The game had its last major DLC -Awakening- released back in 2019. The duties for creating said DLC had been passed to an outsider developer, not the creators of the base game and its earlier expansions. That was a mistake, as Awakening seems to have received almost nothing but negative reception. At the end of last year though the original developers decided to go back, and with the help of the player community, worked on a massive patch released just today that appears to have fixed all the problems with Awakening, including some serious overhauling of its awakened-from-ancient-cryostasis religious Nakalim playable faction. An unexpected development for such an old game, but it sounds a sign the devs seriously cared about their product all along. As the DLC + the 2021 minor DLC that had a serious bug (now-fixed) were only $4 combined on sale ATM, I decided to get them. Having them gives me all the non-soundtrack DLC for the game, and I like having that for a 4X game.😄 --- ...And while on Steam during that the moment, looking at my Recent Games row, seeing the Library game column off to the side. My eyes naturally honed in on one game, one picture, one icon, one section of that image. It'll be exactly one week tonight that my heart was set aflutter, and seeing him even in passing, despite the downs that've come with the hiiiiiiighs!, he's still making me smile.🤣 If I get told that the a-word🧩 means I'll forever be a kind of child, then that's fine if they meant having this feeling within me. This is the kind of joie de vivre that'll we'll all be yearning to relive when we're in our 70s and beyond. Where's are those intolerable feelings from last night and even just hours ago today?
