The End of Fire Emblem Path of Radiance: Part 2

I probably don't have to say this but spoilers for the end of this game just encase

Finally makes Elincia a unit

Takes her away literally the chapter after.

Oh, damn. I wanted to give each unit a special forged weapon before the final battle but I used the feature so little that I didn't even know there was a limit.

Well at least I got one.

There's a wojak meme that looks like this guy somewhere.

I know I called him MIster steal-your-girl but I didn't think he was literally going to steal our girl.

Which now that I think about it, if the continents of Tellius and Archanea share the same world and universe, does that mean Manaketes are just Laguz with a different cultural identity?

In today's episode of Fire Emblem tonal whiplash. Daein commits this world's equivalent of the fucking Holocaust.

No but seriously, the similarities are uncanny.

The irony here is that my go-too-units at the moment only include like three Crimeans.

A good quote but still focuses on an individual achievement. It would've been even better if she followed it up with a "Together we stand, divided we fall" sentiment.

Ashnard is kinda boring as a villain.

I like how Ashnard's evil acts of fratricide and Parricide would be considered common practice for medieval dynasties.

This honestly got me giddy as I began putting the pieces together.

Is it just me, or is there something really creepy whenever at the end of the credits they make damn sure they get it through that they own this product?

I'll be sharing my full thoughts tomorrow when I wake up probably, but I'll give the short version now. This game, even with all of it's flaws, was I a game I absolutely adored and I would not hesitate to call it my new favorite game in the series.

Noooow as for the next title I'll play you'll be surprised to hear that it wont be Radiant Dawn! Nope, with how good I found this game to be I really want to give it time to sink in before I dive into it's sequel, however I will be playing a Fire Emblem game in between that. A single game detour if you will.

If you take it as assumed they're the same setting, unless they're convergent evolution in action that's a decent assumption.

The only time I don’t use guides is if the game doesn’t have stuff that you could easily miss, like 13 Sentinels as an example off the top of my head.

Ashy never really bothered me. Had SMT x FE resulted in a normal MegaTen-Faia Emuburemu crossover, he would've slid into the forces of Chaos without the slightest hiccup.

I also once wished FE Warriors had given me an Ashnard vs. Zephiel scenario, evil kings who would totally hate each other. I'd also throw in Travant, sitting on the sidelines, trying to figure out who would be best to sell his services to, as an evil king whose desires are "earthly", he wants one specific territory that's all, ideals as Zeph and Ashy spout have no meaning to him.

I think it depends on the place and the time to some extent. The earlier in the Dark and Middle Ages, the more likely.

IRL, the iron wasn't hot for those who got the first chance to play Radianto Dawn -an almost two-year wait for the Japanese- so why give it a couple months? That's closer to how the original experience was.

Old Mystery I feel is only a big thing in Japan. Outside it has its fans, but it's a much smaller outset.

As for Genealogy... not really, considering it's the other defacto response to the "good FE stories" question. Though it tends to get more heck for its gameplay than PoR even though they're both terrible.

Honestly, yeah. Everyone's always singing this game's praises, but I don't really see Ashnard being spoken of as highly. He gets some praise, but it's a lot less attention than the likes of Black Knight or even someone like Shiharam.

Probably because he's bland as fuck.

At least for this specific series they don't seem to mind fan products. People make straight up new sometimes better FEs by modifying Sacred Stones and they don't give a flying fuck lol

Ended up resetting the chapter. I got better levels anyway.

...I'm going to end up using shaman girl again, though. After part one, there's the choice between having shaman girl or outlaw dude return early. Picked her in both my previous runs and I'm going to pick her again. Not quite the spirit of seeing different things on replays, but she's just too cool. Especially now with her shiny new portraits.

I want that generic in my team.

Seadall can be seen as a green unit in the map where Pandreo is showed off. I really hope that means paralogue or shenanigans and not Seadall being like, the last unit to join. Early dancers are best dancers.

Lumerra is confirmed to be the opponent in what looks to be one of the very first maps. Don't think it'll be the first because the twins are already there. Maybe after the first skirmish she feels the need to get Alear some extra training.

Fun fact, the scene is slightly different in the Japanese version, from what I recall. Though its full significance won't be seen until RD. Not in a critical way, but more in a headscratching way. Should you be curious to find out now...

While the English dialogue doesn't make it clear, the Japanese version sort of makes it more clear that Rajaion dies either right there in Ena's embrace, or very shortly after.

Though well, would have to recheck the Japanese script again. Or maybe this little tidbit was stated in RD itself. And on the subject of RD's script...

Kinda would love if you could kill people by pushing them off cliffs. Fighting next to cliffs would be super dangerous, though...
