If Thracia got remade to be like a different FE game, (say, FE7) the people who loved Thracia would be mad about their Thracia's remake being not Thracia. The fact that the game now has a full story instead of 30 lines of dialouge already sets it apart from DS FE. But then the map design wasn't touched at all even though it's not that bad and the worst Echoes maps are stil 10x more fun than the best FE4 map but then they also completely reworked the dungeons but then weapon management is exactly the same, i could go on and on. Imo, a remake should change stuff enough to be very different from original, and only slightly resemble it. If i want to play original, i should just go play original. I love Thracia, but i wouldn't mind if some stuff in remake got changed (mainly the kaga surprise bs). If i want the old experience, i can still play the old game.
