because arden never died

I like the fan theory that Arden was originally planned to be playable in the Second Generation, but it would create so many plotholes due to him being too slow to catch up to Seliph's army.

Maybe he hid underneath Belhalla the whole time, but before he could help Seliph, well...he kinda took a nap.

He nearly made it out of the castle before the first generation ended!

Not in my headcanon he didn't. Fucker stayed in the second round of the arena where he belonged, forever.

it could've been a short nap, only by the time he woke up he couldn't catch up to the army

it's just like the tortoise and the hare fable!

except in this case it's the tortoise taking the nap
