You can make them retreat by having Byleth defeat Flayn. They will return to their life in secrecy. My Formation didn't allow for it. She got BraveLance'd by the one true Bern instead (who pretty much was Silver/Brave Lanc'ing everyone in the map).

What makes it all worse is the fact that FlaynFish was my first S-support Choice pre-time skip ;_;

• You are actually fighting for a cause, instead of literal Ganondorf. Even if the Methods are evil/villainous.
• Edel & Byleth have the will to do what needs to be done.
• Death actually happen because this is a War, you know.
• Your own units have their own personality and goals and are haredened by the war and growing and getting depressed etc.
• Enemies don't just worship the ground you walk on and want to have you back, but actually fight you to the death, even if sometimes regretably, and sometimes really angry that you betrayed them after they put their trust in you.

Byleth worshipping might be a bit much sometimes, but it isn't 1% as bad as 3/DSFE and alot of times it actualyl feels justified.

Because i would've had to reset because i had units ripe for the picking there. If Byleth defeats Flayn, he wouldn't be able to Gambit other units making them sitting duck for my weaker units. Not to mention my Byleth is squishy af himself and dies in 3 attacks.

The more i play CF, the more i realise this is what a good written conquest would've been like.

As stated, they are two of my favorite characters in the game, that's why.

It's a bit like actually fighting against the other CPUs and the Candidates because the story demands that you do it. And the scenes are milked for all the drama they're worth. It just utterly, utterly breaks you and the fights are ball-bustingly hard and then Neptune dies without a fight and the ending is f***ing sad and...

Yes, I'm STILL not over it.

In case you don't know what I'm talking about: Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 2 Conquest Route.

Granted, fighting them in Three Houses doesn't exactly move me to tears as the above example did, but it still hurts.

He started the war, sure, but he wasn't in command of it. And Crow didn't actually care who won since he had already accomplished his goal, he just thought that if Rean joined him, the war would end a lot quicker. Meanwhile Edelgard definitly cares about winning.

Crow lived in the Jurai Special Economic Zone back when it was independent territory. Crow's grandfather was manipluated by Osborne into allowing Erebonia to annex the territory and it left him with nothing and his reputation ruined. So basically, Crow wanted revenge. He wasn't concerned with the politics and the only reason he's fighting in the war in the first place is to end it quicker.

Well, killing the Chancellor/Prime Minister when you belong a certain faction would start a war regardless. He wanted Noble support + He didn'T care about casualities or anything. All that mattered is his revenge, even if he will nuke a city to do it

Well, Mission 16 wasn't as tough as I'd thought to be. Still ran out of ammo; but only when gunning down the final enemy wave. Fortunately, outside the non-target escort aircraft, they're slow-moving AWAC's and refueling planes, so I could gun them down. Too bad I couldn't get the points for the medal. Well, I did it the firs time; but I got shot down. Then crashed the next two times. Fourth time was the charm; but couldn't get the score point needed for it.

... also just did Mission 17. Chopper's death still gets me...

Well, I'm soon off to watch Rise of Skywalker.

Also, Bernie's Encloser is a life-saver ❤️. Without it Ingrid would've been a super bitch to deal with. The Bern was able to keep her in place until everyone arrived and kicked her ass xD

I kinda want to play the Knights of the Old Republic games, but i have no idea how well those have hold up from a gameplay standpoint. The Old Republic era of Star Wars is really fascinating to me because of how super disconnected it is from anything else in the Star Wars universe. There's also the MMO, Star Wars: The Old Republic which is still active but i have no desires to commit to any MMOs.

I mean, unit wise i've been praising her since early game. She's definety one of my MVPs (and get's it pretty often). Her personal is super good, and the combat arts she learns + flying means she can Snipe then Canto, or just Lance shot them with LanceFaire and Presuction Complex XD. Or Just wait for Alert stance and super high avo. 

Or you mean S-support? She isn't my first choice i tell you that XD. Even if her achivements as unit deserve that much praise and she grew on me quite alot post time skip.

Also, she's secretly a sadist or something? The Plants she likes XD

yup yup. I needed to break through their armor and stun them anyway or my units would've been deded. They even almost killed Edelgard, and in combination with Dark Mages they were super scary.
