Pride Posted June 4, 2012 Share Posted June 4, 2012 It'd be nice if you contributed more than a reporting in post and a random vote. Sorry about that, been tied up with schoolwork and stuff. Game started a couple days too early for my taste, but anyway I don't really have much to add. I'm not familiar with anyone's playstyle here, and reading through the thread I am actually inclined to think BBM's response to the vote pressure on him right now is...appropriate. I'd like to unvote him, but I wanna see if this pressure will lead to any other things of interest before I do so I'll see where we're at later today and try and figure what's what from there. I agree BBM's reaction(s) warrant suspicion but there seems to be a large amount of focus just on him, and not much going on otherwise(well besides the whole helping nano figure out what to talk about thing, and thats not particularly stellar pro-town discussion either). It would be a waste of a day to get stuck on a vote wagon so early and not be able to get better reads on others, like those of us who haven't posted as much(sorry, I'm hoping to pick up activity soon). ##Vote:Bizz Quite a long time ago you said you had been sleeping and needed to read through the thread, yet you still haven't come back and said anything about what you supposedly read...Biiiiz where aaaare you? The vote was a reaction test, though. Wasn't wanting to say anything about Subi so I didn't go into detail about why I found her scummy. But since I'm sure people want to know, it's because her posts were mostly empty. 3 out of 11 posts she had at that time weren't scummy, the rest were a bit suspicious IMO or just fairly meaningless. 1. N0 chatter. 2. Random vote for Eclipse that appears truly random. 3. Nothing but votals. 4. Votals? Fun? 5. "Am I doin' it right? If I'm not, it's not my fault" 6. Tbh I felt it was pretty much wrapped up with me/Marth's exchange--I had thought making a single post with all of my relevant thoughts at the time was a useful thing to do, Marth let me know it's actually not, in future I will try to get thoughts across in a better way. The potential scummyness wasn't my concern as much as the fact that if it's scummy, well, that means it's not helpful for Town, right? If I want to win, I gotta make my thoughts helpful for Town. I mean, that depends on your opinions, obviously, parroting isn't a lot of help and is scummy but that's true regardless of how you post. I think Scorri and Subieko are looking good, on the town side of things. I don't have any real scumreads yet, but I am a bit suspicious of Kay, due to this post: http://serenesforest.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=32983&view=findpost&p=2004523 She votes for Subieko at the end of the post, but doesn't mention anything about Subieko at all in the post. And since there was actually a bit of discussion about whether or not Subieko's list post was scummy, it doesn't make sense for a random vote either. You say that you didn't want to say anything about Subieko. If you found her scummy, why not? Also, a bit puzzled about Marth's reaction to Subieko's list post. I have a feeling it was just a random vote, then justified later, to make it seem like you knew what you were doing. If you knew the reasons, why didn't you explain it initially? I don't like this at all. See, if someone votes for you, you have several options: ignore them, defend yourself against their accusations, come up with your own reasons why you shouldn't be lynched, claim in some way or another, or freak out. She explained her reasons very thoroughly as soon as Eclipse asked, though, and she was right. I admit I was goofing around N0 and early D1, and after that I had quite a few posts where I was just getting a feel for things and wasn't really contributing much. I hope my more recent posts have been better in this regard. I do think there are others who have contributed less than me (Pride, Iris, and Nano spring to mind), but I had more posts than them so I suppose I stuck out more. Either way, it seemed to me like Kay's pressure was appropriate. Switching topics, Haze hasn't posted for a while. Now that more people have voted BBM and BBM has responded, I want to know if he still thinks BBM is scummy. There's also been one point that's been bugging me--Haze first voted for BBM because of BBM's support/defense of Scorri. So...Haze, if BBM's reasoning for why Scorri is Town was wrong, does that mean you think Scorri is scummy?
