Since I don't have enough space in the margin, I'll have to condense it: Porn - it's sex with story as an afterthought Anime - it's drawings with story as a justification, because not everyone who watches it will get off on art alone I think the porn comparison is closer to video games, where certain games (*coughStellaGlowcough*) feel like the game was made first, and the story is there to justify the game elements. Finding the plot in porn is much like imagining what the characters look like when you read a book. It's not until you really look beneath the surface, immerse yourself in it and let your mind finish the incomplete picture, forming intricate links between different flicks. The Serenes community is sure to support you on such a journey. It doesn't work if I get bored five seconds in. And that's being generous.
