ve waited so long to actually be able to have fun with these battles, I couldn’t help myself.
  20. Thanks to a lucky dodge on defense yesterday, a full 320 lift from today’s fights landed me at 11160, so I’m safe in T21. Such a relief. Thank goodness for the update (for the umpteenth time). Super Robin, Legendary Azura, and 70 Aether/day were absolute game-changers. I guess I’ll make my defense map free for what little remains of the season.
  21. Thunderous Shout 3: Deafens opponents, and makes the ground quake (or Pegasi jitter) just enough to throw off enemy dancers’ rhythm.
  22. @SatsumaFSoysoy Ew, Regular Naga. Nice work! Always great to see a Julia kick enemies around. Nice use of Azura as well, she’s a LOT of fun. I also like how you said to watch out for Aerobatics in your Strategy post, then took complete advantage of it in your clear. @Anacybele Congrats on your first recording, & nice work on the clear! I was a little concerned when the Manakete attacked Frederick...then I noticed that his Ignis was charged. @mampfoid Nice job, I especially liked the positioning of Lucina for Wings of Mercy in two different places. As for my attempt: In a sick twist of fate, Naesala betrays himself. And throws in a little shade, for good measure.
  23. Adjusted the write-up, thanks! I was wondering about that wording, but got conflicting messages about it in the General thread (and I went with the Divine Naga refinement, myself). I guess it’s not a huge deal, her Res is pretty solid anyway.
  24. @mampfoid Galeforce inherit restriction list doesn’t include the new beast weapon types. The transformation restriction will be annoying on maps where your units are next to each other (i.e. most of them), though. Either way, I finally know what I’m doing with my Heroic Grails.
