Thor Odinson
Boot camp. <3 I have WinXP for this 3D modeling program I use sometimes, but otherwise I'm exclusively on the mac side.
Darros
Just advice on Mist. The lock of hair going in front of her face looks like it's coming from nowhere.
Thor Odinson
Just advice on Mist. The lock of hair going in front of her face looks like it's coming from nowhere. Be more specific? Which lock of hair? Circle it on MS Paint or something. I'm more of a visual person.
Parrhesia
I assume he's talking about the lock to the right of her left (right by viewer's perspective) eye. It's not bad from my PoV, but could probably do with improvement, I guess.
Thor Odinson
Ah. I see now. Yeah, I think I'm missing about two pixels there. I'll fix it in my next update. Trying to do semi-custom battle sprites for myself is a pain when I'm trying to do it for the full Swordmaster animation >______<. At any rate, here's what the battle sprite looks like before I go on to the next n number of frames.
AstraLunaSol
Huh that isn't bad, Good luck with the frames.

Thor Odinson
Semi-custom normal personal animation. Same as a regular SM, but with armor and a cape. And a bit of a ponytail. Darros
What do you use to make .GIF's?
Thor Odinson
Photoshop. It has a nice built-in animation system, and a .gif saving thing all in one. It's awesome. <
Zak Something
Paint shop pro has one as well (at least the version I have)
Thor Odinson
How is the paint shop pro one? I dunno since I only have Photoshop. But I love the photoshop one. The Frame version anyway. Haven't figured out the timeline version yet.
Zak Something
PaintShopPro has a thing called "Animation Shop" which makes .gifs. Before that, I used something called "Photobe", which wasn't very good.
Thor Odinson
Ah. I see. Sounds pretty cool. :
El Rey León
That looks really nice, LB. How'd you make the cape? It's wonderful. Would you know how to insert it into a GBA hack? I'd be interested if you could do a custom battle sprite for Ismaire. Edited September 6, 2010 by El Rey León
Thor Odinson
I drew it on to the battle animation frame sheet in Photoshop, then copied each frame on to a different layer and then re-animated it in Photoshop. I wish I knew how to hack. ;___; I might be able to, school starts tomorrow for me, so my time will be a bit tight seeing that I still have a bajillion requests to do. It will be a fun project, though. I'll put it on my list of things to do. Or do you mean only the sprite and not the full animation? In which case it'd be a lot easier. El Rey León
If you've got too much on your plate, then don't worry. I just thought I could maybe help someone. And yeah, I meant full animation. 1-range sword, 2-range sword, and criticals. That's probably asking too much.
Thor Odinson
Well, it'd will probably take a while before I start it, but it does sound like a fun project. I love Ismaire's outfit, it's so pretty~ It will probably sometime later in the year though.
eclipse
Wow, thanks! That's quite a lot of work for a short animation! Miss Lakche is blasting off again!!!
