Baldrick
He's an awesome unit outdoors. Brave Lance and a leadership star helps him stand out of the pack, his stats are good, and he's available the whole game. He's notably less impressive indoors, though. Stats, weapon ranks, and his special weapon all desert him. O: 9/10 I: 2/10 5.5/
marcus90
7.5/10 Good unit, hindered in-door, 60 uses personal weapon that sucks cause only he can uses while there are other great units that should get it, so that's a -1 from 8.5. Promotable at level 10 because of his good stats all aound, gives bonuses to some dudes and has a leadership star.
Non-Existent Member
Bleh, I forgot to rate Leaf. Anyways, Fin gets 9.5/10 - He has nice bases, good growths rates, He comes with a Hero Lance, and with that Lance, he can capture enemies easily. Although, he can't use any Lances at late since the last 2-3 chapters are indoor maps. Slight edit; I made a typo. Renall
Lack of lances on foot is a major disappointment, especially given his Swords rank to start, and he's going to level a lot without any possibility of scroll access simply because he's so clutch early on. But on the other hand... well, he's clutch early on. Got a horse? Check. Got the Brave Lance? Check. So he's a capturing god at a time when you need to capture yourself some shit to get stocked up. Brave Lance lasts way longer than you'd figure and there is always the option to repair it. Being around a while means a chance to work that Sword rank up, although he lacks Manster presence to do it. However, he isn't invincible early on. And that's not hyperbole in this game, because in the first four chapters the actual standard is invincibility. He lacks the oomph and bulk of a prepromote unit like Eyvale and Dagda, though of course he has more long-term potential than the two of them do. Post-Manster he remains a viable and useful character but not necessarily the best one. However, he's often still worth fielding simply because of a free Leadership star. Only a handful of units contribute those and Fin is arguably the only one who can be considered good. 8/10 with a bias point because Being Fin Is Suffering for 9/10 for early bone-owning and capture badassery. If he doesn't turn out fantastic, field him for his leadership, finish out the Brave Lance, and shrug it off. He'll have more than earned his keep by then. He'd be an instant 10/10 with Lances on foot (make this happen, hackers).

dondon151
I didn't say that? you penalized him 1.5 points because "being mounted is a bad thing sometimes" so what about those other times? is it neutral relative to being unmounted? that can't possibly be the case because it's unilaterally better to be mounted outdoors than it is to be unmounted (barring the nonexistent circumstance where everything has a horseslayer). so are you going to penalize unmounted units because being unmounted is a bad thing sometimes? then, seeing as there are no units in this game who simultaneously are mounted and have no appreciable dismounting penalties, is it possible to not be penalized using your criteria?
