  1. Edelgard is just not very emotional because she saw a lot of death in her own family. If your whole family was murdered by experiments you wouldn't react much if the father of a good friend would die, especially if you have no connection with his death. Why should she show remorse if she had nearly nothing to do with it? She let Monica into the monastery but she couldn't do anything against it. That's the only thing she had to do with it.
  2. I doubt it has to do with fooling somebody. I mean... everybody did know that Gustave and Gilbert are the same. She even talks with Dimitri about her past. It's most like more something like a monastic name. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Religious_name#Monastic_and_papal_name
  3. Hubert is not an idiot. We should he blame Monica in front of other people (he does so even if Byleth is in another house) if she is an ally of Edelgard? Do you have any source to beliefe that Edelgard allied with Kronya on her own interest? She doesn't seem happy about Monica at all.
  4. If they were just plotting together why is Hubert concerned about Monica? They are not working together and it's pretty obvious that Edelgard is not enjoying that Monica is near her. It's pretty obvious that Monica search Edelgards near and not the other way around.
  5. Oh yes. The Catholic bishops are in the Vatican there whole life. Of course. Cardinals don't life at the church. They have their own life and places. Mostly they are bishop in other cities which keeps them away from the Vatican until there is a meeting. It will be the exact same here. There is no reasons for the Cardinals to life in Garreg Mach.
  6. No she's not. That's explained in her supports. She was Cassandra of the House Charon and visited Garreg Mach Monastery together with Lonato's son Christophe. So they were childhood friends and were in the Blue Lions. But at some point Christophe was involved in a plot to kill Rhea and Cassandra turned him in to Rhea and Christophe was executed. Because they didn't want the public to know there was a plot to kill Rhea they publicy said Chrstiophe was involved in Duscur, which was a lie by the Church. Cassandra herself was claimed to be part of a plot to kill the king, that's why she flied and Rhea take her into the knights to safe her. Because of that she changed her name to Catherine. She did know Dimitri as child too. So no she is absolutelly not older.
  7. Of course you can threaten people you have no power over. Also they DO order her around and placed Monica in the monastery to control her. They control the whole emnpire and her father. They threat her as their creation and order her around all the time. After the timeskip she was crowned Emperor, so a completelly different situation. She wasn't Emperor during the school phase. And even then the one time she goes against them they nuke Arianhrod because she worked against them. They have absolutelly control over her otherwise she wouldn't work with them.
  8. But why? And how? That would just work by introducing dimensional travel intro Three Houses which would feel totally forced.
  9. Yes, but how it looks is still different. Some people are still death. In the end why should I read any book by that logic, if the ending is mostly "and they all lived happily ever after"? That is simplifing the endings on this point and ignoring all the changes which happen in Fodlan and all the deaths which happened.
  10. That's not really in character for both of them. Ferdinand is actually one of the biggest supporters of her reforms in the supports. In his A support with Edelgard he is the one making suggestions how to replace nobility with a commoner political elite by making education free for everybody. Ferdinand is not really a 'Nobles are awesome!' dude as he seems on the first glance. He prefers a noble nobility and hates bad nobles. He even isn't very found about his father and his politics.
  11. That would be stupid and totally against anything Edelgards want. Edelgard is against judging you by your family. So if she executes Ferdinand because his father is bad that would totally against her own idea. And if that was the case she should execute Hubert as well.
  12. Most likely you actually did miss the quest to get the ring. It's not the mission at the grave. It's a missiuon later in the game after Jeralt died. Did you see the ring after the grave scene again?
  13. Actually Bernadettas Family is against Edelgard. Also people don't really seem to understand Ferdinand that much. His rivaly with Edelgard is because he adores her, not because he doesn't like her. He was even the one suggestion to edelgard to make schools for everybody and support the better students to creat a political elite to replace the nobility in the A support. Ferdinand is not a die hard noble elitist like he seems at first. Also he doesn't liked it father that much it seems, as he did saw his flaws. Ferdinand is one of the guys, who would likely help Edelgard very likely. Also if Linhardt hates conflicts, why should he be part of a rebellion against Edelgard which means even more conflicts? You basically also can many pro edelgard arguments about a lot of them too.
  14. Caspar would side with Edelgard because in HIS view Edelgard is the hero, not the villain. And Ashe also joins the empire in the GD route...
  15. About Monica: We know she was Monica von Ochs, which is an Imperial noble house. Which isn't even true for the Catholic church. Actually the Catholic church was behind a lot of improvements. They foundet universities, they were the only places were people could learn reading and writting etc. They basically safed books during the attacks of the Ge4rmanic and Hunnic hordes. Also they used all ancient authors they could get even translated them from Arabic and all. The whole 'Catholic church is against technology' was propaganda by the Protestants and than Atheists.
  16. I mean... in RL you don't change that much aging up from 51 to 56. They are just so old that they didn't really age visually anymore.
  17. It's told in the game that Enbarr is way older than the Empire and the creation of the church. It's an old city. All details we learn in the game pretty much agree that she was really born in Enbarr and lived there for a time.
  18. Yes she was able to threat Thales, becasue he KNOWS she has no power and because they control her. That's the only reason. Why did you think they can order the flame emperor around? Also even in BL Edelgard says it's hurt her to hurt you and that she didn't want to fight against you. GHuberts commend on Monica also suggests he and Edelgard are not happy about her being around. Edelgard absolutelly has no reason why she would kill Byleth. She has absolutelly no desire to do so. It would totally out of character for her to intentionally trying to kill Byleth at this stage.
  19. That makes absolutelly no sense with her personbality and her affection for Byleth. You should listen to Edge of Dawn or listen to her conversations with Byleth. Also she has no choice other than helping TWISTD. She is under their control, not the other way around. It's pretty obvious she didn't likes it to work with them. But they are in control of the whole empire and her family. Also Monica was always around her. There was no chance to reveal her identity without them noticing. Monica was there to have an eye on Edelgard.
  20. But... Arianhrod was only nuked BECAUSE Edelgard killed Cornelia. If Cornelia is still alive, there is no reason to nuke Arianhrod. Also an important point: How would we deal with Divine Pulse since technically we shouldn't be able to use it anymolre after the battle with Rhea.
  21. I'm pretty sure the destinction IS explained in the game. And it's nothing more than 'A major crest means your bloodline is stronger, sometimes that happens'. So nothing special, really. Some have major crest, some don't have crest at all and some have a minor crest. It's just simple genetics with recessive gens which can skip generations.
  22. How would she replace Dimitri and overthrow the kingdom of Dimitri has Rhea on his side? She can't claim Dimitri for murder if the pope is protecting him. Rhea is a higher authority than Cornelia there is no way for her to get ride of Dimitri if Rhea is on his side and with him in Fhirdiad. There was absolutelly no way for Cornelia to overthrow the kingdom in this situation.
