Soul will you please stop saying "hey everybody listen to this guy!" whenever somebody backs your arguments? If you're too chicken to rely on your own words to win an argument, just say so.

Yeah, you could've just PM'd him...

Meh, I'm undecided. Warriors get Bows and Heroes get Swords. Both are good for Garcia's shitty Accuracy.

I'd say Warrior, although its only because Gerik makes the better Hero.

EDIT: Well well, Warriors have the same SPD cap as a Hero's. And a higher DEF cap and STR cap. And the same RES cap. Only thing Hero is winning in is SKL cap.

Heroes gain a +2 speed on promotion. Warriors don't. Garcia needs all the speed he can get since he's slow.

Heroes also get a C in swords. Warriors get an E in bows. And it's been argued in this game that swords > bows.

Therefore, Garcia should always go hero. Just because Gerik makes a better hero doesn't mean Garcia shouldn't be one. Saying otherwise is just stupid. >_>

And caps are the last thing you should worry about since you're not likely going to hit them at all unless you abuse.

^I'm sorry, but that answer is just wrong. 30 Magic is just overkill, 25 magic will have no problem clearing pretty much every enemy in story mode. Mageknight's key advantage is greater movement, allowing her to keep up in a mounted-dominated game. The con is nice too, there are occasionally some Swordmasters/Heroes that she can't otherwise double.

:facepalm: , that's how you make me go...why? Because you always seem to have some excuse to dislike overkilling classes.

It's not the overkill, damn it, Sage Lute also gets Light Magic(I don't mind too much about that, though).

Also, if you have the chance to get her to have more magic, then go for it, it's not what's necesary for the game or not, like sirius said once "Why do I need certain character to beat the game when I already have the necesary ones", that's just playing for winning, and that sucks.

You mean the thing that is inferior to Anima because it has less might, AND Lute doesn't get Slayer from it? And the only good thing it has is +~10 crit, which doesn't activate much and Lute still ORKOs anyway?

2. Really? Huh. But they don't get any points in Axes, but that might mean little.

3. Garcia could really go either way; Hero for more SPD for easier doubling, and Warrior for more power and axe points.

4. Yeah, I know caps mean little in a debate unless one can actually cap their stat. I'm just noting out something that I really did NOT expect.

On Warrior's side though, Garcia gets +3 DEF and +3 RES on promotion to Warrior, as well as +2 CON. Hero gets promo gains in SPD and HP, which beat Warrior's gains in those stats as well.

I also looked at average stats: Hero!Garcia reaches his STR cap of 25 at around 20/10. He'll also usually cap HP at 20/20. But lols to that. He doesn't really get near his SPD cap as Hero, despite the +2 SPD gain, and his DEF is -10 points away from the cap at 20/20. So he'll kill things a lot, and double a shitload.

But then I looked at Warrior!Garcia...

Caps his 30 STR limit at 20/18, but surpasses Hero's STR cap at 20/10. Everything else, save DEF and RES (But those are because of the higher caps.), is lower than Hero's average stats at 20/20.

Man, why are Heroes so damn good?

So? You don't need a "balance" of units. I could easily promote Forde, Kyle, Franz and Amelia to Paladin so I'd have 5, leaving Duessel (and maybe Gilliam) as the sole GK, and saying "fuck this, imma rush the map".

@BS x OxR: Well, bows have +1 Mt(Which nobody cares, not even me) it's fot their lack of 1 range attacks that, and C Rank in swords is quite good actually.

Sure, he has lower Def than Gerik, but enemies seem to make him laughable damage around 0-5 with just 12 Def my Hero!Garcia has.

As it was pretty much proven by IOS, Moulder struggles to promote in chapter 16, let alone any earlier than that. The biggest maps after that are all monster flooded. Sure, you have like 2 small maps of limited human enemies, but the rest are all monsters. >_> Chapter 18, 19, 20 are all monsters. Chapter 16? Moulder hasn't even promoted yet. Chapter 17 is the only time he's useful as a Sage, and he's at level 1.

Don't call my arguments wrong when you're just unwilling to accept your own idiocy, and claim bullshit. "Oh, by that time, we're just rushing maps so MoulderBishop's lead means nothing at all!" That's the lamest argument I've heard in a long time.

You sure taks this too seriously <_< . The topic should be done by now and you bring this up...Eltoshen said chapter Chapters 18-20 were monster flooded, but he just made a mistake on Ch19 where there are no monsters, and you just flame him with that copy/pasta I doubt anyone would read, recomendation: Do a summary, like a normal person ;) .

I conceded Bishop>Sage, but it has nothing at all to do with Late/Endgame Since his only wins there are trivial. It has to do with earlymid chapters like 11/12 [it depends on the route] And this further supports what I said. The second somebody takes the same side as you in an argument, you just post "Listen to the man he knows his shit!" no matter how inaccurate, false, or incorrect the actual argument is. Say you were to support Est in an argument for whatever stupid reason. All I would have to do is bullshit a giant paragraph about how Est can be good with all the stat boosters in the game and an early seal and you'd be approving it.

I go Sage with Lute. I had her as a Mage Knight before and she got destroyed. Odd...

Is it me, or does she have better speed as a Sage?

She does, but slightly, Sage has +4 Skill cap, +5 Mag cap, +1 Spd(Just 2 more Avo than MK), -2 Def and -3 Res.

Sage just takes advantage of her high Mag growth, MK gives her more Con so she doesn't get to slowed down by the tomes she uses :/

I tend to make her a Mage Knight. Lute has Con issues as a sage, and I personally support her with Kyle and Vanessa, who she'd struggle to keep up with as a sage (Unless I make Kyle a Great Knight, but I dislike Great Knights.)
