Seven Deadly Sins
Chapter 9: 8/67 I finally get Etzel, which means I'll finally have a healer here. Draug and Gordin fly around killing shit and being awesome, which works pretty well. Marth gets the boots, and I also manage to get Minerva and the Capricorn star. Also, Julian is a huge baller here, as he kills not one but two DracoKnights, which is pretty awesome. I give Etzel the Speedwing at the end of the chapter. It helps that because of Marth's increased RES from the Pure Water, the Shaver Mages suicide on Berserker!Gordin. I recruit Ellerean with DracoKnight!Wendell, who can stay out of range of the Shaver Mages and then just duck in via Feena dancing due to the 10 Mov of the DracoKnight class. I also don't kill any Clerics, which nets me the Silver Card. Etzel goes Sniper so that he can kill one of the Bishops, but doesn't pick up a level, luckily. P.S.: On one run, a Cleric decided to run right in the gate to Ellerean's area, completely cockblocking me. Were this Lunatic, I'd have just taken him out, but because it's Hard, I have to keep the Cleric alive. Lucky for me, this chapter is only 2 turns. I get everything in the desert too, though for some reason Draug wasn't able to nab the Lady sword, so I went and scoped it with Gordin later. Julian is capable of ORKOing the Flying Dragons with Steel, which is pretty hilarious. Works for me. I'm thinking that my Arms Scrolls will go to Julian and Jake. Jake wants C Lances so that he can go DracoKnight and kill dragons with the Dragon Pike probably, since I might want to send him General. However, I'm not exactly sure yet. Seven Deadly Sins
Chapter 13: 8/95 I go out of my way to recruit Beck, who picks up a kill on a Flying Dragon straggler, which is nice. Not sure how useful he's going to be, but I'll see what I can do with him. Weapon levels are nice, and he can probably grab some kills that have been chipped for him. Maris starts evening up on her Speed, which helps, and Julian keeps being a damn BOSS. Etzel is also making good use of his Speedwings, as he pretty much kills anything he doubles. I'm also happy to have more Spirit Dust for him, as every little bit makes him more awesome. Marth eats a Power Drop, and I'm saving my next one for Est. Kept that as SM/Berserker because they don't have enough speed as Dracoknight to kill anything. Didn't promote Norne because I wanted to give her the Elysian whip so she can have access to the Lady Sword+flight because her lance rank is going up slowly and stopping her from using silvers. Sent my foot units west, Shiida and Norne north and Rody northwest towards the boss area. Linde floated around the north-northwest area to provide healing. Killing at this point is not a problem. I had Shiida and Rody weaken the boss for Norne to kill. Both sides had an undrafted Dracoknight to help pick up treasures which I got all of. Recruited Jake and had him go to the secret shop for some anti dragon stuff. Mostly Wyrmslayers as everyone else except Navarre and Marth can double and 2HKO with decent weapons. For once he was the guy in front taking all the kills because the fliers had to kill flying dragons and protect Rickard(for map saves) and Darros. Dragons are still 2HKOing everybody except Rody and Shiida so going full speed ahead is not an option with only one healer. Overall not really a hard chapter seeing as even Marth was ORKOing dragons with a Wyrmslayer and Scorpio. Probably plan on doing something like this: 2 energy drops: Shiida and either Norne/Navarre 1 secret book: Roger for sure. 8 skill is really bad. 2 speed wings: Belf might get both if it helps him enough. Otherwise save 1 in case someone gets screwed. 1 dracoshield: Belf again because 10 base defense growth bad, 1 angelic robe: Norne and it should put her on par with Navarre and Roger on defense. Also another thing I noticed is this is where SDS passed me on turncounts. Damn you Feena. Edited March 18, 2011 by oval
eclipse
I'm gonna finish in last place. . . Chapter 1 - 7/7 Arran forgot how to dodge. Marth forgot how to double. I hope the experience the latter got will help, 'cause I'll need it. Stats later.
BigMeatyClawz
Chapter 13: 5/93 Distributed the stat boosters like I said previously except gave the Dracoshield to Roger instead of Belf and kept the extra speedwing. Another easy level where my main focus was feeding Belf some kills. Rody, Shiida and Marth go straight through the middle and kill all in sight. Navarre weakens the western enemies one at a time while healing in between with Belf getting the kills. Everyone else heads northeastish to get more exp and hit the savepoint. Linde and Shiida killed the dark mages by the wall and Navarre, Marth, Belf, and Roger took out the three starting dragons in such a way that only two of them needed healing next turn. Norne took care of the warp thief and Rody went as far north as possible and OHKO'd a dark mage. Next turn I had to kill all the thieves and make sure Marth uses his full movement towards the throne. Turn 3 was healing and positioning to weaken the dragons by the towers and getting the Starsphere and Lightsphere. After that I dealt with the reinforcements, got the Again staff and seized. Rody goes shopping and everyone else heads to Est and then around to the throne. Paladins are a big step down from Dragons so this was an easy chapter. Let both villages go because meh. Also at this point exp and stats aren't really a concern seeing as almost everyone ORKO's everything and gets 3HKO'd back at the worst. Except Linde of course who is easily 2HKO'd but she's healing 90% of the time so it doesn't matter really. Rody chased down the thief and everyone else went to the throne chugging pure water on the way. Recruited Astram on turn 2 and decided to have him go Bishop asap. After the heroes and sniper left the treasure room I warped Rickard in there and he went to work. The right side was a pita because the boss and the two swarm bishops could easily team up and kill someone so I had Macellan use the savepoint to rig some dodges. By turn 3 most of the enemies minus the mages were taken care of. Got all the useful treasure by using the thieves to to pick up the wing and bullion. Seven Deadly Sins
Chapter 15: 7/110 Woo. Nab the Dracoshield, and then Rescue Marth with Etzel. Feena helps me clear the Throne Room in one enemy phase / player phase and seize on turn 5. I get 5 treasures: the Speedwing, Large Bullion (enemy thief), Master Seal (enemy thief), Rescue Staff, and Elysian Whip. The Whip is for Est, the Rescue staff is for making Chapter 17 less stupid (seriously, putting the boss on one side of the map and the VILLAGE YOU MUST SAVE on the other side? Douches.), the Large Bullion is for cash to blow on Est's training, the Speedwing is for either Marth or Beck (seriously, Beck blows), and the enemy thief just happened to pick up the Master Seal, which I'm looking forward to selling. Est and Beck went after the Geosphere Thief, so I did remember to do that. I redid this chapter after divining my Two Turn strategy. I made do with Feena instead of a Rescue user, but that only works on H1 because a 10 mov unit can reach the Geosphere thief on turn 2. BigMeatyClawz
Chapter 18: 3/128 A pretty easy chapter especially since Rody could just fly in and Hammer enough generals on turn 1 to make survival a joke for everyone. Marth was warped to the village on turn 1 and rescued the same turn and then straight to the throne for him. Seven Deadly Sins
I'd say warping the Rescue user in order to allow them to Rescue Marth closer to the throne counts as warp-skipping, definitely. Shouldn't be legal. Edited March 22, 2011 by Seven Deadly Sins
BigMeatyClawz
Yeah I was thinking about adding something like that to the rules, but I forgot about that. Will do that now. Also means I'll have to redo chapter 18, but that's not too hard and I'll likely get 3 turns anyway so it's all good.
Seven Deadly Sins
Chapter 16 (take 2): 2/112 Adapted version of the two turn strat. Julian goes and pulls heroes for EXP and to get the Silver Axe and Sword. Maris goes and kills the Geosphere thief on turn 2, and Etzel and Beck Thief away the Rescue Staff and Big Bullion. I choose to skip the Whip, since Est doesn't really need it, and the bullion is better for training her. Feena lets me Dance Marth to the throne, which is nice.
