Hell, Shuuda there has a 40% warn level and we haven't even considered suspending them!

I was suspended. Just to correct you that point.

1. He did good there though. He helped out. The end justifies the means. He didn't hurt anyone. Just disobeyed orders.

2. Eh. It was a bullshit counterargument to begin with. You guys are winning on that response anyway. Maybe he just thought it was funny.

3. Yeah, but they're human as well. They can make some mistakes.

4. Posting in a locked topic, and posting porn are two completely different things.

5. He got Masu and I to be like best friends again. The two of us even talked on aim together today. Two weeks ago if that happened people would be running to their bunkers. (Any gay jokes and I'll kill you.)

1.) The end does NOT justify the means. If you've seen a movie in the past 20 years, you'd know that. Modern society does not think so. I do not think so.

3.) Of course they can. Multiple offenses, though, is when it starts to get to the point where they're setting a bad example.

4.) Why? They both break the rules?

5.) By breaking the rules! The end does NOT justify the means, as stated before.

Please do not try to bring out the "Victim" card. What Jyosua means is that there are plenty of people who can do a more responsible job of moderating.

Of all the things I am, I'm not a victim here. Please stop posting in this topic if your purpose is to spite me. It really doesn't concern you.

What I meant is that everyone makes fatal mistakes. It's a bad example because neither Hanz nor Fox have done anything wrong though.

What the fuck? o_o When?

Okay, better example: Suzaku was warned at least 8 times in total before he was finally suspended. It was over a long timespan, but still.

1) Even so, that doesn't excuse Arc's actions.

2) Even so, that still directly goes against the point of the CLOSED Staff forum.

3) He made fun of Suzaku mostly, who WASN'T glad to be booted! I don't care if we all hate the kid or not, this is inexcusable on ANY decent forum.

4) He did it on purpose after I told him to stop screwing around.

5) Why keep a moderator that does bad things on top of the good, when I can have a moderator who simply does good?

Ah but I do care what the members think. However, if they base their thoughts in faulty logic, like they currently are, I can't agree with them.

1. He disobeyed an order. So what? How many movies have you seen where the hero disobeys an order in order to do what's right?

2. Is that really such a big deal? Who the hell cares? That's not something that would warrant de-modding someone. Just a "<_<"

3. He can't have an opinion on the matter?

4. That's really just who he is though.

5. Because he IS a moderator. No one else has been a moderator, so you don't really know how they'd act as one. At least with Arc you know what to expect. And all the transgressions against him are small little things that are just nick picky details. If you look at the big picture, you'll see all the good that he's done. That's how he was made a mod in the first place.

I know people - Good friends of mine, that HAVE been moderators, and have offered a hand if I need one. The only reason I don't take them up on that offer, is because I want to give the active members a chance.

When I reached 30% warn. The suspension ended on the 20th.

It really doesn't concern you.

Nor does it concern any of the other non mods here, but no tells them to stop posting. (Please do not start a flame war over this.)

actually, I suspended him twice. :P

Am I the only one that actually tells the rest of the staff when I suspend people?

And being a regular is gonna stop him from being good? You can do as much good as possible but that's not erasing his mistakes. If the new mod isn't good then just move on to another or give Arc another go.

Idk about the friend part, but the only reason Vincent hired me was because of my prior experience.

I've held mod powers and admin powers at forums NOT run by my friends, and I only started socializing on the internet 2 1/2 years ago. Don't say I'm not qualified... sir.

Hard to tell when you just came back like 3 weeks ago............

1.) The hero also gets the person who issued the order pissed, and, unless they're part of some secret government organization, they don't really keep thier jobs. :/

2.) He already told him to take it down. It's disobedience.

3.) Of course he can have an opinion. How he expresses that opinion, however, makes a big difference.

4.) Then he shouldn't be a mod. If some spammer was a mod magically, he would be demoted for spamming because it is who he is.

5.) And Jyosua has obviously seen what Arc has done a mod and does NOT agree with it. Multiple little offenses are basically the same as one (or more) big offenses. Remind me what good he's done. Yes, I know he helped mend your friendship with MaSu, but by breaking the rules!

I, in no way, am biased against Arc. If it seems that way, I'm sorry.

Btw, I've been an a global mod on two forums prior to this one. :P

I make it a habit of informing the others when I do stuff like that, because I'd rather get called wrong to my face than wake up and get overturned.

I'm talking about on the staff forum. Now that I think about it, I've only seen like 1 other topic dealing with a suspension not made by me. And how times to I have to say that I read the forums like, every other day or so back when I was absent.

This is really getting nowhere.

We've made our case for keeping Metal Arc. You've made your case for choosing someone else. In the end it's up to Jyosua and Vincent. Further arguing could only fuel the flames for a flame war.

My suggestion?

-Keep Metal Arc as a mod, and appoint another mod. If you have trouble being everywhere at all times, then another mod will help to keep Arc in check. If he breaks the rules again, you can boot Arc and be back down to three mods.

That doesn't make sense. Why give him ANOTHER chance? <_<

Have I kept my promise of no major mod abuse?

No MAJOR mod abuse, like deleting the FFtF topics, but certainly multiple small offenses.
