Speaking of Laguz offspring, there's a similar deal with elves and humans in UO. One of the recruits, Ridiel, is half-elf and she gets shunned by both humans and elves (humans are envious while elves think she's impure). Like the racism is treated as a thing of the past there. Now elf racism towards humans, that's another thing. I be liberating towns and some elves straight up go "wow, i didn't know humans could be good guys too". Again this is absolutely nothing new for the concept of elves.
