The problem with going based on looks alone is that the characters we've seen so far seem so overly designed. They simply have too much going on, in my opinion. One could argue that it makes sense for royals, but while I think the characters themselves look nice, the clothing and armor usually do not - the only reason I voted for Ryouma is because of his dreamy voice (the exact opposite of Sakura...I will never use her when I play through the Hoshido side of the Japanese game, or else I'll go deaf...)

On another note, I can't believe female Kamui is losing against her male counterpart. Sure, her pose looks downright painful and she bares a small portion of her thighs (I'll never get over this, it's just so stupid!), but male Kamui looks so...boring and silly. I really hope we can change his hair completely.

I know!! I'm very surprised (and happy). I thought the female version would win for sure even though I like male Kamui so much more.

Don't worry, I agree with you. I think male Kamui looks ridiculous. I find female Kamui to be WAY better-looking, despite her weird pose and two left feet.

Just imagine if his armor showed off his thighs...he'd win by a landslide because clearly, that's apparently supposed to be a sexy feature.

No, I refuse to let that go.

That's an opinion, not a fact. Don't present it as such. I'm told not to do so, so I don't want to see others do it. I think Ryouma is the hot one, not Marx.

And Marx is getting way more votes than I thought he would. I guess I can't see his appeal at all.

Goron is inferior to Marx, since he already seems like a jerk.

I like Marx's design, in fact, the only design I don't like so far is Camilla's, and that's because the fanservice with her lower half is kinda stupid. I like the design less than Tharja. THARJA. Goron's design suits him, so I don't really mind it.

But of course, I cannot help but vote for blonde Marth b/c favorite design. I hope he doesn't have a Tharja personality though.

So yeah, like Marx and all, but not swapping vote...

Max or Marx is good, but really, it's pretty much okay to use the word Marx since another VG character is named that (and didn't earn any Commie-related controversy). I honestly prefer Marx

I have to agree with Garon's design. It fits a powerful, dark, and probably obviously evil king.

The thing is, though, "Marx" sounds way cooler.

I feel like we might see them localize it to Max. Because...in the US, Marx as in Karl, is often seen as a dirty word. (because Cold War and junk) I prefer Marx, but if hes called Max in the international release, ill adjust.

I dont think too much changing of Hoshido characters' names is necessary. I do feel like Ryouma will be either Ryo or Ryu internationally, but i wouldnt be surprised if his name was left alone. I think its important Hoshido characters' names sound very Japanese. Kazahana is a bit of a mouthful though, tbh. But if i see it localized to Hannah, ill fucking facepalm.

Im curious if they will bother with Kamui's name.

He'll probably be given a fairly similar name in English though, as that's the case for a majority of FE characters. I can see him being Ryan, perhaps. Or maybe Roark. I'd love for him to have that name, as he'd share his name with one of my favorite Pokemon gym leaders. ^^

It'd be awfully weird to give him a not-Japanese name. He'd be so weird in a Japanese-type setting.
