I know I haven't been on here in several days, missing a lot. I had intended to take a slight break from 13S and play one match of Endless Space 2, I had bought most of the DLC for cheap and wanted to try the Umbral Choir faction. I fell into the rabbit hole as I usually do with 4X games and wasted all my gaming time on it, and predictably, I found things too easy on the lower difficulties, so I tried turning it up to the max, and found myself losing yet continually ramming my head against the brick wall of AI spammy bonuses. *Sigh* In all that time I could've finished 13S easily, I wasted it instead.🤨 I'll try getting back to it today, or even EOIV.

I'll read through what I missed and catch up in another post.

Bro even JP fans are pissed. And this is like their market.

And to think several days ago I was considering starting MK2 when today's reveal came. No longer feelin' it.

Gushine Lymphatic has become a great stain in human history. It has drawn oodles of fresh attention the visible great profitability of the anime gatcha waifu market, and now its general aesthetic is being copied by everyone wanting in on the latest gold rush fad, choosing to ignore the reality that few will strike it rich, as is always the case. If there are sages who show restrain and wisdom over base instinct and life in unreality in the business community, I'm sure they're an endangered species.

Atelier used to have in-game time limits to accomplish various goals. Fail to complete the goals in time, and it's Game Over. Later in the franchise these were abolished, to the liking of many, but I do imagine a few old guard members missed them.

Now it's Game Over eventually no matter what. Like life itself.

More swing. It's something of a trend that Hispanics, specially religious ones, vote Republican. Though if I recall, it tends to be over specific reasons (abortion, stopping the "commiecrats" in the case of the Cuban-Americans, etc.), otherwise, the Republicans' WASP-ness would've turned them off a long time ago.

Republicans also are at least competent in reaching out to them. They aim for Hispanics who know little to no English to spew their propaganda.

Yeah this is specifically true, it always hurts me to see my hispanic family vote Republican cuz it's so dumb. Also because they are zealously homophic and transphobic and they won't ever budge on those because "muh religion"

Also, in large part it's the Democrats who do nothing to appeal to Hispanics.

No but ACTUALLY? I haven't gotten to CS4 yet (I beat CS2) but Ouroboros falls off so hard after Sky... it's quite sad.

Spain (and Portugal) saw the Reconquista, the longest recorded war ever fought, at like 784 years. Slowly pushing the Muslims out of Iberia. Would not surprise me if a lot of Spaniards can trace their lineage to Middle Eastern ancestors.

Hell, Latinos fall into that too if you go back far enough.

I find it also quite unfortunate that despite years of cultural cohesion and mixture, they ended up being completely kicked out and outlawed, and even to this day, at least as far as I can tell, there is a strong anti-muslim sentiment in Spain.

Maybe it's just an alt-right thing.

Also, 784 years? But was it continously one war, or was it like the 100 years war, where it was actually more like 3 wars but all super long and only with few years of peace?

Don't people usually start with 6? That's the one with all the characters everyone knows, right? Aren't the older games harder to find?

Yeah because the PC-98 games are all like, different. The character designs are different too, even though some of them are the same like Reimu or Marisa.

I started with 1 because I wanted to work my way up, lol.

Also they are really easy to find on the Moriya shrine website, so that's what I did. It even has a handy emulator guide.

I am pretty white, though I get tanned easily. But it's mostly my hairstyle. I have long black hair that I wear in a ponytail, a round beard and a stache that just can't seem to reach the beard. All in all, I do look rather arabic, I guess, even though I've no muslim blood in me that isn't as diluted as any other Spaniard's.

Long hair gang 💪, though I can't make mine into a ponytail just yet, but I can let the bangs out and the hair flow through the front of my shoulders it's pretty awesome :Lyon: (not as exaggerated as this, unfortunately)

I've also always been fascinated with people who have those big ass moustaches, how they do it? Mine doesn't seem to ever grow that way but then I see people get full on bushes lol. Genetics, probably, and for me I'd have to really look into how to condition the stache to grow. Not that it bothers me tbh. I like the little facial hair I get.

The copium is that this has to be a one-off. The title is "Forgotten Alchemy and the Liberator of the Polar Night" so if it was a real game, you could say this is the start of the "Liberator" series. But there's no way they can make three of these in a row.

Also it doesn't even look like it's being localized at the moment.

It's also weird when Hispanics vote for tougher borders. Clip of the Cuban woman saying "I like Trump because he's tough on immigrants" my sister in Christ, you are the immigrant.

Like I get that you can't just let people freely come in but maybe streamline the immigration process then? It's bad if the borders are too tough but you also have to let people in too. It's a balancing act but also the average illegal immigrant pays more in taxes than Jeff Bezos so maybe we should strip his citizenship instead.

It's Europe, there tends to be anti-whatever sentiment over the borders. There's been a positive shift I think but issues are still there.

For example, ask a European what their opinion is on the Romani.

Probably a mix of both. It definitely wasn't a single war although you could argue the World Wars were just a single war with a truce period. The Korean War technically never ended so if fighting broke out again, it wouldn't be the Korean War 2, it'd just be the continuation.

Yeah, I don't understand why their pea brains can't process such a simple damn thought 🤯

On that topic, I always get confused. I know Romani are not Romanians or have anything to do with Rome, I forget, don't they come from like central asia or something?

5 minutes ago, Armagon said:

You could, but I wouldn't. I think the conditions were different enough to warrant it being a different war. Like I don't think WW2 was caused by WW1, it was caused by everyone liking the Nazis secretly so nobody said anything when they rose to power (except for socialists but those got suppressed more heavily) and did their shit until they got their doorsteps threatened (France, England, and the US, literally).

Words cannot describe how dull CS1 felt, and how terrible CS2 was. I hear it gets back to being really good with Hajimari and Kuro so I want to get to them, at least.

I think so. To this day, they're kinda nomadic and don't really identify as whatever country they live in. Unfortunately, in current year, a few Eastern Europe countries still have segregated schools specifically to give Romani kids second-class education.

Reading up on it, the word gypsy is kinda slur for them over in Europe but in America, it doesn't really have negative meanings anymore.

Eastern Europe honestly sounds like the Latin America of America, lol. Minus the speaking the same language part.

True true, but hey, it is pretty funny how Brazil is the one country in the continent that doesn't speak Spanish. Yes, I know it's because it started as a Portuguese colony but still.

Guayanas in in South America. Belize is Central (North) America.

Though debatably, the Americas are currently one continent thanks to the isthmus of Panama.

It's certainly something of a cultural divide. In the same sense Europe and Asia are two continents, but then there's also Eurasia.

Not that it stops people from saying North America is only the US and Canada.

Also, by definition, neither Guyana nor Suriname are part of Latin America.

Not happening. Partisan gridlock has kept anything from getting done since the '90s in the US. Now it's a campaign promise for both parties and ephemeral executive orders, yet real, lasting reform needs legislation and the two parties are lightyears apart.

The issue I've heard is that the global immigration system simply wasn't made for how things are nowadays, the structure is dated. Immigrants often claim "asylum", which can't be ignored, when they're actually coming just for work (I'm not sure of what the official internationally-recognized definition of "asylum" is, but I'm sure it's along the lines of "life/wellbeing is in real danger in one's home country"). Immigrant labor is important, countries need it, but it isn't the same as requiring asylum. Any restructuring of the immigration system (outside of "shut it down, install flaming trenched barbed-wire machine-gun walls") needs well-organized separate tracks for different types of immigrants.

From what I've been told, Europeans used to think of the Americas as literally one. Supposedly that's why it's five rings for the Olympics symbol, one for each permanently-inhabited continents, all linked together as one in sports.

Yep. It was also more or less the last time the classic Mazinger-verse (not counting Infinity) showed up. Well, SRW K was the absolute last for Mazinger Z, but for Great and Grendizer it was Z1.

Not just that but with populations slowly declining, immigration is what keeps them up.

I think the problem too is that fundamentally, the idea of moving does not mesh with all the ID systems and whatnot. A century ago, people could just move. Move states, move countries.

Oh hey, there seems to be a VN sale at Steam if any of you folks care.

Me, I'm too busy making the last, and final, character for the hack. Primarily because I cannot fit more characters if I tried.

This one's going to be extra special, though. It's something that wasn't in FE6 at all. Hopefully I can pull it off.
