Hibari
Let's face it, we've all have one or two series were embarrassed about be it that you were mislead by the promos and artwork only to die a little inside each time you turn a page or watch a scene eventually dragging your hollow shell to the final episode under the delusion that the ending will somehow atone for 25+ episodes or multiple chapters of utter shit that you've been hauling your empty vessel through for the past few months but ultimately leaving you to take several hot tear-filled showers as if your horrible tale of rape was just aired on the 11 o'clock news, or the kind that you initially looked into out of sheer boredom because no one was around and all your guild buddies were out and as you've already learned solo grinding sucks ass. But it turns out that despite the fact that the series practically personifies everything you curse to gain frostbite in the lower levels of Hell along with all who enjoy it you couldn't help but actually enjoy the series and watched it excitedly till the end or at least until someone came inside and made you x out of youtube or onemanga faster than you can say "rasengan." Making your parents wonder if you're watching porn while they're out and if you are when did they start having such catchy and varying music, not to mention laser sound effects and what looks/sounds like a final showdown in space where the characters discuss their beliefs and experiences. Anyway where was I? Ah it doesn't matter: Discuss. Edited January 9, 2009 by Hibari

Hibari
It's a common problem in my country when ppl think anime is the same with hentai and manga is the source of evil...I dont live with my parents so I dont have any problem with them. Sometime, I watch anime and forget the time but it's rarely happen. I think you missed the point somehow.
Wist
I watched the entirety of School Days, I don't know how.... I didn't enjoy it very much. I'm not sure if the gratifying ending was worth the tortuous trudge through unyielding naivety; I thoroughly disliked the characters in this story. I learned of School Days thanks to research into the "Nice boat" fad, the mystique surrounding the final episode, coupled with its origins in a visual novel, was (were?) too alluring for me not to give it a try. I forget when I watched it, but I ended up enjoying Final Approach. It's silly and childish, and I wasn't a fan of emotions being shown through exaggerated chibi sequences, but I grew to like it by the series end despite my initial disposition towards it. I wouldn't mention Final Approach if asked for a list of anime series I've watched.... I don't think this last one quite fits the criteria you're looking for as I had fair expectations for Elfen Lied, and I was quite taken by it whilst I watched it. I definitely didn't want my parents to know that I was watching it, however, considering its content and my being sixteen at the time. Altera the Hun
As far as Anime go, GantZ and Claymore were dissapointments, if only because of how drastically outclassed they were by their own mangas. Especially GantZ. Damn filler endings...
Rei Rei
Evangelion.Really, it just didn't lived up to the expectation. And most of the anime that are aired on the BR Animax.
Metal Rabbit
Bobobo The insane plot attracted me, but I just didn't feel a connection.
Kintenbo
Let's see, I almost got into Naruto, but jumped out of the trap in the nick of time. Also, I regret even enjoying the dubbed Yu-Gi-Oh. (back when I was 10 and stuff, and didn't know about what 4kids did to stuff)

Agro
I faithfully followed the dubs of Dragon Ball when they aired daily in the morning until they stopped airing. Bleh.
Kintenbo
Sailor moon i watched two or four episodes My brother used to love that show when we were 4. He'd try to make me watch it, but I couldn't understand a thing that was going on.

Also, I regret even enjoying the dubbed Yu-Gi-Oh. (back when I was 10 and stuff, and didn't know about what 4kids did to stuff) Same here...same here. I thought it was the coolest show on WB since PoKeMoN until I noticed Bandit Keith trying to stick up Pegasus with his finger. After that I went to the worst site I could go to at the time which listed scene by scene how 4Kids trampled over all of the original's dramatic scene's and character development and replaced it with...well, crap. Eltoshen
Claymore is still my favorite manga. I still keep up with Bleach and Naruto just for the >9000 factor...but...yeah. There's a lot.
Altera the Hun
Oh god, I forgot about the terrible Hellsing anime. Not the ova, mind you, I mean the Anime series. Man that was god aweful... And dubbing Seras's name as "Kitty" made it even worse. Dear lord...
The Envoy of the Beginning
BoBoBo Naruto Yu-Gi-Oh GX Dragonball GT Watched a few episodes of them (watched GT completely) and they just blew. Oh, and Pokemon after the first two seasons. I can't believe I was still addicted to the show even while it took its downward spiral. Starwolf_UK
I have a feeling i'll have a number of titles to add to this soon enough but for now... Cosplay Complex. I'd watched things like Comic Party and Doujin Work a long time ago and though this would be similar...no, its just Ecchi; my most despised genre (I'm pretty sure a few risque series of this genre lead to the popular misconception of "Anime? You mean those Japanese porn cartoons?"). There might have been other things in there but fucking Ecchi was the focus. Ouran High School Host Club. Ugh this kind of series seems to be the kind that gets the Yaoi fangirls squeeling at every simgle scene while I think "can I go home now?". I gave it 5 episodes before putting it away. "One of the best animes ever" my ass... Ranma ½: Nihao my Concubine. I walked into this knowing it was bad. Complewte disregard to the source material, bah (of course I knew what I was going in for...if I hadn't it would have been quite the shock). The Urusei Yatsura movies I've got are probably going to end up like that but at least some of them seem to be based off the manga (one of them certainly is and the others are "I remember reading some chapters that went like that"). Naruto and Mai-* are my two guilty pleasure animes. *-Hime, Otome etc...
Altera the Hun
Mai-HiME? A guilty pleasure? There's not really anything in there to be ashamed of. It's a good anime. Naruto, on the other hand, has more filler than actual show.
Metal Rabbit
Sailor Moon was a guilty pleasure for me years ago. I didn't think it was bad, although I'd never watch it nowadays.

Esau of Isaac
Ouran High School Host Club. "One of the best animes ever" my ass... Thus far Ouran High has become something I have to watch totally in private, it's that bad in terms of the yaoi-ness. But the show itself seems alright, though I've only watched the first couple episodes. Edited January 14, 2009 by Esau of Isaac
DeSu
Sailor Moon was a guilty pleasure for me years ago. I didn't think it was bad, although I'd never watch it nowadays. Same. I watched it as a small child, then thought it was stupid, then I became fascinated when puberty struck. Yeah, pretty pathetic.
