Possibly an anxiety disorder? A belief that they are being targeted for thinking different and, therefore, must speak out in order to try and find a support group where they can feel safe? ...I need to not read stuff while studying for a psych exam. I really do. Fans like that make me almost sad of my preferred pairings. I mean, it would be funny if I knew they weren't being serious, but they are. *sigh* My preferred pairing for Chrom IS Fem!Avatar, but I readily admit their support isn't the best and mostly like it because I just like the story better with them paired (and I prefer Chrom's other options with... well, other people). Sumia's a sweetheart, even if she does try too hard and not quite make things work. Backstabber is a little much, though. Cordelia's the one who doesn't say anything, right? Like, Cordelia never even seems to TRY, yes? Me too. Serenes is all I need. The people tend to be FAR more polite and awesome. Same here. All of the above. I'm always gonna love Chrom/Robin, but sometimes I feel so embarrassed when I see people like that. It makes me sad that they give a bad name to my OTP. Which reminds me: Can anyone tell me if I've been as obnoxious as some of these other Chrom/Avatar fans??? I really want to try and prove that not all of us shippers are as trollish and wacko as some of these unfortunate fans. If I have, please let me know! I'm an Ike fangirl that ships him with Elincia instead. Also, that not all Awakening fangirls fangirl over Chrom. I fangirl over Frederick instead. Hee hee. I'd heard that IkexElincia was "nonexistent" in it, but does Elincia actually say at all that she doesn't want him? It doesn't sound like her at all to me, whether she ever had feelings for Ike or not. I just can't see her outright saying something like that, especially to him of all people (considering how hard he fights for her and what good friends they become). Just don't feed them, or they'll waste hours of your life that you can't get back. Not the first time you've seen this in localizations. "frothy mugs of water" anyone? I doubt she flat out stated she had no romantic interest (that doesn't seem in character), but that's more likely due to the fact that, if I'm reading this correctly, she never showed much of an interest in the Japanese version, while the localization added more romantic/crush subtext. Something they didn't do in Radiant Dawn for one reason or another, leaving to a rather abrupt dropping of it in the eyes of some fans. (When, in fact, there was never much indication at all. I only saw Elincia having a crush on Ike personally, which might've been induced via him being one of the few 'constants' in a very trying time.
