Dunno why Sacred Stones gets the hate it seems to get. I’m enjoying it

First run through and after a little arena time (because Im a dirty SOB like that 😎)  I’ll have Ch 10A wrapped up

Interesting twist with the random skirmishes on the world map

About time I got around to getting a good image of it. Sure, it's blurry, dark and he looks like he's going to murder you if you don't play Berwick Saga, but then, I think that gets the intent across much better than a clean, sharp picture would.

It's very, very easy. That's mostly it, FE players can't handle boring games. Or at least I can't.

I do have a soft spot for it, unlike PoR for which I only have burning hatred, primarily because SS was my third FE, back when I still was bad enough at the series to be entertained by it, unlike PoR. Also, SS is shorter, faster, has a cast I enjoy more, vastly better villains and Moulder's Mouldstache. So uh, yeah, what I'm saying is, I get it, but I can't hate it myself.

He's the coolest healer in the series, that's who. He's the one and only unit in the game who doesn't lose speed with Excalibur. With his titanic con, he loses two speed, but gains three from the speed bonus. Everyone else gets weighed down so much, the speed bonus does not compensate. Hilarious.

Now do Berwick Saga.

Hmm, two recommendations for it. And I am interested in it…

I wonder when @Benice will be back. I would love him to be present for such a playthrough.

Ahh, a fellow FE12 enjoyer. With caveats, but frankly, caveats I can agree with. Still hurts me physically to see the game at the top, but different strokes for different folks.

It’s okay, the game being top for you (apart from Engage), despite its fun times hurts me too.

I am proud of you, Sooks.

I used Tiki

It’s known for being on the easy side but honestly, if you don’t use the broken pre-promotes it’s not that bad until the end. Which route did you pick? I mean you said 10A but idk which is which.

Hey it’s me with FEs 4 and 7. Not that either is hated but I get the dissent.

Literally how dare you say this about the game with L’Arachel in it, don’t make me kill Derrick.

He's around, he connects frequently, he's just not posting. Might not have a computer available. It's all right @Benice, I understand, Phone Serenes is too painful, not worth it. We'll ping ya for the occasion and I'll shill your boy Esteban for you!

Hah.

Well, the top is Berwick Saga, to be completely fair. And there are days when I'm not even sure why FE12 is at the top lol, I see and recognize all the faults. I suppose it's just a combination of having plenty of bad units to keep me interested in replays, and the game just being so fucking nice and smooth to play. Engage cannot rival that. I probably will have to knock it down a spot or two, I've never felt so discouraged to return to a game I've loved.

Yeah, no. Listen to me, L'Arachel is awesome, I love her, she's the best, a holy woman and all. But Moulder is cooler. I'm sorry, it's just how it is.

Also, killing Derrick is a war crime, and not the fun type. You'll dearly regret it when I break into your house and plant a Berwicksign outside your bedroom window, obscuring your view of the outside.

L'Arachel should be main lord of FE8 remake

Yes, please. Give me an actually interesting character. Alternatively, they can steal my Eirika, people loved her. Just sayin', Maeda. Gimme a call.

Why try Berwick when there's lots of SRW's to try...

Well, if Sooks is more in the mood for a strictly story-based experience, he can go for it. The only competition I could offer there is Disco Elysium, which is a masterpiece you should all play, but he already tried it and bounced off, so...

No don’t pressure me into starting now

How long is this game anyway?

Better than Engage?

Bold of you to assume a fire emblem fan wants to view the outside.

Unfortunately you’re right, I am that fan. But you would need a lot of signs to obscure the outside, it’s a decently sized window.

I probably should revisit it. As long I don’t get so horribly distracted by all the side-content… but that’s a big ask.

Emblem Engage!

The world had changed to my eyes.  I had not expected such cruelty from the light.  For in the embrace of the sun, I could find no comfort, only malice. This would change in time for the worse, along with other things.

Rather long. It's 41 maps and there's a lot of story, not quite Triangle Strategy levels of text between levels, but the game's still wordy. All in all I'd say 50-60 hours is what you'd be looking at.

Oh, it's not even close.

Bold of you to assume I will find the prospect of having to utilize multiple Berwicksigns a deterrant.

Yeah, I allowed myself a brief bout of arrogance. I will never forgive myself.

Yeah, I understand. I, too, got sidetracked with completely wacky stuff. I just ended up finding the plot by accident, more or less.

Should’ve expected this from Not Fire Emblem™

It would be a lot of signs, too many to afford for someone so spent their life savings on furniture.

I mean wacky stuff is fun until you’ve killed the pacing and you’re not interested anymore. Which is probably a sign to return to the story…

No? I thought it was clear lol, I'm not exactly discreet about my love for Berwick.

Someone should keep track of the TeeHee Support Chart.

We should write hypothetical support chains between various teehee members and put 'em into a Fates mod or something

Or for Engage, at least when you were playing it, so I realized I wasn’t exactly sure which came out on top.

I don't even know how it happened. He randomly made it while I was trying to catch a screenshot and I seized the opportunity.

Engage came closest in a while, but even then the far, far, far, FAR superior story in Berwick Saga and its uniqueness gave it an edge. Then I replayed Engage and the PS1-tier loading screens kinda murdered my love for the game.
