Besides the typical destinations (Gold Coast, Uluru from a culturally sensitive distance etc) if I had someone visit me in Canberra I'd take them up this hill, Cooleman Ridge. Doesn't sound too impressive, but Canberra's really fucking flat, so you can actually see the whole city from the top. It's traditionally where southside college students used to go to get laid. Alternatively, if you find yourself in inner-western Sydney for whatever reason, check out Leichhardt's Italian Plaza which is... hopefully still as I remember it as a child... more likely, though, just. Boat around everywhere. If you are in Sydney and haven't ferried at least one place you have failed as a human being.
