Esau of Isaac
Some of the areas and names in the game are a bit difficult to determine the pronunciation of. Which of them do you find odd? Neimi: I commonly pronounce it "Nay-mee", but I am unsure whether it should actually be "Nie-mee" Colm: I think "Cullm", however a few of my pals pronounce his name the same as the word "calm". Artur: It should be pretty easy, the same as Arthur without the "h", however that sounds a bit more awkward, so when thinking of his name, I think of it more as "Ar-toor" Innes: I think of his name as being said "Eens". Syrene: I think of her name as "S-eye-reen". Gerik: I pronounce it as "G-air-ick", the "g" said the same as the one in "gun." Ewan: I think of him as "You-win" L'Arachel: I pronounce it "Law-ruh-shell" Dozla: "Dawz-luh" Saleh: "Say-luh" Rennac: "Reh-nawk" Duessel: "Dew-suhl" Knoll: "Null" Lyon: "Lee-awn" Caellach: "Kay-lick" Riev: "Reev" Renais: "Reh-n-eye" Jehanna: "Jeh-hah-nuh" Rausten: "Row-sten" Edited March 15, 2009 by Esau of Isaac
Junkhead
The only hard name to pronounce was L'Arachel, the rest are a "piece of cake" to pronounce.
Florete
Most of those aren't confirmed, but I do remember the official english site prouncing Renais as "Re-nay" if anyone cares. And isn't Ewan, pronounced "Ee-win", an actual english name? If so, wouldn't it be pronounced that way?
Ϲharlie
The names I know for sure: Colm: col-um Artur: ar-tur Ewan: yoo-un I pronounce Lyon as "lee-own" like the French city, but there are other ways to pronounce it.
Esau of Isaac
And isn't Ewan, pronounced "Ee-win", an actual english name? If so, wouldn't it be pronounced that way? Nah, though it might be how it is pronounced elsewhere. I pronounce Lyon as "lee-own" like the French city, but there are other ways to pronounce it. Yeah. Most common among those I know seems to be the same as "lion".

If so, wouldn't it be pronounced that way? Then again, you don't pronounce Ewan McGregor "Eewin", do you? Innes: "Ins", like "ins and outs" Gerik: "Gerrik", with a heavy g as in "good". L'Arachel: Larrakell Saleh: Sallay Caellach: As I recall, there's an Arthurian character named "Caellach" whose named is pronounced "Kayleck", so that's how I say it. Celice
And isn't Ewan, pronounced "Ee-win", an actual english name? If so, wouldn't it be pronounced that way? Eh--considering his original name was Yuan--thus pronounced 'Wuan'--I would think, outside of changed conventions, it should be pronounced as closely to that as possible. 'Eee-wan' thus--in my opinion.
Deity
I really have no trouble pronouncing the names, or understanding how they should be pronounced that is. I simply read the characters and places names as they way they are written, I don't like digging in too deep when it comes to finding out exactly what a name should be pronounced like. Example: Renais>>Re-Nice. XD The Re being Re as in Red not as like redirect. ^^ Edited March 15, 2009 by Deity

VincentASM
Eh--considering his original name was Yuan--thus pronounced 'Wuan'--I would think, outside of changed conventions, it should be pronounced as closely to that as possible. 'Eee-wan' thus--in my opinion. Well, Yuan was just his name in romaji (and thus it would be pronounced similar to Yu An). I think it took a while for some people to catch on that his actual Japanese name should be Ewan (as listed in the official site).
Hatchet
What about Cormag? when i first played this game, i thought his name rhymed with with corsage.... but i figured i was just being a little too creative @_@ is it simply pronounced phonetically?
