  1. That's pretty much the only one. Anaheim, Nashville, Columbus (though they're pretty far down), Phoenix, and to a lesser extent, Minnesota?

  2. ..... Why is it that nearly all of the teams I hope make the playoffs that have a shot now are the lower end of the West?

  3. Would love to if possible. Even if you had the consoles and such, though, couldn't do it now, I don't have Xbox Live. D:

  4. Reminds me of my favorite Ducks moment this season, with Cam Fowler driving Getzlaf and Selanne to the home opener with a chauffeur cap on.

    ...

Except Bobby Ryan scoring with Mikko Koivu's stick. After Koivu pulled Ryan's stick from his hands.

  5. That's true. Having the 4th most powerplay goals helps too.

  6. Of course, Selanne himself may be done (By the way, all the retirement rumors about him for the last couple years, he's always joked with the media that he himself never said he was going to). If the near-nil chance that they win the Cup this year, I can't see Selanne sticking around.

  7. Gretzky said himself that the Selanne-Kariya duo was superior to himself and Kurri in their prime. Too bad with Selanne's leg problems and Kariya getting his head bashed time and time again.

  8. What's really too bad is Kariya being out with concussion symptoms before the start of the season; there was talk, and not just rumors, that he would sign with the Ducks for cheap and play with them as well. Selanne-Koivu-Kariya? Sounds good to me.

  9. Ellis has been decent for them, surprising it may seem.

Teemu deserves another shot. One of the best goal scorers to ever play. He's still at more than a point-per-game rate.

  10. How about we just stick with lolRangers?

Ducks and Kings need to make it to the playoffs both for the first year, as well, and play each other.

  11. Rangers yes (lolAvery, lolBoogaard) and I don't care one way or another with the Canes. Go Buffalo.

  12. It'd be crazy. I'd be all for it... if I didn't really dislike New Jersey already.

They're a step above Detroit and Philly... and that's about it.

  13. That'd be a nice one too. Ahh, Thorton...

One way or another, though, I do want to see Tampa, Nashville (if they make it), Columbus (same), and all the Pacific teams do well in the playoffs.

  14. Both of them worry me; that's the one match-up for the finals that I would hate, and it seems increasingly likely.

Now, Phoenix - Tampa would be an interesting one... Although Canada would boycott it.

  15. I can't do anything but view Howard as the new Osgood; a serviceable starter/very decent backup, who only does well do to his team being amazing.

  16. Only a matter of time before he takes his fellow Czech Hasek's route and runs to Detroit to win a Cup.

  17. The sad fact is, Vokoun's only had two shots at the playoffs: The first, (8th seeded) Nashville lost in 6 games to the Red Wings; Vokoun had a shutout, with 41 shots against, I believe. The second, a 5 game loss to San Jose, in which he routinely faced almost 40 shots a game.

  18. While it's true that he hasn't won anything spectacular, that has a bit to do with the teams he's played for, I think; Nashville during his time was decent, but not great, and the Panthers... yeah, no need to say a word.

  19. I wasn't hoping for more than a second rounder myself, but you'd think that, you know, being 4th on total regular season SV% of active goalies, when there are plenty of playoff teams with terrible goaltenders, would get something more than that.

  20. So apparently the only offer Florida got for Vokoun at the trade deadline was NYR's 4th round pick.

Somehow, I don't blame the Panthers for not taking it.

  21. Watch the Lighting. :D

  22. I expect no less from you.

But baaah. I'm torn. I really hate tanking, but it's the smart thing to do!

  23. Canes being outplayed, but no luck.

    Yes, I went there.
