  1. @SatsumaFSoysoy Congrats! Although...are you not saving for the Celica banner in a few days?
  2. @mampfoid +@Landmaster, if that’s alright with you. I admittedly got stuck after the first move for a few minutes, because I got fixated on taking out the Axe Infantry before moving on to Cynthia, and Naesala only needed 3 hits to do it.
  3. I ran a quick simulation, using the ArcticSilverFox Hard List, forced to +10 with +6 buffs to all stats (I like to run “reasonably worst-case” simulations), with Attacker Ploys on. I have no idea how you planned on building Elincia, so I just went with: Amiti (Eff), Death Blow 3, Desperation 3, Def Ploy 3, Attack +3 seal; +3 merge, +4 buffs to Atk and Spd. Starting with +HP and switching to +Res yielded the exact same win/loss/inconclusive counts for Red/Green/Colorless (some specific builds may have been shuffled around between the categories), and 1 blue changed from “inconclusive” to “loss”. The conclusion I draw is that it really doesn’t matter which one you pick. So, whichever one makes her stat line look prettier. I’m willing to vouch for Ares as a good candidate. I did some testing with him in AR a while back on an Astra week and he handled himself well (he had Velouria support for insta-Bonfire), so I plan on bringing him back next week. He should, theoretically, be even more fun with 2x Naga bonuses and the Divine Fang buff (Duma was a real pain point in my initial tests). I also basically had him carry me through the latest TT. Are you dead-set on a Red unit? Just out of curiosity.
  4. Refining Stones (for non-personal weapons) are mainly available from Arena and Arena Assault. They are also available as rank or quest rewards in other game modes: Grand Conquest rank: Some ranks award Refining Stones Tempest Trials Daily quests: 2 for the first battle during the first five days, 4 for the first battle during the second five days Voting Gauntlet quests: 10 per round from the “Win 3 battles” quest iirc, the upcoming Rokkr Sieges mode awards them at some ranks And then Divine Dew (for personal weapons) is awarded when you spend Refining Stones, with a 1:1 ratio. It is also available from: Rival Domains: 10 from Infernal difficulty Allegiance Battles: up to 20 based on battle score, once every 3 weeks (AB battle score rewards cycle through Orbs, Feathers, and Divine Dew) Forging Bonds: 5 at the 1200 Friendship mark for every unit Blessed Gardens/Grounds: 20 from some maps That’s all off the top of my head, so I may have missed some sources.
  5. I’m not sure on Elincia. One thing I’d consider as a factor for this decision, is the number of units that meet all three of: Enough Def/HP to survive two hits, but only if Def Ploy is not applied to them. Enough Atk to OHKO on the counterattack. I guess an EP unit might have a Special charged by this point. Enough Res to avoid getting hit by Def Ploy. My gut feeling is that units that satisfy #1 and #2 are unlikely to satisfy #3, but that’s not backed up by any actual matchup numbers. For Faye: definitely +Res, of those three. We actually discussed Nah a page ago, you might confer with @Landmaster for her thoughts after testing.
  6. She’s honestly pretty usable with default kit + QR seal (and an Assist). I’ve seen Steady Stance 3 mentioned as a replacement for her A Passive, so she doesn’t need to have an adjacent ally.
  7. For AR purposes, I wouldn’t forgo ranged counterattack. I’m not sure between Oracle Breath/DC vs Lightning Breath/Bonus Doubler. On one hand, she’s kinda slow and Oracle Breath would help with that. On the other, Null Follow Up exists. Lightning Breath/Bonus Doubler is great for stat stacking, but you’d need to build the team around it.
  8. The AI does not factor in Panic when determining Rally target eligibility. So, yes, a foe afflicted by Panic can be targeted for a Rally, as long as they satisfy the usual criteria. ”Test Defenses” is a good way to check small stuff like this.
  9. @NSSKG151 Congrats on your latest +10 project! Ivaldi and Gleipnir’s condition is that the opponent has full HP.
  10. I’m curious to see what Cynthia will be like. I might make her my next grail project. Even if she’s a Lance Flier. I’m not too keen on the actual banner units, myself, though Yarne looks like he’d be useful to have around.
  11. Sweet, Deirdre prevailed. Pity I had to go and forget about the VG, missing the final multiplier. Oh well.
  12. I’m so ready for the concert hall. But no Truth, Despair, and Hope... ;_; Those revival focuses are a nice touch too.
  13. @daisy jane Congrats on pulling that Caeda! +Spd is definitely workable until you get that +Atk copy. As far as Fury vs Death Blow, it looks like they’re pretty similar, performance-wise (pitting her against the red & green crowd from the ArcticSilverFox simulator’s Hard list), with Death Blow having a slight edge both in and out of Desperation range. They both look like fine options, though I’d lean towards Death Blow + Atk/Spd 2 seal. Green armors can be annoyingly bulky, and it looks like Fury barely misses a few of them. Ofc, Fury + Ploy(s) is fine too, if you like having that debuff utility.
  14. Regarding Yune’s Weapon, Chaos Named, the English text is: ”Grants Res+3. If a penalty inflicted by a skill like Panic or Threaten and/or a negative status effect (preventing counterattacks or restricting movement) is active on foe, grants Atk+6 during combat and unit makes a guaranteed follow-up attack.” I wouldn’t call stuff like Panic a debuff, but rather a status effect. I think it does a good job of specifying that both actual debuffs AND negative status effects satisfy the Atk boost & follow up condition. Edit: Panic, specifically, is actually classified by the text as a penalty, with status effects being something different. My mistake. Regardless, the intent is clear: negative effects on the unit satisfy the condition.
  15. @Ice Dragon Question 1: I would personally prioritize 1) one or more of the dragons, 2) merge, and 3) Faye. I wouldn’t be keen on prioritizing Lyn because she has less opportunities to be used. I’m on the fence about Faye due to personal experience; DD4 is great for -blade tomes, but I wouldn’t take it over Steady Stance 4’s Special Charge reduction. I think that between 2x Eir, buffs, and stat stacking from her bow and seal slot (plus the relative rarity of -blade tomes compared to Special-focused threats, at least from my experience), she’s bulky enough to not need DD4. Merging is a good choice, but I think it would be easier to just use one or more of the dragons, who are merged already and don’t depend on the beast transformation mechanic. Question 2: I legitimately have no idea on this one, because I prefer my Player Phase units to avoid enemy follow-ups by KOing them before it happens (good point on using it to bump up the bulk of a unit that might otherwise get OHKO’d, though). I also agree with all of the points you’ve made thus far regarding Alm. I feel that Sturdy Impact is more impactful useful in enemy hands than the player’s, but that’s probably just my play style talking. Maybe some physically bulky Galeforce users without Desperation would be able to benefit from it, if you’re into that. Especially the ones that don’t, or shouldn’t, have “Accelerates Special trigger” on their weapon, like Ephraim: Legendary Lord. Question 3: I’d lean toward one of the offenses. She should be fine for the biggest threat, Azura: Vallite Songstress, if you give her HP boosting skills. I believe that with a refined weapon and Mythic bonuses on top of their passive slots, Ninian and Sylvia can hit HP thresholds that +HP Fjorm can’t break without Summoner Support, and I think their threat level is lower enough than Azura’s that you can afford to let that go. As far as +Atk vs +Spd, I want to say that I lean +Spd, but I don’t have any evidence to back it. Question 4: I lean +Atk for Naga. This is mostly because she has good Spd already, and a built-in way to stack it even higher. Her Atk could use the help; 33/36 offenses looks a lot better to me than 30/39. Atk is also marginally better for effective damage, which would come in handy for AA on Astra weeks, if that’s a use case you care about. Total side note, I’ve been contemplating saving orbs to +10 Naga on her next appearance in August, because 1) AR, 2) Tiki is also reappearing then, and 3) she’s available for 50% of Arena seasons, and Divine Fang would be a nice support skill for a bonus unit.
  16. @daisy jane Congrats on making T21!
  17. Didn’t choose my tag list/10. Feel free to keep me on there, just be aware that I might respond late, or not at all. Congrats on clearing out the battle! I like how Ike was just minding his own business down in the corner for most of it...and how the Lance Dragon got immediately gunned down by a flying Seashell after finally getting the chance to fight him.
  18. Heck of a map to start doing that. Nice job! Ares & Nowi’s bulk surprised me at times (like when Ares ate a hit from the Blarserpent Flier of death). And I guess that even dragon goddesses aren’t safe from being pelted by small wooden buckets!
  19. Yeah, I was surprised too. Usually that stops working after Infernal, but I suppose when the conditions are just right... Celica runs are always worth recording. Also, I had the same experience...I use the Celica team to clear out Infernal and unlock Abyssal, and this time around it actually took me longer to do that than figure out the one-turn =P . I’m envious of how easily she dealt with that Blarserpent Flier. Sorcery Blade requires her to be next to a Tome user, which would have to be Ninian (or Azura, on the runs where I use her instead). That’s not very likely, she goes off on her own more often than not. It also cuts her offenses...and requires Ylgr, who I’ve never bothered to pull.
  20. @mampfoid I was wondering what you were going to do with Cordelia all the way in the corner. I forgot the Sword Cav was such a slowpoke (and didn’t notice Cherche was Desperation until I saw the “x4” during the battle). Nice work! ~ This map gave Celica & company a run for their money, but in the end they triumphed. I think I’ve moved on from hating Lance Dragons to hating Blarserpent Pegasus riders.
  21. @mampfoid Fight fire with fire, as they say. I had a few attempts with Iceberg on Caeda before I remembered that she was fighting Cavalry...
  22. Not gonna lie, this sounds like the reason for half of my promotion projects. Congrats on your two latest +10s!
  23. @mampfoid The fact that Roy was able to dismantle the Lance Cav was quite impressive, nice work! That Lance Dragon is quite tough. Luckily, I’ve got just the thing... @Landmaster Nice work on your clear as well! Leif gave those Sword users a run for their money, but they pulled through in the end. After I saw the Fury setup on Raven at the beginning, I thought that it would be a great place for Wings of Mercy...but of course edgelords know no mercy. Smite was the only way.
  24. Yes. I find that you really want to be applying Isolation to the Assist user in most cases. I did have an AR battle where I used it to block a unit from receiving Restore+, but that’s the only time I’ve applied it to the intended Assist target.
  25. It definitely does prevent rallies. I just triple-checked against a friend’s map with a Rally Trap. Two questions: Who did you apply Isolation to? Isolation is just like any other debuff; if the afflicted unit performs an action (like moving), it will go away. What Rally was it? Isolation prevents the afflicted unit from using or being targeted by assists, and won’t necessarily prevent them from being affected by assists. Rally Up(+) users can circumvent Isolation on their intended target by simply targeting someone else within 2 spaces of the afflicted unit.
