That line between love and hate can get paper-thin between people. One day you can love a person like you've never loved anyone before, then the next day they could be the person you hate the most. Also how is observing similar reactions and activation sites in the brain when it comes to love and hate a disgrace to science? A lot of science comes from observing you know.
