Look at it like this - If we have a mafia unlynchable and no vig, what happens? ;/ Unlynchable isn't THAT broken without vigs. It's like how Grandjackal hypes up armored units. Just because you can take a hit doesn't mean you'll never die. If he survives, then we can lynch him the next day. And if there IS a Vig around, it also means that the Watcher will learn the identity of the Mafia Doctor. Which is why I doubt they would protect him, so the odds of Kevin surviving are pretty slim.
