NinjaMonkey
Yes, it is... although I'm sure it is just a coincidence or something.
Book of Ereshkigal
It's pronounced Chrome, isn't it? the o in Krom is pronounced 'Oh', right?
Celice
I read it as similiar to Crumb, but not as soft in the beginning--hard, leading Kr. Similar to the post beneath this one. I didn't see the emphasis to say Kr-ooooh-muh in the kana. Krom is also used in Borderlands for one of the bosses, though I don't know its reason for it. It's a word in several European languages as well. Edited September 16, 2011 by Celice

Emperor Hardin
Krom doesn't look very interesting. I was really hoping IS would do another non-standard Lord.
Celice
What katakana is used to spell it? ãƒãƒ is commonly used in lieu of ROM. Edited September 17, 2011 by Celice
Jyosua
ãƒãƒ is commonly used in lieu of ROM. Hmm, well it could go either way, but given that クãƒãƒ means Chrome or Chromium in Japanese, and is therefore likely a loanword, I'm going to to say Chrome. Celice
http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/krom The first three are also valid loan words to take into consideration. Especially as their meaning can be attached to valid characterizations.
Naglfar
It could go either way, honestly, but I'll take an educated guess and call him Chrome.

Othin
Great, are we going to see Krom VS Chrome name arguments, too? It's a new game with new names that aren't officially translated. When aren't there arguments over names in that situation?
VincentASM
I'll just stick to Krom until IS gives us an official Japanese name to use. That's how Mikaya vs Micaiah was decided.

Yeah they usually post some form of official art or other info that verifies the romanized spelling of the name.

Celice
Except Micaiah sounds like a name Except it doesn't. Inherited linguistics are the deciding factor in what a person recognizes as "normal" spelling and "uncanny." Mikaya sounds more like a name to me than Micaiah simply because my exposure to certain language over others.
