Nicolas
FE5!Ced is IMO most powerful of all Gotohs! He ORKO everything and I don't think that's something what can kill him.
Shauni
Because Gotoh is the progenitor of the archetype.
Original Alear
For the same reason we call Marcus a Jeigan, even though both FE6 and FE7 Marcus are superior to Jeigan. Gotoh is the first Gotoh. Additionally, I think that Gotohs are really supposed to join on the very last chapter or be the last unit to join, I might be wrong about that one though. (BTW, by Ced I assume you mean the green haired mage who wields a tome that gives huge spd and skill bonuses?) EDIT-Ninja'd. But most of Gotohs aren't really powerful in compare to trained normal units. I think only Athos is good, but only because luna. IMO in other case he doesn't help really much
Shauni
They aren't supposed to be more powerful than trained units. They're more of a safety mechanism just in case you fucked up so bad that you have no other way of completing the last chapter(s).
Roxas
Because Gotoh is the progenitor of the archetype. Exactly. I mean, Gotoh DID some first, after all. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to name it the Joshua archetype but hnng
JSND Alter Dragon Boner
Because with proper Item allocation Gotoh trivializes Final of FE1 faster than Ced can say Horsety
HK Motendra
Gotoh's actually a pretty good unit in FE11
Elieson
Gotoh came first. /thread. Next topic please
Ϲharlie
Oh dear. I hope we don't get people trying to draw a distinction between "Gotohs" and "Ceds" like they try to do with Jeigan and Oifaye.
NoNameAtAll
Yes, Ced breaks FE5 in half...on the last chapters. That doesn't really mean much. Not saying he sucks; far from it. Just that...well...characters like Orsin are actually around.
Icon of Sin
Sety's still not invincible with all the Hel mages around.
Baldrick
It should really be Gato archetype. Both Gato and Ced came before Gotoh.
Tamanoir
Galzus is actually the Gotoh in FE5, not Ced, I think.

JSND Alter Dragon Boner
There is no such thing as consistency when people did not refer to Frederick as a Jeigan
Baldrick
Only a fellow weeb would care about consistency What if I insisted on consistency in using the official names? They do actually. So they do. Well, no true Scotsman would refer to Jagen archetypes.
