Micaiah for instance is pretty much a variant of Michael. Whereas Blodwen, if I've read some name meanings correctly, is pretty reminiscent of Kanna. Ziva, if I've read some name meanings correctly (again), is basically a variant of Niamh. Some names like Nia get different meanings in multiple languages. (I laughed for 10 minutes straight once I found out his name, luckily he himself wasn't the one who told me the name). the other horrible name I heard was Bhezal. This literally means impurities (bad impurities, like stuff used food adulteration). I wonder what kind of people would name their son that.
