Calculations for FE8 sure take longer with bigger supports (and no spoiler with all good weapons, so I have to open a lot of extra windows like I used to when we just began with PoR).

Fixed Moulder's HP - the database in the first post said he had 40 HP as Bishop and 49 as Sage, so I thought it's a typo and it's 39 average HP instead. Turns out I should've fixed Bishop's HP instead.

I'd also fixed the avo numbers for all characters before the game began (counted avo as 2xspd+1/2lck, not 2xspd+lck).

How are supports bigger in 8 rather than 9? Do you mean that they incorporate a greater variety of bonuses?

I roll them in a group (3 when attacking without a skill / after Adept/Aether/Astra, 4 when attacking with a skill), and when the attack misses I don't pay attention to either the crit or the skill proccing. It's more of a "have a look at what could've happened if you hadn't missed" thing).

Naturally high AS + max avo supports does make you really good in this meta apparently (with abundant supports and no forges). I think FE8 has certain qualities PoR lacks (or maybe we just focus on arguing about Shade too much instead of making the most out of PoR, I don't know).

Similarly, low skill + lack of hit supports means you won't have much luck connecting hits. Look at Lute trying to connect an attack on Neimi for example (who was weighed down by 4 AS no less). Crushing supports is more important here than in PoR, though I'm stating the obvious here.

And yet FE5 or TRS should have even less impact for supports.
