Peppy
Dat Rules (borrowed/stolen from Integrity) - Ratings are assumed to be on Hard 1 Mode. - Votes need some explanation regarding their gameplay performance to be counted. If somebody else said what you want to already, quote them explicitly. +/- ≤1 point extra regarding personality/appearance is encouraged, but no more. If you exercise your bias privileges, please do so explicitly. Also, if your vote is already a 10/10 or greater than 9 and you give a full point of bias, The score may not exceed 10! - Numerical votes out of 10, or something proportional to it. Make it easy to calculate for my sake. - Every ranking phase ends from 2100 to 2200 EST. Every ranking phase starts from 2200 EST to 2300 EST. Do the math if you are in another timezone! - I will insist you do not use the "Not X" reason on any character, where X is another unit. If you do, your vote will be thrown out. - "Recruits X" or "takes you to X chapter" arguments are explicitly banned. C'mon, people, this shouldn't need to be a rule. That's not gameplay performance. - Assume that the character in question is being recruited. - Similar to the "Recruits X" rule, do not use "He Comes with a Free Ridersbane" as an argument. - Rate the character based on his/her performance without the Rainbow Potion, Maturity Drop or Bond Drop - I withhold the privilege to tell you your rating is bogus and demand you revise it if it breaks any of the above. I will not throw out votes anonymously, you will be informed and given a chance to revise. Wen Yang
6.5/10. Pretty OK if you raise him, though with the existence of the 7th platoon there's minimal incentive to raise him.
Bluedoom
8/10. He can insta ridersbane stuff, has D swords so you can reclass him to myrmidon if you want, and in general has solid growths. He and Cain are basically there if your 7th platoon guys got screwed, but at least they've got better weapon ranks to boot. xD
Colonel M
Honestly, Frey is "ehhh". Let me give you an idea here. H1 Mages have 9-10 AS in Chapter 9. DracoKnights have 13. Frey starts with 10 and a 65% Spd growth. Well, as a Cavalier. The only good news is he can swap to Myrmidon and have Steel Swords. Though, to be honest, most units past Ogma are kind of a pain to raise (even Barst is). It doesn't help when El Cinco de Mayo Troupe (Caeda, My Unit, Sirius, Palla, Catria) can fly and wreck things to shreds in this mode. Not to say that Frey is outclassed because of them or anything, but he's just on too short of a timeline with little reward. I re-question his use in H3, if only because levels on him were kind of awkward in general. 6/
Gryz
He can insta ridersbane stuff The Ridersbane isn't available before chapter 8, then the ponies go on hiatus until chapter 15. Well, I guess he can stab Beck. LOL. Frey's stats are very similar to Cain's (weapon ranks being the biggest difference). Cain has prologue 8 while Frey has 3 chapters in the main game before Cain reappears... Although it doesn't mean a whole lot since in 6 he starts faraway, 6x is short, and in 7 he is screwed by the trees. I had decent success with Cain in H1 so Frey shouldn't be a whole lot different. Eh, I guess I am feeling a 7/10 for our blue-haired sacrificial lamb.
Colonel M
Actually, Ridersbane isn't available until Chapter 14. A thief drops it. I'm also going back to questioning how good Frey can be. I just hit Chapter 11 and I see Bandits at about 13 AS and Flying Dragons have 15-16. How exactly did you guys use him (or hell even Cain)? I just got Minerva and, aside from her minor Spd flaw at the moment, she's probably going to stay in my party just because she wrecks shit. I guess to be fair, Frey has Dragon Pike to counterattack and OHKO Flying Dragons. I just wish his Spd stat was at a better start.
Gryz
Three Ridersbane can be bought in the chapter 11 secret shop. BECK MUST DIE!!! Eh, Cain/Frey may not have an incredible start, but got the potential and huge amounts of exp to gain in the midgame. Probably helps there so many other characters in this game that are quite disheartening in comparison. But hey, this is the same playthrough where I used Cord, so take it for what's it worth. Heh. Bleh.
